  3. QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Jul 15, 2008 -> 10:00 PM) Navarro shouldn't have even been on the roster. i dont have a problem with navarro being on it...hes been better than AJ and when it comes to throwing guys out...its not even close, despite the fact that navarro made the error
  4. QUOTE (Brian @ Jul 15, 2008 -> 09:58 PM) Does AL have any starters in the pen in case of extras? kazmir
  5. i dont want these yankee fans to get into papelbons head....even though the guy is a tool
  6. QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ Jul 15, 2008 -> 09:54 PM) Crede and Quentin will have their share of AB's from this point forward if it goes extras considering Guillen is the only positional player on the AL yet to be used. longoria too
  7. QUOTE (Brian @ Jul 15, 2008 -> 09:52 PM) Damn, would of loved Papelbon in the 8th and Rivera in the 9th if AL could of gotten the lead. I don't like KROD, and definitely don't like him in a tie game. papelbon is in
  8. QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Jul 15, 2008 -> 09:51 PM) What's disgusting is I find myself rooting for Nathan, Morneau, Sizemore, etc. haha yeah, but ill root for those guys for just today, since its the AL ....and it sure beats the hell outa rooting for soto fukudome ramirez etc....
  9. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jul 15, 2008 -> 09:50 PM) Get Quentin up and the AL will take the lead. especially with michael young in front of him i assume longoria hits for crede?
  10. this is like watching the white sox vs. a soft tossing lefty
  11. thank god francona realizes varitek blows
  12. good start....gotta get that run in at least
  13. maybe another michael young 2 out triple will drive in the winning run
  14. man varitek really does work with those pitchers well
  15. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Jul 15, 2008 -> 08:56 PM) Your Chicago Cubs: 0-4 and looking mighty fine doing it. yep...and they are halfway to winning home field advantage when they cake walk through the NL to get to the series

  17. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jul 15, 2008 -> 08:14 PM) "And heeeeere come the pretzels!" "Hall of Famer Whitey Ford now on the field, pleading with the crowd for- for some kind of sanity." "Uh-oh, and a barrage of pretzels now knocking Whitey unconscious." you can call em whitey whackers
  18. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Jul 15, 2008 -> 09:51 AM) Why would it be foolish? Low risk, High reward. It isnt as if he is angling for a huge contract i agree with this sentiment...nothing guaranteed....do what the bosox have done with colon

  21. QUOTE (DBAH0 @ Jul 15, 2008 -> 09:57 AM) I actually think if you went out and signed Garcia if he was healthy, the Sox should target an upgrade at an OF (Jason Bay?) spot possibly (but then what do you do with Konerko I guess, because Swisher would most likely move to 1B). But that's the thing where the Sox are at right now. They don't DESPERATELY need anything. The rotation for the most part has been good (except for Vaz and JC in the last month), the bullpen has been excellent (but has faltered a little lately), while the offense is beginning to heat up. Right now, I think standing pat as we did in 2005, is very well what we could end up doing, or just making a minor move to improve a bench spot maybe. who plays center then? bay? i wouldnt mind going after dejesus....he seems like hed be a solid fit for this team, but i dont see us benching pauly or really making him a part time player...at least not at 12 mil a year
  22. i know hamilton is a great story....but the record for HR hit in a round has been broken like every other year recently...tejada, abreu, now hamilton....the balls are juiced, and its obvious.....i know hamilton is strong, but he popped a few pitches up that landed like 15 rows deep...not to mention, abreu did roughly the same thing in comerica, which is far more difficult to hit it out than a lefty a yankee stadium
  23. QUOTE (tommy @ Jul 14, 2008 -> 05:15 PM) It would be great addition to our already solid rotation. I don't see it happening. After reading the original post on WSI it seems like most of members there do not have too much faith in the original poster and are treating it semi-serious, more like a huge rumor, maybe it's just me tho. from what it says the poster just heard that stuff on the radio...though hes a pretty credible guy...i think he has a source either in the sox or dbacks organization....he broke the carlos quentin deal like an hour before anyone else had heard about it
