Crede is pretty close to untouchable. He is roughly in the top 3 3B in the AL. It would take at least 2 top prospects, and a major league player.

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ May 25, 2006 -> 10:49 PM) Gracias fellas....its insanely weird right now. I can not wait to sleep in and than play speed golf on Sunday with some buddies (instead of walking). Than Vegas on Thursday Advice from a graduate: Stay in school as long as you can.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 25, 2006 -> 05:06 PM) I don't know about that one Lee might be better than Bonderman but no way Westbrook is. Also Verlander is probably better than Westbrook too but he's only a rookie so you just don't know how he'll hold up over the long haul of the season. Why does everyone knob Bonderman? Why is he so great that his ERA doesnt show it?

QUOTE(JackTalkThai @ May 25, 2006 -> 04:52 PM) I'm guessing probably the same thing that you're you going to do if they don't. This Tiger team is a lot better than you seem to be giving them credit for. No problem though, the masses were doubting the ChiSox last season, pretty much all season...just waiting for them to collapse and drop back to reality. It never happened though. Yes, comparing a team that had been steadily in 2nd/1st place for many years vs a team that has been in the crapper for the good part of this decade. Good comparison. -

QUOTE(tigerfan @ May 25, 2006 -> 04:38 PM) Wow, our announcers just said the the 84 Tigers were the only Tiger team in 70 years to win 13 of 14, and now this 06 team is about to become the second. Unreal stuff. What are you going to do when you go under .500 in June? -

QUOTE(Dick Allen @ May 25, 2006 -> 04:23 PM) They are winning games they are supposed to win, and winning a few they probably should lose. Almost a third of the way through the schedule they have the best record in baseball. I think they have a pretty talented starting rotation. Why does everyone keep saying that? Maroth has pitched so far over his head its ridiculous, today was more accurate to how great he is. Bonderman (the Ace) has a 4.57 ERA and is a career 4.94 ERA pitcher, 2 of his wins were against KC. Rogers fades in the 2nd half like clockwork. The rest of their rotation is garbage, Robertson career ERA 4.70 1.42 WHIP, Verlander is a rookie, you really think he is going to give you 200 innings of sub 3 ERA ball? -

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 25, 2006 -> 04:14 PM) They're a good team. They're not this good but they're better then the 03 Royals who everyone keeps comparing them to. They're not going to win this division but they're gonig to hang around for a while. 05 Orioles. Out of their mind pitching off the bat, coming back to earth second half. -

QUOTE(Dick Allen @ May 25, 2006 -> 04:04 PM) The Tigers are a good team. If you're looking for them to fall apart, you may be waiting for a while. I think this is their 8th or 9th game against KC this year. I think the White Sox have also played KC 8 or 9 times. Vazquez has 3 starts against them, otherwise his numbers are pretty average. What makes you think they are a good team? The fact that their pitching staff is playing way over their heads? Or the fact that the only decent team they have played, swept them. -

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 25, 2006 -> 03:59 PM) Except us and the Indians. We will crush them the rest of the season, we all know that. These tigers =2003 royals. You cant get by on your opponents being this s***ty for the rest of the season. -
QUOTE(JimH @ May 25, 2006 -> 03:59 PM) Yes, Kevin's Hamburger Heaven, just east of Ashland on 35th. Goood call on that one. Looove that place. Especially the Red Gold Ketchup they use. I literally ate there every day for a year.

QUOTE(fathom @ May 25, 2006 -> 03:56 PM) I know it's against the Royals, but I've been impressed with the Tigers mentality all year. You can tell that they expect to win, and Leyland's done a great job changing that environment. Its pretty hard not to expect to win against the Royals. Everybody beats the Royals. -
QUOTE(jenksd @ May 25, 2006 -> 03:39 PM) It's alright, ain't no one finding that s*** without directions. they better not, its located in by far the best value stand in the park. Jim, I liked your review, however I must add one additional place. Ashland and 35th there is a hamburger heaven that is absolutley awesome. When I worked at the wrigley plant, I used to eat there every day. Also open 24hrs.

QUOTE(kyyle23 @ May 25, 2006 -> 03:31 PM) Man, they do not fair well against good pitchers whatsoever. Thats alot of Ks Their offense isnt that great, they dont score alot of runs. Its their pitching and running into cold offensive teams that has given them a streak. Their last 12 wins have come with the opposition scoring 3,4,0, 2, 4, 0,3, 6, 0, 0, 5, 3 -

QUOTE(kyyle23 @ May 25, 2006 -> 03:17 PM) LOL! I was trying to say that maybe they didnt beat Sabathia, Santana and Harang, instead maybe they jumped on the bullpens. Supporting your theory that the Tigers arent good facing decent pitchers. b**** I know it. Heres the stats from those losing pitchers A Harang 8 IP 5H 1 ER 9k's Santana 8 IP 4H 2ER 12k's Sabathia 8IP 6H 2ER 10k's -

Heres a trivia question, how many pitchers have the tigers faced this year with ERA's under 4? And how many of those were victories? -

Ozzie: Mack going to start more games in CF

How is this thread still going? Mack is starting against tough RHP, same as was said in ST. -
QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ May 25, 2006 -> 08:23 AM) I agree with the fan etiquette thoughts in here, however that's turned into a terrible problem at ALL parks, so I don't want to pick on our fans. And great to see Steff and some other people still care about this subject, I went to a game earlier this year and my 4 year old little brother already knows about this subject, somebody was standing in front of us during the game and he said to me "he's not supposed to be standing right now, you should go beat him up". Good times. I correct people quite loudly, I find that embarrasment works wonders the next time they feel they should get up during a pitch.

How have they not fired the hitting coach yet? s*** even Walker was on the block 2 years ago, when we were struggling.
