QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Jul 28, 2006 -> 03:18 PM) Just because Rock likes him some severely retarded broads doesn't mean that all Sox fans do. You love it.

This team is still dead, it took a miracle by Gload to win it. Im still not convinced.

QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jul 28, 2006 -> 07:40 PM) I'll ask again since nobody answered before. If we get crushed this weekend, would you be angry at KW for having a white flag trade? As long as its members of the rotation. I dont think you can trade anyone else really. -

Anyone care to debate that this team is defeated? -

Chemistry is a thing of the past. Look at how low these guys are. They play with no confidence. Someone needs to shove the World Series Trophy up their asses to remind them that they are better than every team out there. -

If anyone thinks this team is going to turn it around, its time for you to stop thinking that way. They are defeated. You can see it on their faces, and in their play. 2 errors, sloppy play, lazy at bats, lazy pitching, lazy throws. They absolutley are done. -
QUOTE(Hurons @ Jul 28, 2006 -> 01:41 PM) I was making reference to your Avatar..... And I was making reference to your stay here. It looks to be brief.

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jul 28, 2006 -> 12:16 PM) The best player they got (Cordero) is going to get 5 million next year if they want him. Thats a lot of money for the Brewers to pay for a reliever. Turnbow had a funk but he's still pretty solid and they have a nice 8/9 inning combo there but I think they could have done much better. 7, 8, 9 has just been somewhat locked down. Cordero is better than Turnbow IMO. I think the Rangers paid a pretty steep price for a CLEE rental.

And I have been there all week. There is a general fear amonst the pop.

QUOTE(GreatScott82 @ Jul 28, 2006 -> 12:39 PM) Soriano will be a Tiger or a Yankee. Hopefully a Tiger as we have a MUCH greater chance at the wildcard spot than we do of catching Detroit for the division. I think he will go to Detroit because they have much more to offer Washington than New York does. I honestly dont know if he will be traded at all. Detroit will not give up Sanchez, and he also wouldnt be the only piece of the puzzle as the players Bowden was asking from LAA were much higher quality at this point. If I was Washington, I could make Zumaya a cornerstone of any deal.

QUOTE(Hurons @ Jul 28, 2006 -> 09:14 AM) You all want to harp on the Tigers because of their record vs. winning teams....that’s fine. However, if you are going to do that, I will show you a stat that is much more indicative of their success: Tigers road record 35-16 Next best road record in the majors: NY Mets 30-20 NY Yanks 28-22 Central Road records: Tigers 35-16 Pale Hoe's 25-22 Twinkies 22-30 Why come on here and say spiff like this? Pale Hoe's? Hopefully you arent too tied to being able to post here anymore.

QUOTE(Steff @ Jul 28, 2006 -> 10:03 AM) You need actual ticketmaster looking tickets. We saw several folks get turned away last night. Not good. It really is unreal, especially for people who have been ticket holders for awhile. Sometimes I wonder who keeps track of these things. They need to either hire more people, or have someone who care actually do this job.
-
spiff, I would take him. He will be a stud.
-
QUOTE(champ @ Jul 28, 2006 -> 10:44 AM) Put all those guys in the NL Central, and you've got 3 very good players. And CLEE was leaving for nothing at the end of the season.
-
wow, good deal for the Brew Crew.
-
Check this spiff out. I RSVP'ed before the date, and now they have no record of it. I was expecting the tickets in the mail this week, and since I didnt get them I called. Now they tell me tough spiff.

Heres a suggestion for our lineup. Not letting our pitchers give up 7 runs each game.
-
we are f***ed. It isnt the players, its the way they are playing. We have the best lineup in the AL, and yet are getting killed. The attitude, and chemistry fishing blow. we arent making the playoffs.
-
QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 25, 2006 -> 04:12 PM) It's too bad we don't have any real "toolsy" outfielders in our system, as everyone knows Bowden loves those type of guys. Chris Young would have been the major part in this deal, and it could have been done by now. But instead, we have Vaz.
-
I see the Tigers giving up more than they wanted to for Soriano. I think its pretty obvious KW wasnt serious about aquiring him.
-
QUOTE(ZoomSlowik @ Jul 25, 2006 -> 12:18 AM) That's Japan, not the majors. There's a major difference, the league is somewhere between AAA and the majors in terms of quality. He probably the 2nd most complete hitter on the team. I would say that he has enjoyed similar success.
-
Fields and Broadway is a small price to pay. If that is the deal, you fishing trade your prospects for a proven player.
-
QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Jul 24, 2006 -> 10:10 PM) I want want want Vazquez flipped with McCarthy. That'd go a longer way to solving our problems than anything else I can think of. Yeah, it would be. Vaz would be pretty good in the pen, and BMAC is an improvement for the rotation. BMAC Garland and the Count can carry a team for a while if neccessary.
-
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 24, 2006 -> 09:05 PM) I don't know if this is going to go through or not but after tonight's game, I know KW is going to do something substantial to shake up this team. That would be moving BMAC into the rotation. It has to be. McD just took his spot.
