Good luck man. I hope to join you folks out there in the near future.

QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Aug 23, 2006 -> 03:34 PM) I saw more intensity from Rowand in that third of an inning than I've seen from the entire White Sox team in about a month and a half. f***ing go get him. Be it starting, getting 300 ABs off the bench, acting as a cheerleader, whatever, so be it...bring his ass back here. This team needs some kind of spark, it may as well be Rowand. He might have been the motivation that this team has lacked this season.

Turkey Sandwich, and fruit. I wish I had a huge 4 way from skyline chili

We need to break up the Kong-Thome 1-2 punch. Or just put Dye in the 3 hole. It will make the offense better.
-
Dye in the 3-hole, please. We have trotted out this same s***ty lineup vs LHP all year, and it hasnt worked. Learn from your mistakes.

QUOTE(G&T @ Aug 22, 2006 -> 06:59 PM) But MB still has an off speed pitch, unlike Garcia. And MB used to work inside quite a bit when he was good, but that was a long time ago. You mean less than a year ago? I guess thats a long time huh?
-
I guess many of you havent figureed it out yet. This isnt our year. Its not meant to happen. Every break, every call, every borderline pitch goes the other way. We get hit, we dont hit, its just not meant to be. Maybe we will barely make the playoffs, but we wont do s*** if we do. This season is lost.

Heres a question. Where in the lineup would sweeney be most effective? 2-hole?

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Aug 22, 2006 -> 03:34 PM) The move has shades of Anderson 05 written all over it. mmm hmmm. With PODS gone next year, could Sweeney play LF, or at least platoon?
-
its possible they are stretching him out a bit on the side.
-
QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Aug 22, 2006 -> 03:04 PM) If they are seriously considering brining up Sweeney this year, I would have to think they have plans for Ryan next year with the big club. ^^^^^ The kid is showing some serious improvement this year.

QUOTE(Friend of Nordhagen @ Aug 21, 2006 -> 07:35 PM) Great approach by the Tiger hitters -- going the other way. Good outing by Jose. Good job setting a tone for the series. Good job, Chicago White Sox. Basically they used our approach vs Verlander the last couple of times to beat Jose. Then we took their old approach to Jose to lose to Verlander. Quite funny really. -

QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Aug 21, 2006 -> 07:20 PM) Can somebody again tell me why Coop and Jose felt the need to mess around with new arm angles when he was already dominating? Considering he just threw an overhand fastball to Monroe, I dont think that is the issue. -

At this point, if we lose this game, the momentum is all on their side, and they take 3 out of 4, maybe all 4. -

How is it that Monroe is even hitting as well as he does, he can only hit one ball, inside and up. Thats the only thing he can hit. -

I hate Guillen. -
There is no way the kid is 13. Is there a more blatent violation of the rules than this kid?

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Aug 21, 2006 -> 11:40 AM) Nick Punto wasn't even a major league caliber player up until this year, he's finally producing at the age of 28, there's a reason why the Phillies gave up on the guy and dealt him to Minny to begin with. IMO he is a flash in the pan.
-
QUOTE(CYGarland @ Aug 21, 2006 -> 01:12 AM) Exactly. Winning 1 of 3 in Minnesota is not good enough, we should have won on Friday, but The offense laid an egg against Boof. We suck in the dome, and against Santana and Radke. Im happy we beat Radke, but we should have taken Boof.
-
My guess would be fields, sweeney, stewart and Tracey.

Freddy was outpitched by Boof, thats the story of the game. When the offense sputters, you have to pitch. He didnt. -
QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Aug 18, 2006 -> 09:29 PM) Walking anyone to get to Morneau? With a pitcher who is better against righties? When Morneau is better against lefties than he is against righties? All of this with two outs, so no need to set up a double play? wow This deserves its own topic. Well Cotts made the pitch. Unlucky that he fisted it in the only hole in that area. It happens. It was a decent move IMO.

QUOTE(kwolf68 @ Aug 18, 2006 -> 10:23 AM) I would only be in favor of Sweeney/Fields/Anderson if we had a legit leadoff hitter coming from somewhere else (Short-stop). Sweeney is likely a 3-hitter, Fields a 5 or 6, and Anderson will probably always hit toward the end of the order. But I can see a situation where Crede becomes our third hitter backed by PK and DH (RF-Dye)....Still, I would want a legitimate rabbit leading off, maybe it'd be SS with Iguchi/Getz hitting 2nd. Thing is, I don't believe we have much of a minor league at this point...Only Sweeney/Fields/Getz look like major league position players at this point and even they have questions (Sweeney limited power for a corner OF? Fields Ks a lot? Getz average is down a bit right now)...We don't have our version of Howie Kendrick in other words. I actually like sweeney at #2 for some reason. Fields looks like a #5 and BA may bat 6 7 or 8 for the rest of his career. At that point you gotta think Gooch may be gone, as well as Uribe. So its possible we get that piece in FA.

QUOTE(That funky motion @ Aug 18, 2006 -> 10:26 AM) I love the MB love on this board. I have not even see a glimmer of hope with him. At least Freddy and Javy have had a good start here and there. MB's is a better pitcher in so many ways than both of them its stupid to even compare.
