QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Aug 14, 2006 -> 10:21 AM) You just got Kalapse'd. Yeah, why dont you answer my soxtalk trivia question in my sig.

Those 6 games in MIN should worry everyone.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Aug 13, 2006 -> 10:36 PM) I own an Aaron Rowand jersey. A-row isnt one of the most obvious cheaters in baseball today.

so i had to watch the game on ESPN last night...

QUOTE(SoxAce @ Aug 13, 2006 -> 12:02 AM) I've already made my point about him many, many times on this board. Never liked him since his comment about sox fans when we hosted the all-star game. He flat out doesnt care for chicago. And every ESPN analyst is going to boner up to the yankees. Just imagine what would happen if they didnt make the playoffs. -
Alot of tigers fans sat near me on sat. well maybe only about 4. After givinig them the typical light hearted crap, we actually had some funny conversations. The one question I really had for one of the guys is why we he buy a Pudge jersey. Besides Bonds, isnt Pudge one of the most obvious cheaters in baseball today? When I buy a jersey, I like to make sure I not only like the player, but the person. It just strikes me odd to wear something representing one of the players who gave baseball a bad name.

QUOTE(He_Gawn @ Aug 13, 2006 -> 03:07 PM) Alright so I've been seeing this girl for almost 6 months and i learn last night that she's probably going to break up with me very soon. The weird thing is we have been through this before, we went out for 2 months, broke up, she figured out she liked me again and here we are again on the brink again or whatever. I mean I know I wont be with her forever, I just wanted to stay with her throughout high school before I go to college. She says she dosnt see me as the boyfriend type anymore all the sudden, same thing happened last time. The thing is I still have serious feelings for her and feel that maybe eventually over time I could love this girl. I can't stand the thought of not being with her and somebody else even having the chance to. Heck even my parents adore her. I've pretty much given everything shes ever asked for but I guess sometimes its not enough. She will still want to be great friends and everything but I'm a pretty greedy guy and that just dosnt seem good enough for me. On the phone tonight were supposed to talk and I dont know if she plans on breaking up tonight or not, but I know its supposed to be very soon. If someone could give me some advice on what to say, what not to say, and just maybe someway to save our relationship would be very much appreciated. Thanks PS- i really wanna try to save this relationship with her if I somehow can. but let me have it i suppose. Seriously, if you want advice from someone who has been through many relationships, good and bad. Fact is, there are lots of women out there. You may think this is the one, or your life will end if she leaves you, but most likely in a few years you will look back and laugh at your reaction and your feelings. My advice to you, be single, have fun, learn more about yourself and when you are ready, a new relationship will find you.

Umm, isnt part of baseball trying to figure out what pitch is coming next? Basically Leyland just said Verlander is s***ty. Thanks for the explanation.

QUOTE(aboz56 @ Aug 12, 2006 -> 07:48 AM) Bye bye, Pods. I like Fields and all, but Sweeney is really exciting me at this point.

QUOTE(Felix @ Aug 11, 2006 -> 07:59 PM) "That throw won't be low" It rhymes! That was a solid play by Crede. Not that easy, but he made it look simple. As usual.

QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Aug 11, 2006 -> 10:48 AM) I talked about that the day after the ASG. They talked about him every single half-inning. They had to be sure to at least mention his name each time, unless they had full piece on him (like his dad, as you said, or where he grew up, or how he's adjusting to such a major market). It was disgusting. He got 10x as much press as any other player. He is a good young player, but the New York media overdid it that night for sure. I think even he realized it.

QUOTE(aboz56 @ Aug 10, 2006 -> 05:27 PM) Calling Jeter overrated is ignorant. He has 4 rings and he's posted consistently solid numbers throughout his career. I'd say a .316 career batting average is awfully good. His OPS for his career is also in the mid .800's which for a SS is respectable. How is he overrated? I agree. He has the 4th best batting avg in yankees history. You are talking about a franchise that has arguably produced the best players over time. He is not overrated.

QUOTE(ceffa2000 @ Aug 11, 2006 -> 12:03 AM) Big hats to Javy for grinding through 5. Did we see him turn a corner after the last two games? He had about 5 chances to crack and he strapped it down and didn't. He made me sweat but he pulled it out. Hats to Bobby tonight too. Alot of credit to AJ for that. He seemed to keep Javy focused and motivate when he needed to be,.

To have any chance of winning the division...
RockRaines replied to Harry&JimmyRocked's topic in Pale Hose Talk
We need 2 out of 3 in every series to make the playoffs. f*** the division honestly. -
Seriously Cano=Mickey Mouse

Anyone wonder why Robinson Cano decided to look as much like Mickey Mouse as possible with those huge white batting gloves.

Yankees Series: Has it Been a Confidence Builder?
RockRaines replied to LVSoxFan's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Aug 10, 2006 -> 04:02 PM) The answer to this question will be decided ENTIRELY by 1 person. Javier Vazquez. Doubt it. Moose will determine it. We generally cant hit him, and if he keeps it up, we are done. -

QUOTE(chimpy2121 @ Aug 10, 2006 -> 01:19 PM) The lack of depth at WR concerns me, but they are the best team in the MAC hands down. Miami will take the MAC. -
I think it was that DMX cd that made him dangerous. I blame the entertainment industry.

QUOTE(TitoMB345 @ Aug 10, 2006 -> 11:36 AM) What about that second basemen from Cuba? He's supposed to be incredible, possibly better than Gooch. Only question is, is he MLB ready? I love Gooch though, but this is a business, and I am ALWAYS willing to upgrade, anywhere, if possible. He will be better than Gooch IMO. That kid is a stud.

There should be a Crede highlight reel.

QUOTE(Beltin @ Aug 10, 2006 -> 09:56 AM) Would he? Based on what he has admitted, he only steps it up against upper echelon teams. I am not sure any NL franchise qualifies right now. Maybe he would pitch better in one of those fantasy tournaments where they match up the best teams of all time. Yeah he would, the teams out there are flat out bad.

Nothing is as bad as not getting more runs on bases loaded with no outs.
