  1. each pitch could have been called a strike in that at bat
  2. first pitch looked like a strike to me....DJ warming...this doesnt look good...
  3. ugh come on johnny...we need a DP here, tough guy to turn though...
  4. QUOTE (joesaiditstrue @ Sep 25, 2008 -> 05:40 PM) altered beast i think it was altered beast and back in 05 when we first got JD he was terrible, and a poster named jabroni had some image from the game with jermaine's face on it saying i command you to rise from your grave...anyways as you may remember it worked out pretty well in the end
  5. im going old school "Jermaine dye I command you to rise from your grave!"
  6. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 24, 2008 -> 11:06 PM) This series is doing nothing to quiet the talk that Konerko and Dye lost all their fire after 2005. hmm...2006 would agree otherwise, but i understand what your point is
  7. win this one and all the pressure goes back on the other side
  8. QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Sep 24, 2008 -> 10:50 PM) Ron Coomer: "The Southsiders know what it's like to play in the dome now." Are you kidding me? They've been playing there for years. Cabrerra, Dye, Thome, Konerko, Griffey, Swisher, Pierzynski, Uribe, etc. have played in the dome numerous times. i once heard a rumor that ron coomer got a 12 on his ACT....not even joking, that was from a guy who worked at CF swington (coomers batting facilities)....
  9. didnt feel like the twins hit a ball hard the entire night...dye has to do something...when quentin went down he had to step up and he stepped back...blown call from the ump certainly didnt help...gotta win tomorrow
  10. Twins hitters vs. Javy Vazquez Denard Span 1-3 Alexi Casilla 1-3 Joe Mauer 9-28, 3 2b Justin Morneau 14-39, 6 HR 4 2b Jason Kubel 2-21, 8Ks Delmon Young 5-14 thats the top of the order...and its pretty clear if kubel is hitting behind morneau that we gotta go around morneau....others of note: adam everett is 5-13 against javy, so he could play over Tolbert, also not sure where cuddyer fits into their games, but he is 12-35 with 2 HR off javy... their big boys have hit javy hard, hes gonna have to limit their damage tomorrow night on the contrary.... White Sox hitters vs. Scott Baker OC 8-18 AJ 3-5 Dye 1-11 Thome 2-14, HR Konerko 4-14, 2 HR Alexei 0-3 Swisher 2-9 Uribe 1-9 outside of OC not alot of success (crede was 5-8 with a HR) and Jerry Owens is 3-5, so he could sneak into the lineup
  11. this game is huge....win this one and minny is on the ropes...they basically would have to win out in order to win the division....lose this one and i think minny gets in our heads a bit...it would be nice to see javy come up big...im worried if this game is 4-3 in the 6th and javy is at 100 pitches...who comes in for mauer and morneau? probably too early for thornton considering those guys will come up again later in the game....our best option (not that its a good option) might be clayton richard....yikes
  12. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 22, 2008 -> 08:59 AM) Jensen Lewis is their closer right now...rookie Scott Lewis is gonna start Friday...3-0 with a 1.42 ERA so far... and scott lewis scares the crap out of me...soft tossing lefty we've never seen before
  13. QUOTE (danman31 @ Sep 20, 2008 -> 08:38 PM) Can anyone in the SEC score or do they all blow at offense? Worst brand of football. IMO alot of those teams are overrated this year and the SEC isnt nearly as good as people think...tennessee looks bad....arkansas is horrendous this year, Vandy just beat ole miss, kentucky is kentucky, south carolina is not very good, miss state is awful....i still think georgia, florida and lsu are solid, but im not sure any is in the class of oklahoma usc..... that said it is still the best conference....but i dont think its the "best conference ever" as alot of people are saying seeing as how they have 5 top 10 teams right now
  14. cant keep counting on twins' losses....gotta string some wins together at some point
  15. thats gone in our park....damn...just got under it enough
  16. QUOTE (daa84 @ Sep 19, 2008 -> 12:14 PM) great start for the americans so far...at worst they should be up 2.5 to 1.5 after the morning play...has a shot to be 3.5 to .5 wow did i jinx this or what....well it is 3.0 to 1 but still...kenny perry imploded and blew a 1 point swing on the scoreboard
  17. great start for the americans so far...at worst they should be up 2.5 to 1.5 after the morning play...has a shot to be 3.5 to .5
  18. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 18, 2008 -> 08:34 PM) So let me get this straight...we pull our starters, but leave in our two most fragile players in PK and Griffey? If anything, get Swisher in the game and see if he can get some confidence. i thought the exact same thing
  19. longoria makes me hopeful for gordon beckham...gordo probably won't have quite as much power and certainly wont be as good on D, but nontheless the comparissons of being ultra stud college SSs taken in the top 10 are nice
