  1. If we want the next Liriano, we just have to trade AJP to some other team.
  2. 1) What format you prefer playing - Head 2 Head 2) Your relative level of experience - Very Experienced 3) Your league preference - Competitive, I was in league 1 last year 4) Whether or not you are willing to be a league commisioner - Rather not
  3. Holy crap, I immediately thought Claire was the one that was going to die, then he broke it to us that it was Charlie. What an awesome episode, Des reliving his past and having deja vu was crazy, the woman in the jewelry store kinda freaked me out. What the hell is going to happen next
  4. Whatever dude, that show is awesome.
  5. If this was hollywood they could just send him to rehab and everyone would forget it ever happened.
  6. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Feb 14, 2007 -> 06:12 PM) R&W, I'm just wondering, does it bug you that the Sawks are going into ST without a defined closer? I mean, personally, it just makes no sense to me as to why they'd remove Papelbon from the closer's spot when he was so otherworldy effective last year. I mean, imagining They had to it was doctors orders based on the health of his arm. He needs to have a set schedule.
  7. Rogan is a black belt and a dangerous man, I wouldnt be sitting there calling him a b**** if I was that fat hack.
  8. The bucks eek one out against the worst team in the big ten. That game was highlighted by horrible coaching by Thad Matta. He refused to adjust to the spread out zone by PSU while they were putting two players on both sides of Oden he didnt spread the floor to create open shots. That wont work in tourney time, because alot of teams make the miracle shots that PSU made tonight.
  9. You know you are being extremely negative when you say that it was a mistake to trade Chris Stewart of all people.
  10. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Feb 14, 2007 -> 02:52 PM) I'm of the feeling now the first round pick is rather useless. What exactly can we get, considering New York isn't cooperating and the Bulls are in playoff contention? I'm not a draft expert, but are there any franchise players beyond Durant and Oden? Not any that I have heard of. Anything below five and we're drafting into an already crowded group of complimentary players. Without drafting, signing, or acquiring a talent comparable to Gasol/Garnet, Bulls will be exactly how they are right now for the unforseeable future. That is, good enough to make the playoffs; but unable to do much else. I wouldnt say there isnt much beyond the top two picks. They should be legit stars, but there is a ton of talent coming out for sure. Trading your future stars for a player that may improve your team and may not is moronic IMO. FA and the draft is the way to build this team. QUOTE(Jimbo @ Feb 14, 2007 -> 02:53 PM) Which is why you pick up a star via trade. Get rid of Gordon now. How many teams trade their leading scorer and actually get better?
  11. On Sportsnight they said "the loveable losers no more" when describing the cubs. Umm excuse me? When did they not finish in last place in 2006?
  12. QUOTE(Jimbo @ Feb 14, 2007 -> 11:49 AM) I figure the core is Kirk, Gordon and Deng. This leaves us with an aging Wallace after next year and no Center. Please explain?? Wallace isnt much of a center at this point. He adds some defensive abilty, but it killing us offensively, and hurts our pick and roll game which is the bread and butter of a team with the perimeter skills that we have. I am more in favor of building through the draft and Free Agency than mortgaging our future stars. Gasol would take Deng to be dealt, and Deng>than Gasol will ever be.
  13. QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Feb 14, 2007 -> 11:53 AM) Still waiting on your squakhawk friend to tell me how Sherron Collins is better than any pg in the Big 10, when he wouldnt even be the best freshman. Oh wait I forgot, its because Jaysquawks only beat themselves. No Rock Wisconsin is the worst team in the Big 10. Its Football team is the worst, and its basketball team is second worst (behind Northwestern) I was talking academically dude. I would rank it 3rd behind NW and Mich and slightly above U of I. Edit: Looks like you took that part out of your post.
  14. QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Feb 14, 2007 -> 11:51 AM) Wait was that a serious comment watchtower? Havent seen an "Elite" team? When is the last time that Kansas has gotten farther than my non-elite Wisconsin? Is Wisconsin even one of the top schools in the Big Ten?
  15. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Feb 14, 2007 -> 11:48 AM) God I hate it so much when people cite that case as if it was a frivolous lawsuit. Please, take some time and actually learn about the merits of that case. 3rd degree burns. 700 other burn cases before a lawsuit finally was triggered, including burns which caused permanent disability. It was frivolous, even reading those blogs, the people are retarded. If you make hot soup in your microwave, you spill it on yourself placing it on your lap, do you sue the microwave company? can you sue yourself? If something is served hot, most likely it will be hot.
  16. The fast break offense or whatever you just called it is great in the grind of the long season, but its VERY hard to win without a big man. Even the showtime teams for the Lakers that made that style of play popular had a dominant big man. We can look at all the last championship or great teams and they all (except for the bulls) had a good or great big man. QUOTE(Jimbo @ Feb 14, 2007 -> 09:06 AM) Make a trade Pax, your window is going to close soon. I dont agree with this at all. They have a young core, their window will be open for several seasons, especially with the emergence of Deng as a future star. Trading for right now is not a great idea.
  17. i'll be there, sometime early in the session. I can meet y'all at TD's on speedway.
  18. QUOTE(redandwhite @ Feb 14, 2007 -> 11:34 AM) This is ridiculous. If anyone thinks she should go to jail at all, no less 40 years, they should be shot and killed. They will if its judged by the same people who ruled in favor of the dumbass who burnt herself with hot coffee
  19. QUOTE(redandwhite @ Feb 14, 2007 -> 10:27 AM) I'm not as worried as many are here about the bullpen, but I will admit, if the Red Sox don't do what I expect them to do this season, it will be because of either injury or the lack of reliable arms in the pen. They should have the edge going head to head against the Yankees rotation, but with the ridiculous OBP and pitch count per batter of both teams, the pen should factor into almost every game, and that could kill the Red Sox.
  20. QUOTE(redandwhite @ Feb 13, 2007 -> 09:33 PM) Boston College up a full game now in the ACC without Sean Williams and Akida McClain. Who'd have thunk it? I still loooooove Dudley.
  21. I like the Red Sox rotation much better, but their bullpen is downright horrid. I think that may be their undoing this year. The offenses cancel each other out IMO.
  22. QUOTE(RibbieRubarb @ Feb 14, 2007 -> 06:49 AM) Zito has a Cy Young and more playoff experience. That gives him more leverage in $$$. Zambrano is younger and has better stuff. He is worth ALOT more regardless of playoff experience. Z will have a Cy Young sooner or later for his resume.
