QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ May 1, 2006 -> 03:41 PM) If someone went down and we needed one start, I could almost see us giving Haeger that start as opposed to McCarthy (especially if its later in the year and McCarthy had just pitched). Haeger probably won't ever be a mainstay in our rotation, however, he provides very nice depth of the club and could very well be a player other teams target at the trade deadline (even though a Knuckleballer rarely is considered a top prospect, however, the way Haeger is throwing he needs to be considered just that in our system). Read my post more closely. There is no way we would bring him up for middle relief. A knuckler basically cant pitch in relief due to the walks and the passed balls. If he came in with runners on base, there is a large chance they will score.

QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ May 5, 2006 -> 01:51 AM) Yeah I mean look at the bosox situation and it tells you everything... If Widger was catching Haeger it would be murder. Haeger's knuckler dances a ton when its on. Unless you have major experience catching it, you should have around 1-2 passed balls a game.

D Lee is that good. But with him gone, its almost like Dusty just wants to stay afloat. They play in a s***ty league, the sox bench team could go .500 over a month in that league with that sched.
-
I dont know about him being a wuss, but he was downright pathetic the last 2 games of this series. Kinda sucks when you can pick up a nobody like Malik Allen, and he contributes more to your team than a top draft pick with a long term contract.

You dont even have to go as far north as 28th. Just follow 33rd a little west of the stadium and there are free street parking places everywhere.

QUOTE(GoRowand33 @ May 4, 2006 -> 09:43 PM) alright you guys aren't seeing my point yes the averages are good, the wins are coming in and I'm glad to see that but its how were winning that I'm concerned with besides last night I havn't seen many games where we scratch out a game by a single-sac bunt-single or anything like that its all about going for the homeruns that I've seen I think thats good as long as it works, but I don't think that provides long-term promise ??????? What are you talking about man, you just saw a game where we relied on a single, a stolen base and a flare. Just two days ago!! Its not like it was the first time all season. Find something else to nitpick, because this issue isnt working for you.

QUOTE(whitesox1976 @ May 4, 2006 -> 06:35 PM) Don't worry about it, no need for any one to apologize. Soxtalk is already the best White Sox board on the internet. soxtalk.net is better. -
QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ May 2, 2006 -> 07:56 PM) Buy a car that has been leased and turned back in. Allow someone else to take the depreciation hit. Find a nice car, with 30,000 - 40,000 miles on it and you can get a better car than you would buy knew. I bought a 3yr old Lexus ES300 with 42k miles with an extended warranty to 100k miles for the same as what my ex-girlfriend paid for a new 2-door Accord LX. Be patient and find the right deal and you can get more for your money that way. Thats what I was thinking. Im looking for a second car, more like a summer car type thing. And I was looking at some lease deals, and they looked pretty good.

QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ May 2, 2006 -> 04:07 PM) Heads watch how a lot of pitchers pitch the sox. I state this in chat all the time, they just setup low and away against us. It seems that this is the scouting report on the sox right handers. Just setup low and away. The minute you get to 2 strikes, try the slider away or in the dirt. Its funny because a pitcher who can hit the low and away spot will silence our right handers. I would say this was the case in previous years. But one of the reasons that our players are hitting so well right now, Kong, Crede, is because they have adjusted to that game plan. They are hitting the ball to all fields. It takes time folks. Im not that worried about Anderson to tell you the truth. I see the talent there, he will adjust.

Seriously, how many teams pitch their Ace 3rd in the rotation. -
QUOTE(DBAH0 @ May 2, 2006 -> 01:20 PM) I'd still prefer Gload be replaced with an OF (trade for someone like Corey Hart), Why not Corey Feldman?
-
Im surprised Howry isnt on there.
-
Oh and the chicks that AJ and his friend hook up with were pretty nice looking.
-
QUOTE(SoxPride56 @ May 2, 2006 -> 12:40 PM) Maybe Nelson takes the spot of Gload? Could be. With all of our bench guys playing except him today. I know he is a lefty, but its a bit suspicious.

QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ May 2, 2006 -> 12:18 PM) We won the division last year because we attacked our division. Our sunday lineups were for other teams. We changed our rotation middle of the season so the top of our rotation would face our division more. We were not resting 3 and 4 starters against the Indians and the Twins last year. Seriously, its better to rest our guys today, then attack two weak teams for the next 6 games. -

QUOTE(winninguglyin83 @ May 2, 2006 -> 12:09 PM) ball game. let logan and Thornton finish it out. maybe it will start raining harder. And then go find a center fielder. Is Randy Winn available? Maybe San Diego would dump Cameron's salary. Padres are not going to contend. hope for a Royals win over the Tigers and come home and repay the Mariners. Whats wrong with our CF'er? -

You have to think if we had our regular lineup in, we would have scored some of those runs. -
