QUOTE(LeroySettle @ Apr 24, 2006 -> 06:53 AM) His first hit was completely accidental. The funny thing is with all this anti Anderson talk, his april batting average isnt that worse from what Rowands was last year. I'll take Thome over Rowand any day and deal with Anderson in CF. Anderson just needs to run into some walls when he makes catches and hit right around .250. And maybe not leave everyone on base when he gets up! Lifting some weights wouldnt hurt him either . My buddy Cliff knows Herm Schnieder (through the orthopod's at Rush that do the surgery's for the White Sox), I'll see if he can pass on some weight lifting tips to anderson. Your first two posts were funny, but now the type a useless paragraph followed by a google image has run its course. Sorry.

Oh, and trade them Ross GLoad please, thanks

This really sucks, Lee is a great talent, and a good guy, it really was his fault though, what was he doing standing BEHIND first base? RIght when I saw it I said it was a break. Its almost like the non-wristguard injury that was common for rollerbladers when that was popular. I feel sorry for the guy, but s*** happens, and im sure cubs fans will now focus their attention on hating the sox instead of loving their team.

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Apr 20, 2006 -> 01:19 PM) I was at the Friday game and downstairs, so I had a decent view of it all. Vasquez was looking pretty good considering who he was pitching against the first 4 innings other than a walk and a homer by Hillenbrand, and then all of a sudden he couldn't get anybody out and everything was being hit hard. The fact that his struggles hit so fast and came out of nowhere at a time where he wouldn't be tired yet is what makes me tend to believe Toronto might have picked up on something with him tipping his pitches. As for where did I hear this, Coop and Ozzie were both talking about it the other day. He may have been tipping his pitches, but Widger was calling a horrible predictable game.

QUOTE(YASNY @ Apr 21, 2006 -> 01:58 AM) You should know by now that the use of logic doesn't fly around here. Not with Jeckle thats for sure.

I love that this thread is still going. Heres an idea, deal Gload to the cubs for Scott Williamson.

QUOTE(Jeckle2000 @ Apr 20, 2006 -> 02:35 PM) I wish we'd of traded him for Juan Cruz when we had the chance... At least find a decent CF somewhere... hahaha, i love your posts. Give a player 10 games, if he isnt batting 300 he isnt worth a damn. Can someone please tell me why this is the best idea for player development ever. I mean I bet the dodgers and Reds are glad they treated Konerko like that. BA plays great defense, thats really all that matters right now, at the end of the season, you will eat your words......again.

Anderson not first to get off so slowly

Wow, if any outsider came and read this thread, they would think Rowand is the best player since Babe Ruth. The guy is flat out brutal at the plate. He is good in the field, but so is Anderson. The guy just got called up, give him some time, he will produce, he has at every level. -
QUOTE(LVSoxFan @ Apr 17, 2006 -> 12:05 PM) Then again, JR is notoriously corporate and about appearance. A woman I know who used to work there talked about how strict the dress code was. I've heard the exact opposite.

QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Apr 17, 2006 -> 01:01 PM) Lets not get crazy here. Anderson is not worth a s*** load more than Rowand, perhaps over time Anderson will be better. But as of today Rowand > Anderson. Anderson may have more potential, but Rowand is better right now. Anderson is worth more than Rowand. Sorry bout it. #1 prospect, who produced at a MUCH higher level in the minor leagues than Rowand, projects not only to be better on offense, but also on defense, is younger, quicker, higher ceiling. Rowand is a nice guy, and he plays hard, but Anderson is worth much more. And if you want to say, well, blahblahblah, his stats right now are better, blah, blah blah. Chris fricking Shelton is leading the league in batting, that shows you how much the first couple of weeks project over a season. -
God, you are right. I mean, how could Briggs even be second on the team in tackles, man is he worthless. Misplaced sox=crazyman7

QUOTE(Jeckle2000 @ Apr 16, 2006 -> 06:25 PM) It's a shame the Phillies wouldn't of been stupid enough to take Anderson in place of AROW... who's hitting over .300 right now the last time I checked... .326 now that I look at it... Anderson is worth a s***load more than ROwand, thats why the SOX didnt do it. Im glad our management doesnt include you. -
QUOTE(Jeckle2000 @ Apr 16, 2006 -> 07:27 PM) We do need to get a CF... Mack has no business playing as often as he has and if Anderson can't hack it we need someone who can play everyday... Anderson cant hack it huh? Laughable. Way to totally ignore any sample size, talent, and every bit of baseball information that is out there. COngrats.

QUOTE(Jeckle2000 @ Apr 16, 2006 -> 10:04 PM) Why can't he? He can go play wherever the heck he's told to play... If Soranio can play LF then Cintron can play CF... Then we can send down Anderson for a new backup infielder... hahahahaha I had a nice laugh there.

I thought that Widger called a s***ty game IMO. I thought that the Jays caught on to alot of his sequences, and he never adapted to each hitter.

QUOTE(Controlled Chaos @ Apr 14, 2006 -> 11:47 AM) Didn't he do the AL Division series? He might have, I watched the D-backs colorado game two nights ago, and he does a real nice job staying on the action and giving neutral opinions on players of both teams. He really would be great on the radio IMO.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 14, 2006 -> 10:24 AM) Liriano was never even drafted, so there's no real comparison when it comes to that. You could compare top pitching prospects to top pitching prospects which would arguably be Broadway, Liriano, Verlander, Sowers/Miller and Luis Cota I guess. Well BMAC was just about as unheralded when picked up, so thats why I was making comparison's.

QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Apr 14, 2006 -> 09:25 AM) Good Friday obviously has a different religious effect on different types of people. One of our esteemed Vice Presidents has been trolling porn sites since 7am this morning. Not too smart. Then again maybe he is just paying homage to Gods creation known as the 18-22 year old naked female. I would be reading his email for sure.

QUOTE(Beastly @ Apr 14, 2006 -> 09:39 AM) No way. I'm hearing that Sweeney is struggling at AAA and that he's trying to find his swing that he had at AA Birmingham, so he doesn't deserve to be up here just to suck. And Owens, no friggin way, thank you... I swear some people just hear names of players, and forget that there has to be performance merit for a promotion. Just throw out names of top prospects, they are all ready arent they?

QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 13, 2006 -> 08:37 PM) That's two pretty bad losses to SEA. Cleveland's pitchers looked pretty terrible. Their hitters sure are raking though. Their pitching is not going to dominate anyone this year. Just wait until their offense slumps.
