LOL, Sandusky's lawyer spoke out and said if you believe McQ you need to call 1-800-reality. Turns out that number is actually a gay sex line.

QUOTE (Brian @ Dec 13, 2011 -> 04:41 AM) Without question. Probably her Emmy episode. The finale looks loaded. I have to get up at 3:30 on Monday mornings but figured I would stay up once for Homeland finale instead of watching it on DVR but saw finale is 90 minutes. Don't think I can make it. Will avoid this thread until I watch it on Monday. Such a clutch show. They gave away ALOT in the preview though. I know I am emotionally invested because I keep yelling at Winters to stop being a terrorist.

QUOTE (danman31 @ Dec 13, 2011 -> 12:03 AM) LOL so I guess all the local media stories about him staying firm to PSU during the Sandusky thing was BS. Bill Greene expects Noah Spence and Carmen Williams to jump ship by this weekend as well. Urban also got Pittman from MSU last night. -
If Freddy Garcia doesnt end up with the marlins somehow its probably because someone vetoed it at some point.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Dec 9, 2011 -> 04:43 PM) He's fat so people don't like him, just like Jenks. He's like 3 Bobby Jenks. He has a butt in the back and in the front. I dont know what it is but its hard for me to respect and follow someone who takes such bad care of themselves.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Dec 12, 2011 -> 10:43 AM) PSU recruits are apparently jumping ship. Word is OSU got a verbal from 5 star Tommy Schutt this weekend and expect 1-2 more from the Lions in the next few weeks. Made official today, Glenbard West's Tommy Schutt to OSU. Urban's second 5 star. -
QUOTE (IamtheHBOMB @ Dec 12, 2011 -> 05:04 PM) This X 100000000 Sometimes, I wonder how so many members of my generation ended up as colossal p*****s with entitlement complexes. Kind of like people complaining about not having a job without actually going out looking for a job?

QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 12, 2011 -> 05:18 PM) Ohhhh Sullinger was out. I was at a bar with it on. Kansas was still getting inside and getting good shots in the paint pretty easily though. Which worries me. I was actually only being half-serious, they have plenty of talent eve without him, but they played like a team full of frosh and sophs. Getting the #1 recruit back on the team last week is going to help alot on the offensive end. OSU is going to be a much different team come tournament time than they are now. -

QUOTE (CanOfCorn @ Dec 12, 2011 -> 01:47 PM) Let's look back at some of the Illini Coaches: Mike White: Scandal John Mackovic: Left for Texas (smart, but ultimately, bad move) Lou Tepper: Good guy, bad coach, bad recruiter Ron Turner: Good coach, bad recruiter Ron Zook: Bad coach, good recruiter Word on Tim Beckman: Good coach, good recruiter, runs clean program (by NCAA standards, whatever those are). No, he's not a flashy Fedora/Sumlin/Leach hire. But neither was Brady Hoke. Or Jim Tressel. Or Mark Dantonio. Or Bielema. Or Ferentz. Someone's got to take a chance on these coaches. Why not the Illini? What's the worst that can happen? They fire another coach. Big surprise. Beckman is a solid coach and has alot of experience under GREAT coaches. Hiring anyone from the Woody Hayes lineage is always going to be a positive move. Ferentz and Bielema studied under Hayden Fry Dantonio and Hoke both studied under Woody Hayes (And Bo as well) guys in Moeller and Earle Bruce Tressel may not have been a "homerun" hire to some but he had tons of accolades before he was hired to OSU' staff: 1991, 1994 and 2002 American College Football Association Coach of the Year 1993, 1994 and 1997 Chevrolet National Coach of the Year 1994 Eddie Robinson Award Beckman was essentially the best Assistant coach under Urban Meyer at BG. He has coached up many NFL caliber players especially defensive backs. Although not a great headline grabber, he has alot of coaching lineage and accolades to point to success at Illinois if given the right resources. -

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 12, 2011 -> 08:29 AM) GM Gar Forman said that the Bulls are working with Derrick Rose's agents to finalize a five-year, $94 million extension. This is a formality, as the team has has already called it a "top priority" to accomplish. Rose has already stated that he has no interest in signing elsewhere, and this should be done rather quickly. Similarly to Kevin Durant, Rose has no interest in wasting the team's time in contract talks and wants to remain with the club long-term. Love this kid. Love is the perfect word. Great kid.

QUOTE (danman31 @ Dec 11, 2011 -> 03:00 PM) It is the way to pull an upset. I just don't like watching teams rely on 3s to win big games. It's not good basketball. The problem is we have to hear about how improved IU is when in reality they're still a bubble team. Except now they're a bubble team that got a huge resume boost. Their guards are mediocre and they're unable to get their best player involved at this stage in the season, which will result in a couple bad losses as we move on. That 3 was exactly what I would have called for as well. It was a thing of beauty. They probably will get beat up a bit in conference play, but with that said, they have enough of a home court advantage and a budding superstar to do some damage along the way. With the talent they bring in next year they will be very dangerous. The Big Ten is really looking tough moving forward. -

QUOTE (Rex Hudler @ Dec 10, 2011 -> 09:39 AM) LaMichael James was suspended for a game last year and finished 2nd? Not sure why he was suspended. I have no problem with Mathieu being a finalist. The guy made plays all year long and not just on special teams. Usually guys who are consistently in the right place at the right time to make plays, are there for a reason. He only has 2 picks. He deserves to be a finalist but not close to being a winner. A UM fan like yourself should appreciate the difference between a winner like Woodson and a finalist like HB. -

Micro-Brews Left field corner, there is an entire stand of Chicago land based microbrews. Its pretty damn awesome. You can also hit the BBQ brisket stand on the way over. -

QUOTE (VictoryMC98 @ Dec 9, 2011 -> 02:24 PM) All Sports cater to where the money is... and isn’t not with Joe the Plumber, or Bob the home builder. I’d say the majority of fans are not from the south side anymore, they are from the burbs. And coming to a game is just a pain… Have to fight traffic to get to the game, don’t get out of the game till 10-10:30 then drive home, which can be anywhere from 30-60mins.. Then get up for work.. Most people have kids and other stuff, it is just easier to flip the game on at the house. And get to a couple of games a year. IMO HD TV has lessened the need to actually go to a game. Just a theory, but I've found myself looking at the picture on my TV or at a bar and thinking, this is way more comfortable.
