  1. QUOTE(Steff @ May 22, 2006 -> 10:55 AM) Thome didn't throw one on Saturday either. You have some bulls*** sissy words for him also...? Crede was bit late to the party also. Damn sissies. :rolly I saw Crede take a swing, but he got a little out in front of hit and popped it up.
  2. In another note, the bullpen didnt really contribute much in the fray. Logan is the only one I see really in the mix.
  3. We won the series, how much more second guessing can happen, jesus.
  4. QUOTE(MayIHelpYouMrLennon? @ May 21, 2006 -> 03:51 PM) Discuss. I'd be willing to ship out Garland or McCarthy for some decent BP arms. Cotts and Politte arent what they were last year.. all we really have is Jenks. Nice, know your white sox team, Garland has a no trade clause. Thanks for playing.
  5. QUOTE(Jimbo @ May 18, 2006 -> 04:19 PM) Neifi Perez goes for a bunt with 2 outs in the 9th......what the f***?? Great fundamental baseball there, maybe Jones should have tried to steal 2nd base instead?
  6. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ May 18, 2006 -> 03:22 PM) Totally killed a Cubs rally by grounding into a weak double play. Oh, and he's hitting like .225 with an obp well below .300. Pretty obvious decline in production to the rest of the league, to the cubs fans, the next coming.
  7. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ May 18, 2006 -> 03:12 PM) Good lord Pierre is terrible. y?
  8. QUOTE(Jimbo @ May 18, 2006 -> 02:52 PM) That includes 3 against the pitcher and damian jackson, who also took him deep. f***ing national league. Who lets the pitcher hit anyway?
  9. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ May 18, 2006 -> 01:49 PM) Right on. And like I said before, their bullpen has impressed me moreso than their raw starting staff (w/ the exception of Rogers). Fernando Rodney (1.59 ERA, 0.94 WHIP, .136 BAA) Joel Zumaya (2.45 ERA, 0.98 WHIP, .180 AVG) Jamie Walker (1.04 ERA, 0.81 WHIP, .212 BAA) Bobby Seay (3.38 ERA, 0.88 WHIP, .120 BAA) Jordan Tata (3.86 ERA, 1.14 WHIP, .180 BAA) Those BAA numbers are sick. You are looking at their team strength. I'm not saying that Seay and Tata are going to keep this up, but they've been pretty damn effective thus far. Todd Jones has s***ty numbers (3.65 ERA, 1.45 WHIP, .313 BAA), but he has converted 11 of his 12 save opportunities. I agree with you there, but mostly I agree with the WHIP argument that was presented before. With a WHIP as high as many of their guys, their ERA cant possibly keep it up with a low k rate. IM not worried about them....yet
  10. Hey, I live on the west side biatch. Interesting fact from that interview yesterday, Art has caught 2 no hitters.
  11. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ May 18, 2006 -> 11:34 AM) Before the game yesterday, they interviewed Coop and there was an older guy sitting next to him. Does anyone know who that was? I didn't really pay attention to it, so I only so it in passing. that was big Art I believe.
  12. QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ May 18, 2006 -> 11:45 AM) How about cheering for them to bring back the 1908 beer prices. Now that is something to cheer for. And concubines.
  13. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ May 18, 2006 -> 11:26 AM) His player days stories are funny, because you and I both know that he wasnt this cool cat he makes himself out to be in all of these stories Apparently everything possible in baseball happened to him. So Ed, have you ever hit a broken bat homerun? Yes, the problem with that was, my bat head always went farther than the ball.
  14. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ May 18, 2006 -> 11:11 AM) I dont know. Maybe he feels rushed now because he isnt the color guy, and he realized that PBP is his job now and he doesnt have time to run through his endless, never-get-to-the-point stories if he talks so slow through PBP. His only choice is to rush it and talk loud so he can continue with his stories. I just dont like when farmer talks about his playing experiences. He was never that great of a player, yet he makes it seem like he was sweet.
  15. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ May 18, 2006 -> 11:12 AM) Yeah, but a lot of them scalp their tickets to big games to somewhat alleviate the brunt of the cost, but I see your point. Well, i had to give up my tickets, but I gave them to die hard fans. I would say the crowd will be extremely white sox friendly.
  16. Where the f is prior BTW. Its pretty sad that a pitcher who had shoulder surgery is back before someone who had "some discomfort"
  17. I would say we will outnumber cubs fans at our place in a much bigger ratio than in previous years. The whole lower bowl is almost all season ticket holders.

  19. wow to some of the viewpoints in this thread.
  20. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ May 18, 2006 -> 08:31 AM) tell me that these are available on cnn.com again. I didnt see it last night because I was watching the game yeah they are, I missed it as well.
  21. QUOTE(Steff @ May 18, 2006 -> 09:40 AM) Ligue is an idiot asshole, who I would bet high wouldn't know the meaning of "1908" anyway... it was the childish behavior I was referring to. Agreed, is it eagle feeding time yet?
  22. QUOTE(keninem @ May 18, 2006 -> 08:46 AM) Great article, but I don't think I'd call the NL central "average". Will below average work for you? The NL is weak overall, and the NL central is the middle division in it.
  23. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ May 17, 2006 -> 09:08 PM) I don't even mind him. It's Farmer I can't stand. Singelton's PBP still sucks ass, but he does add some better color these days. The only problem I have is that sometimes Singelton will make a great point, or begin a good story and Farmer will totally discredit Chris's POV or story all together.
  24. I wouldnt mind getting rid of walker, but Cora and Coop have to stay. Also it appears that Baines may go get a chance to manage somewhere or move to a place where he has a chance for more responsibility. He would make a good hitting coach somewhere. IM almost positive Art will be back. Oh, and I had no idea that Cora made up the ST program.
