QUOTE (Soxfest @ Dec 20, 2011 -> 01:33 PM) Penalty still was on the light side. Once Meyer signed as coach everyone knew the anctions would be very light or he would not have come! On the light side based on what? If you actually read the charges instead of ESPN you would have seen the what actually was being reported instead of bulls***. A bowl ban just extended the precedent of FTM charge over what it previously was. That doesnt bode well for other programs. -

QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Dec 20, 2011 -> 01:18 PM) http://www.cleveland.com/osu/index.ssf/201...otball_p_4.html Ohio State loses 9 total scholarships and gets a one year postseason ban. The big thing that comes out of this, for me, is how AMAZINGLY arrogant, stupid, or both Ohio State was to not decline a bowl bid this year. I hope they think that 6-6 Gator Bowl trip with an interim coach was worth it next year when they are sitting home after 12 games. Gene. Smith. Punishment was overly harsh considering the precedent of FTM charges never brining a bowl ban, but just to be safe why wouldnt you decline the f***ing Gator bowl. My guess is he is let go within the month. Looks like 2013 for our real run. -

QUOTE (fathom @ Dec 19, 2011 -> 05:57 PM) Steve, I agree with your synopsis on Homeland. I was disappointed in the final two episodes of the season. I really thought one or two of the main characters should have been killed off. I really didn't think the cliffhanger was anything shocking. How in the hell can you get a cell phone call in an underground bunker? They should have showed him going back into the room and then ended it there. Thats a f***ing cliffhanger.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 19, 2011 -> 12:07 PM) Missile test is supposed to be happening. Hopefully he wont intentionally down a plane like his father did. I was more saddened that the worlds greatest golfer died.

QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Dec 17, 2011 -> 07:38 PM) (Yes, even OSU. The Buckeyes are better, but don't have the same kind of length and explosiveness). Ah see, you are stuck thinking about the OSU of previous years. This years team is athletic and long as hell with really no outside shooting or organization. They are ridiculously young and have beaten teams based on length and running the ball. -

Pretty sure SC hasn't set a legal screen all game. And it looks like Sully broke his foot. Awesome. -
what is with this officiating.

I dont understand how they "lucked" into prospects. If you draft them and they end up pretty good, isnt that just following a plan?

QUOTE (iamshack @ Dec 15, 2011 -> 08:28 PM) Started P90X2 today with the core workout...significantly more athletic moves required...definitely a higher level of balance and agility necessary. One thing that is an awesome product is the Rumble Roller....what a great piece of equipment. I'd advise anyone who works out often to pick one up. That sounds awesome, I wish I could do it. Instead I am limited to walking workouts, pretty f-ing awesome.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 15, 2011 -> 01:27 PM) I actually feel the same way about a few movies. I was watching Pans Labrynth on HBOLatin and for about a half hour I couldnt figure out what was different, then i realized there was no subtitles. I dont understand spanish but I understood what was being said for the most part. Another good example. And you guys should add "Brotherhood of the Wolf" to your watch lists if you havent seen it yet.

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Dec 15, 2011 -> 07:13 PM) Plus the kids all have the same story, which means clearly one told all the others and they all made up the same sort of story. No dumbf***s, it shows Sandusky's continual pattern of attack. I may not always agree with him, but I am 100% confident that Soxbadger could do a better job than this guy.

QUOTE (lostfan @ Dec 15, 2011 -> 07:42 PM) I'm not too terribly versed in drug trading and s*** but I'm sure that low-quality weed in Chicago is at least 1000. He was getting it in Texas, probably cheaper there. Ill tell you that he was getting a very low price on the bulk of the shipment I guess. Thats a s***load of profit. -

Anyone watching ESPN? I tuned in to watch (hopeful) OSU recruit Tony Parker and have been amazed by the level of talent on the court. Its a whole different level of competition than we are used to seeing for sure. -
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Dec 15, 2011 -> 05:38 PM) St. Louis, that's who it was, thanks I couldn't remember. I found . It's obviously a different move than Kaner's, but both are similar in that they kind of stop the puck's forward movement, but don't really bring it backwards. Oh yeah, I was f***ing pissed when they awarded that goal. Everything is supposed to be moving forward during a shootout and he stopped almost dead. Last night when Kane slowed down to a crawl I was like WTF are you doing idiot, and then, awesomeness.

QUOTE (ScottyDo @ Dec 15, 2011 -> 05:19 PM) As a stand-alone story, this premise -- lame as it is -- might stand. In the context of Cowley's career, it's an incredibly transparent move, and one that should be beneath a columnist for a large newspaper. I mean, I'm not looking for New York Times integrity out of a sports columnist for the second paper in town, but you'd think he'd have some pride in his craft, and the ability to see the larger context of the things he does. I see no evidence to that effect, though. All I see is an immature boy who craves praise and attention. You can ask him yourself, he's been watching this board all day.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Dec 15, 2011 -> 05:34 PM) All we need is for All-American Whitney the Mercilus to stay in school another year. He is a guy that should be a poster child for how good the coaching has been on the d-line. He wasnt ranked as much of anything out of HS and turned into one of the best. -

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Dec 15, 2011 -> 03:55 PM) No, I don't have any precise numbers in front of me. But I can say with confidence Richard Hamilton cannot guard D-Wade. At all. I appreciate your opinion as a fan. Everyone has a different view on things, I just prefer to take that of people who are much closer to the NBA and the players than you are. You cant help but appreciate the irony in your vote of "confidence" in your declarations since they are happening in this exact thread.
-
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Dec 15, 2011 -> 03:45 PM) If you knew what you were talking about, you wouldn't even come with the lame s*** like that. I guess you read something in the paper that suggested Hamilton bothers Wade and now you're running with it. I'm the outlier? No. I'm the non-homer in a sea of homers on THIS board. I don't know how many message boards you frequent besides this one. But trust me. I'm not in the minority when it comes to my views on Richard Hamilton. So those reporters are in the minority thinking that Hamilton has frustrated Wade in the past? Can you point me to the great sources on other boards that will refute that point please? Thanks in advance for responding to my lame s***.
-
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Dec 15, 2011 -> 03:38 PM) And this is when you know you really have nothing to support your case. Well, other than blind homerism. "So you you're saying you know more than NBA reporters?" C'mon. You're better than that I recognize that outside of the miracle that was winning the lottery 4 years ago, this franchise has done next to nothing to put together a legitimate contender. But if you're fine with being the '08-'10 Cavs for the next few years, have at it. Whose case am I supporting? I saw several NBA reporters say he frustrates Wade, on the other side of the argument is a guy who is perpetually wrong about all things Bulls on a message board. It would seem you, the outlier, would need to support YOUR case.
-
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Dec 15, 2011 -> 03:26 PM) Well there you have it. The Bulls have found the last piece. The Wade stopper. And who said that by the way? Chris Broussard? lol. Mike Wallace, KC Johnson and Sam Smith are the ones I remember off of the top of my head. Just to be clear you are saying your opinion of his defensive abilities on Wade are just that much greater than several NBA reporters?
