A Bit too much bullpen shuffling.

QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ May 10, 2006 -> 09:33 PM) ^^^^^^ He should have f***ing started tonight! He is dealing. Looks pretty f-in good. Thats the difference between BMAC and the other SP's we bring up, Munoz, Diaz, Haeger. BMAC dealt his first time up, and then went down and dominated, then came up and dominated. He is the real deal.
-
Oh, and it may not count for anything, but I did have a feeling BA was gonna have a nice game tonight.
-
BMAC better be starting on monday.
-
well, so much for the sweep, im out.

QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ May 10, 2006 -> 08:23 PM) Is he performing about as expected for anyone else, or is it just me? This is what I saw out of him in ST, so I figured it was going to happen again. Hes just not ready.
-
I still have a feeling we will pull this one out.

QUOTE(qwerty @ May 10, 2006 -> 07:51 PM) Can someone admit it was lack of control and not getting squeezed that got him into this trouble? I know i am not the only one that realizes a ball at the letters in not a strike... yet everyone has said otherwise today. The ump missed maybe 3 pitches. But thats it. The guy needs to put it down the middle.

QUOTE(Dick Allen @ May 10, 2006 -> 04:01 PM) Obviously the catcher is important. It will be interesting to see how AJ handles it. If one gets by him every at bat, I would agree that the Sox probably wouldn't want to throw Haeger in a tight game with a man or 2 or 3 on. If he's as effective as he's been in Charlotte, or close to it, if he at least starts an inning, not many are going to get on. The Sox have a couple pitchers who can't hold guys on in Conteras and Garcia. I also think those 2 finished first and second in wild pitches last season. Haeger is just like any other rookie, he's going to have to prove he can get major league hitters out. Watching the last few the Sox have trotted out from Charlotte, the odds seem to favor him getting lit up, but if he's lights out, they probably should keep him on the roster. After watching him, would you like him coming out of the pen with men on? I sure as s*** wouldnt.

QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ May 10, 2006 -> 07:50 PM) Another White Sox pitching prospect wets itself. I'm really tired of watching this. This is the part where he's demoted, and never regains the numbers he had before being called up. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

QUOTE(fathom @ May 10, 2006 -> 07:49 PM) Yep, you have to love 8 base runners and 6 outs so far. Well, just waiting for balls and walks was the way to go against him tonight. When in the zone, he hasnt been hit that hard.
-
Later Haeger, its been fun.

QUOTE(TitoMB345 @ May 10, 2006 -> 07:36 PM) He looks good, getting the calls and hitting all the spots. He will make a mistake. Last time we beat him it took us until the 3rd inning to get to him. It will happen.

QUOTE(fathom @ May 10, 2006 -> 07:34 PM) It almost reminds me of the cheesy knucklers you see in a video game. totally. I bet its tough to see.
-
QUOTE(fathom @ May 10, 2006 -> 07:28 PM) Wakefield's is more vertical break, and Haeger's seems to be going horizontally. agreed, I think its his somewhat 3/4 delivery. It almost stops and then tumbles before the plate. Weird.
-
His knuckler is so much different than Wakefields.
-
Oh boy. This is gonne get ugly quick. The Angels just arent going to swing.

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ May 10, 2006 -> 03:09 PM) HOLY CRAP! I'm waaaaay otta touch. I'm paying like $285.00 a year, my gym is nice, but it's like 25 mins. from home. By the time I get home, change, get in the car, make the drive, I'm just not feelin' it any more. I'm looking for something dowtown that I can walk to right after work. I guess I'll have to bend over. Mine is on the low side of cost as well. Some in LIncoln Park cost around 125 a month!!!

QUOTE(Dick Allen @ May 10, 2006 -> 03:34 PM) Hoyt Wilhelm was pretty good out of the bullpen. Its also how Wilbur Wood started out, and Tim Wakefield has made numerous appearances out of the bullpen, and I believe was a closer at one point. I really don't see where there much room for him on the staff, unless its for a guy like Logan, once Contreras gets back, but if he does well enough, he be a great candidate to trade if a need arises. In my view, the walks, steals and past balls are enough to make me not want to bring in a knuckleballer with runners on the bases.

Dude, I have had Bally for 3 years now, and that place seriously is the worst gym i have ever been to. I joined it because I wanted to save money on a gym. Now I just joined WAC in the west loop and I think it is one of the more top notch gyms out there. I pay 60 a month. And I love the place.
-
I dont think he does. As I said before, I do not think Knuckleballers are good our of the pen, and we really dont need another SP if JC comes back.

QUOTE(qwerty @ May 10, 2006 -> 02:42 PM) Sox have not lost with that line-up once this season... jinx
-
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 10, 2006 -> 02:02 PM) So...did it work? looks good. Lets pull the trigger.
-
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 10, 2006 -> 01:44 PM) And make one of them our loogy? Hold on, let me see if that will work, first I will try to complete the trade......
-
Lets just trade Fields for Barry Zito or Dontrelle.
