  1. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 02:47 PM) I love em. I'm actually able to be home to watch these. No Farmer & Singleton at 5:00. just the mention of farmer and singleton makes vomit rise in my throat.
  2. QUOTE(SnB @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 02:53 PM) why did the geico gecko get an english accent all of a sudden? Madonna syndrome.
  3. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 02:02 PM) I'm sure this makes me a bad fan, but if the Sox lose on a particular day, the frustration is definitely lessened if the Cubs lose also that day (unless they're already eliminated from playoff contention). I know a lot of people say that Sox fans shouldn't care about the Cubs now that we've won it all. While I agree with this to an extent, I also know that I would really hate to have to deal with the pomp and circumstance if the Cubs won the World Series. That would be a big blow to the momentum we've gained. I think the exact same way.

QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 12:33 PM) You guarantee? All these stories going around have to deal with XM. They made a major mistake in letting Stern get away...now they have commercials on some of their music channels....Clear Channel is involved with them....and now they are allowing CBS to air one of their shows over their airwaves...so now they are dropping some of their 'exclusive' content. If I had XM, I would be out the door. They are starting to have to much to do with regular radio. Join the Revoluation. f*** XM. Stern is worthless. I do not find his show enjoyable at all, and it wouldnt influence me to join any such company. I chose XM based on its stability and stock prices initially, and the MLB and big ten programming. I love my xm.
  5. QUOTE(Beltin'Bill @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 01:13 PM) Nothing at all...as long as you are cheering for whoever is playing the Cubs that night. I cheer for whoever they play obviously, but I just enjoy watching baseball. My mlb package on cable is awesome for late night west coast games. I love it.
  6. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 01:16 PM) Does JV not work well with Widger? I thought those 2 worked together in Montreal. Meuh. I personally think that Widger calls a s***ty game, and I think that Javy has so many different pitches, that Widger cuts down the game plan too much and it makes Javy more predictable.
  7. As long as AJ catches tonight, I feel pretty good about our chances.
  8. I watch both games when they are on. What is wrong with that?

Both companies are doing the same thing, its called competition. I will never leave XM, but I will tell them I will many times. I do this with cell phone companies constantly.
  10. I used to sell HP, sony, COmpaq and IBM. IBM laptops are top notch, the rest of the brands were crap. I own 4 Dells now, and i love them all. I also used to own Macs, loved them, but not being able to find compatible software for it all the time was annoying.
  11. QUOTE(Iwritecode @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 11:16 AM) I think I've only witnessed three wins in person. Twice against the Twins and once against the Cubs. Every other game I've been to they've lost. I guess it's good that I'm only planning on going to 2-3 more games this year... maybe you need to get your tickets elsewhere.

seriously, the ACT and SAT are easy. You will have no problem, its all about confidence and making quick decisions.
  13. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 09:48 AM) I woke my Dad up because I started cheering. He woke up and was like "WHO HIT THE HOMERUN? Really?" lol Hahaha, I was alone but im sure someone on Madison heard me screaming. I somehow knew something good was coming out of that at-bat. Otherwise I would have shut it off pissed like usual.

My good friend from college won that family edition. It was the only time I watched the show. Its pretty good.
  15. I want to reiterrate how awesome BA's homerun was last night. I know I wasnt the only one who jumped up and cheered.
  16. If anything this game should show you how difficult it is to beat us. We had to trot in our sunday lineup, go into extra innings, and they had to rely on a guy with 2 hr's to tie us in the 8th. Alot of things had to be done to get us to lose a close ball game. That should show how damn good this team really is.
  17. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Apr 24, 2006 -> 02:48 PM) Wow, really sticking your neck out there Rock, Hahaha, trying to take a chance. The guy is toast. He shoulda gone under the knife so he missed minimal time. His fault. He got his ring.
  18. nice, an addy game thread.
  19. QUOTE(LeroySettle @ Apr 24, 2006 -> 02:46 PM) Whatever "rockraines", that picture was taken in Cliff's basement at his house on Eddy and Southport. And he did forward a work out program to Brian, have to focus on the stabilizing muscles with core strength movements like deadlifts and squats. If you want the workout PM me. Anderson is gonna be just fine, he is just a little fast with his swing right now. Same thing happened to me before. We dont need him to hit, just play good defense. Any offense from him is bonus. Kenny Williams agrees with this, talked to him last week at La Scarola (Best Italian food in the city) where he was eating with Ozzie... Leroy, your choice in food is about as good as your humor. As much as I enjoyed Kelly Mondelli's and the Mondelli family in general, it is not near the best in the city. In fact any place with all entree's less than 15 bucks wouldnt be in the same breath as the word "best." Go back to the hole you crawled out of, even with your NJguido pics, and your wanna be hilarious attempts, you are nothing more than a rookie. -your idol.
  20. There are alot of landmarks left off of that list, but out of those 3 Wrigley Field is a pretty obvious choice IMO.
  21. Mark my words: Hes done.
  22. It seems like alot of people who just starting watching baseball think that a stretch of games signafies how a team really will play over an entire season. This is why baseball is the greatest sport there is. Over 162 games it is almost impossible for a bad team to keep up a hot streak, and good teams will always go cold. This time last year was about when we went on our longest losing streak to date. We will get hot like we are now, and we will get cold as well. It is entirely too early to predict that we will be one of the winningest teams around. In fact, it is somewhat ignorant and rookie-like to do so IMO.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 18, 2006 -> 06:00 AM) So Vito... does he end up clipped or flipped? Flipped to the FBI? Or flipped like valentines day in prison?
  24. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Apr 22, 2006 -> 11:21 PM) Wrigley still looks like a POS ruin though. Soldier Field looks like a grounded spaceship now. There are few other football stadiums that give you such great views of the action.
  25. How can you miss a player who sucks? Thats like saying I miss D'Angelo, I miss Joe Borchard. Olivo sucks, it hurt us more to dump morse and Reed.
