  1. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 9, 2008 -> 09:52 PM) Unhittable. Dotel is nasty. Too bad half this board thinks he should be a mop-up guy. yeah hes been terrific save for a few outings that all relievers have.... its amazing with relievers...if you have a slow start to the year, even if its an outing or two its really difficult to gain back favorable public opinion
  2. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 9, 2008 -> 10:42 PM) I don't get why you don't leave Thornton in, as they have their lefties coming up. yeah id rather leave thornton in there too...especially with dejesus due up second and gordon 4th if someone gets on
  3. QUOTE (tommy @ Jul 9, 2008 -> 10:20 PM) JD, time to break out right now. yeah hes due....0-9 this series so far
  4. QUOTE (tommy @ Jul 9, 2008 -> 10:08 PM) Adam Russell in? yep and Ks him on 3 pitches...hes been pretty solid...given his AAA numbers i actually have confidence in this guy...at least as much as i do masset
  5. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Jul 9, 2008 -> 10:05 PM) Kitties win. Cabrera has been red hot lately. against my guy jensen lewis...indians have lost 10 in a row.....pushing for the worst record in all of baseball...whoda thunk it
  6. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 9, 2008 -> 09:57 PM) My mom thinks Thome is hurt. Hes gottta be hurt then
  7. mines dan, my mom won the battle...my dad wanted an italian name and i was pretty close to either being vito or rocco
  8. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jul 8, 2008 -> 11:27 PM) As far as I know, we haven't announced a call-up but it will be a 12th pitcher. I'm not exactly sure on the candidates. But more importantly, what should we be doing with the closer's role. Liney now has 1 save to 3 blown saves. Dotel isn't much better with 2 blown saves, 34 career. Thorton is usually terrible in the 9th with the lead as well. with the bullpen being used up tonight, i call up a starter that can eat up innings for us...probably broadway...i think i close with dotel
  9. i have basically 0 expectations for mcculloch, even though he was a 1st rounder....so its nice when he pitches well...maybe hes actually giving himself a chance
  10. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jul 8, 2008 -> 10:05 PM) Who's going to take the count's place in the second half? while we have a general lack of talent especially in the upper minors...there have been alot of guys at charlotte that have pitched pretty well....broadway richard whisler and haeger (especially as of late) have been pretty solid down there and may all deserve a look, but i think its gonna take an injury for any of them to get a shot...and even then it may be masset that gets the nod then again none of those names excite me, or are really viable options while we are fighting for the division
  11. ive always thought dejesus is one of the most underrated players in the game....im surprised nobody has tried to get him as his name alwasy seems to come up at the deadline, but he could certainly help alot of teams this year
  12. ozzie what the hell why was he still out there
  13. QUOTE (maggliopipe @ Jul 8, 2008 -> 10:03 PM) Why was zesty Este Loaiza in uniform in the dugout? Thought he was rehabbing. Or maybe it just wasn't him but I could swear it was. he was in the dugout over the weekend as well
  14. this has 6-3 written all over it ....i wish we would see masset or someone else here, even if our pen is down bobby
  15. quentins inability to get those 2 runs in are looming large right now stone says that ball went 700 feet in jest.....somehow im guessing hawk said something similar with a completely different tone
  16. haha and CC doubles podsednik off of third and gets out of it...
  17. QUOTE (soxfan3530 @ Jul 8, 2008 -> 09:49 PM) For you NBA fans out there, Brand stuck it to the Clips and signed with the Sixers. That sucks for the Bulls. that team has a good shot at winning a series or two in the playoffs next year....
  18. shocked he got out of that...good job jose ...take the rest of the night off please
  19. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 8, 2008 -> 09:46 PM) Leadoff double for the Twins against Papelbon. whatever happened to nick punto having a sub .600 OPS
  20. QUOTE (soxfan3530 @ Jul 8, 2008 -> 09:44 PM) wait what????? sabathia is imploding for the brewcrew right now....forte is fine...i was saying that if he went down it would hte ultimate kick in the balls on an already s***ty day
