QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jan 10, 2011 -> 10:18 PM) That won't be a problem. I'm looking for a slender fit as it is. I've got style, trust me. Good. I sent a friend over there and he came back with a 46 jacket and I was dying laughing. He was swimming in the thing.
  2. QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Jan 11, 2011 -> 01:07 PM) I dont think he was the answer anyways, from all accounts LSU fans don't think much of him. Casual LSU fans hate him,, realists know that he has been extremely successful. And why would he leave anyway? You are at LSU in the middle of tons of football talent in the SEC and you can oversign the s*** out of every class incoming. Arkansas has signed more than an entire class over OSU in the last 4 years due to the SEC practice. If I was a coach, no way I would leave that conference, especially at one that is considered a power these days.
  3. QUOTE (daa84 @ Jan 10, 2011 -> 11:28 PM) I know I'm in the minority but the college game has just lost it appeal on me. I just find the spread offenses gimmicky and while they are creative I can't help but somehow be bored by watching a bunch of defensive players who can't make open field tackles. Maybe I'm a football purist but the pro game has become so much more appealing to me over the last 5 years or so whereas I used to enjoy college much more. Defenses that can make open field tackles defeat the spread offenses. The read option which Oregon runs in their "go-go" is primarily a running offense designed to beat team that overpursue. However it is weak against stronger teams and teams that tackle in space. Oregon's offense has looked more than pedestrian in their last two bowl games scoring 17 and 19 points yet tearing up the Pac-10 year in and year out. I still favor the more conventional pro offense, which spread is more focused on passing.
  4. 2 consecutive underwhelming offensive performances in BCS bowls by Oregon. I think Auburn was the better team physically tonight, and thats what won it.
  5. QUOTE (zenryan @ Jan 10, 2011 -> 08:08 PM) no its not. All because there hasnt been any scoring doesnt mean its awful. Oh come on, you know if Oregon was Miami you would be cursing out Jacory right now, because thats about what Thomas has looked like. Lamichael James may be the best player on the field, feed him the ball.
  6. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jan 10, 2011 -> 07:56 PM) The way the grass moved it looked like field turf, but it does appear to be grass. Not sure what they did to get the field to act that way. They actually roll it out into the sun to grow and then roll it back in and fill in the gaps in pieces. I've seen alot of Fiesta bowls.
  7. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jan 10, 2011 -> 07:43 PM) Field turf just took out a guys knee. Its a natural grass surface, and appears to be in bad shape/not fully set. Auburn should have seen on those last two plays that you can throw against Oregon, there were two wide open men that Newton missed.

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jan 10, 2011 -> 06:56 PM) Won't be a problem. I have like 30 ties and a ton of dress shirts, but the jacket/pants have been lacking. Make sure they give you the correct size BTW. I have been to several stores where they think the "baggy" look is still in and they try to give me ridiculously large pants and jackets.
  9. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jan 10, 2011 -> 07:18 PM) I think itll be close. Oregon has more margin of error though as Auburn is going to need a great performance from Newton to have a chance. Hard to pick against Oregon, but Newton has been spectacular. They just need him to be him. Oregon was outgained by Pryor last year and they had no answer for him, if Newton can perform like he has and their defense makes some stops, they can win. It all comes down to Auburn's defense IMO.
  10. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Jan 9, 2011 -> 03:09 PM) Minnesota just got fouled going for a 3-pointer against Ohio State to tie the game. No call. It was a horrible play call though. But Ohio State's defender didn't get any ball, it was all wrist. Should have been a foul and Minny should have shot three to tie. The refs were beyond awful in that game, both coaches complained. Not sure Minny comes back from 18 down without the ridiculousness that went on. Clear foul at the end, just like most of the game, questionable no call.
  11. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Jan 10, 2011 -> 05:28 PM) BTW, I think TCU would have had a good shot at beating Oregon or Auburn. Split National Title? I could only wish. So go Ducks! There are several teams that have a "shot", but it doesnt matter. Since my Buckeyes were the only team to beat Oregon in the last year, I am going to go with the Ducks FTW even though I am pretty sure they are overrated.

I wear suits 80% of the time in my line of work, and I almost exclusively buy them from MW designer rack. They arent the super cheap stuff they advertise, but last time i went in there I got 4 suits, Kenneth Cole, RL, and CK for under 1200. I consider that a huge win.

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jan 10, 2011 -> 03:30 AM) So I'm in need of a couple suits. Going to be doing a lot of work in front of the camera this year, and I really only have one suit but it's not a perfect fit anymore. Any suggestions on where to look? Is Men's Warehouse all it's cracked out to be? Will I like the way I look.....guaranteed? Also, I'm not sure exactly what size I need, though I'm assuming I'd need some tailoring either way at 6'6, 230. MW is not bad, make sure you go for the designer suits and not the vesini's they try to rope you in with. You can get some good designed suits as a 2 for 1 that will look great on you. I wouldnt get mine tailored there though, at least not the "free" tailoring they have, they skimp on that portion a little. Macy's isnt bad either, but its a decent step up in price to get one of their good suits.
  14. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jan 8, 2011 -> 01:13 PM) I might have to drive it. I drove past a dealership last night and glanced at a few and they are really sharp looking SUVs. I really like the interior styling as well, which doesn't happen all that much. Well I bought it. Went against my rule and bought a brand new car. Got it just a touch above invoice, black/black fully loaded with a hemi. Honestly, its pretty awesome.
  15. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jan 7, 2011 -> 06:06 PM) What kind of deal you think you can swing? I am seeing MSRP's out here in the $42k range....so something around $40k? MSRP's for what I have been looking at are about 45k. I am trying to see what possible deals they have so I believe I will get them down closer to 41ish.
  16. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jan 7, 2011 -> 04:56 PM) Just checked the Overland...wow, I really like that, Rock. Nice looking SUV, not mammoth, but not one of these crossovers, very nice interior, lots of features. How does the build quality feel? Felt very un-jeep. The ride was so incredibly quiet, almost lexus-like, until you really stomped on the Hemi. I am seriously considering this car.
  17. Shack, You ever seen this guy's channel? I searched R8 and caught this guy just smoking every car possible in a GC SRT8 http://www.youtube.com/user/SRT8Vortech#p/u/3/jUIs5UH2jo0
  18. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Jan 7, 2011 -> 02:27 PM) Probably nothing, but interesting timing: What Is This Verizon Event And Why Was I Invited? Could It Be? Dare I Say… iPhone? could it be the ipad2 launch announcement?
  19. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jan 7, 2011 -> 02:02 PM) I love the Reds. seconded. I'm going to add an edit. One of the things I like most about the Reds is that they hate Cubs fans as much as we do. Also when i was in oxford, the 6 dollar tickets to an empty stadium was awesome.
  20. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jan 6, 2011 -> 08:05 PM) Yeah, talk about an impractical car. But I am a single guy with no kids that lives in Las Vegas...if there was ever a place where having that car would work...this is it. I'm going to take a serious look into these...I imagine the insurance is really bad...but 0-60 in 4.4 seconds...amazing styling reminiscent of the old 550's... yowzas... As for the RR, I took a look into those after you mentioned them the other day. It looks like if you're going to get a used one, you want to go 2010 since the interior was redesigned. Awesome SUV...definitelty would look into them if I was in a more extreme climate, but here, well, there are a million of them around town and I just don't need it's off-road and winter weather capabilities. Definitely a nice vehicle for your needs though. I like what I have seen of the Jeep GC's too, and I will always love the Wranglers, but I agree, overpriced. Let me know what you think of the FX50. FX50 test drive today. Its basically a g37 with a ballooned out trunk. The V8 felt exactly like my v6 in my little G, and you are a touch higher up. I dont know if I like the looks at all though, it really looks to me like a station wagon with a serious engine in it. I just cannot get over buying an SUV that cannot do any work offroad whatsoever. And it didnt even have any real towing package. I'm going back to take a 2nd look at the JGC overland today to see if I can get them to lower their price.
  21. QUOTE (DOWNTOWN PANTHER @ Jan 7, 2011 -> 12:27 PM) What gets lost in this post is the fact that Dunn was asked to play 1st base but was not receptive in any way shape or form to change positions with the Reds. You assertion that the Reds were "riciculously dumb" to not move him would be correct had they not tried to do that. Which says alot about the Reds management at the time, allowing Dunn to continue playing OF. Walt Jockety (the current Reds GM) would never stand for that. Since I spend alot of time in Ohio, I am familiar with the Dunn situation. Which is more intriguing to me is your stance on Dusty Baker, what are your thoughts?
  22. QUOTE (He_Gawn @ Jan 7, 2011 -> 12:30 PM) Which is sad because of how much talent is on that team. It could even be argued that they have more than MSU and OSU. I'm starting to believe Purdue fans when they said Bruce Weber can thank Matt Painter for landing him the Illinois job, he made that SIU team go. Meh, they dont have more than OSU, but maybe MSU. Both have stellar freshman classes, but OSU's appears better at the outset which is what the rankings reflected.
  23. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Jan 7, 2011 -> 11:57 AM) My realistic expectations are 80 HR's and 2.000 OPS. 50 WAR, minium. And I was just wondering where to go for lunch I had my heart set on Manny's today, but portillos chicken sandwich has me wavering.
