From John Manuel: JOHN MANUEL I think Williams is done, and he probably should be. His is a case, I believe, of making one move too many. How much better would the White Sox be with McCarthy in the rotation and Chris Young in CF all year, instead of dealing Young to the D-backs for the over-rated Javier Vazquez? If the Sox do anything in the next hour or so, I'd guessing it will be for a middle reliever, so McCarthy could go to the rotation.

Im just trying to figure out what would be mutually beneficial to another team. The astros were looking to maybe move Ensberg, maybe they want fields as the future? Maybe they would want another starter which is needed. Can we afford to trade a bat for some pitching? Just heard a rumor of Andrew Jones to the Red Sox? No way Atlanta does that deal.

Makes me think a starter will be shipped out.

It just makes sense for us. Trade Vaz+ someone else, pick up Lidge, put BMAC into rotation.
