  1. dear pitching staff/AJ/toby dont f***ing throw jack custs fastballs
  2. does kurt suzuki hit HRs against anyone other than the white sox?.....meanwhile...good thing donny lucy worked out for us
  3. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 16, 2008 -> 12:44 AM) Nice pitch....high fastball in a sac fly situation. What a terrible job by AJP tonight. looked like a hanging breaking ball to me....either way...thats just as bad to throw
  4. QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Aug 16, 2008 -> 12:42 AM) I'd prefere to just walk him. yep...nothing too good here...
  5. so.....i assume we are pitching to suzuki....bad move...guy is a contacts hitter and carassco isnt striking anyone out...not that we would have much of a shot walking him and hoping for the DP to patterson....but crap...walk em both...and go after ellis?
  6. ramirez is gonna walk at least 1 this inning...no question about it
  7. QUOTE (joesaiditstrue @ Aug 16, 2008 -> 12:31 AM) what a joke, if there ever was a person on this team that i would never allow to steal a base, it would be Alexei, he's just terrible at it, i'm surprised he has 9 on the year uribe may be worse than alexei
  8. just brutal... not even a good move by street
  9. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Aug 16, 2008 -> 12:27 AM) At least we have a chance against Street. do we? seems like we can never even come close to touching this guy....probably because he almost exclusively throws junk low and away
  10. just to anger you all a little bit more.... from espn on july 3rd
  11. last time we played oakland ESPN ran a stat showing Cust's numbers on the fastball vs. breaking balls....the jist of it was, Cust doesnt chase pitches out of the zone, fastballs or curveballs...but in the strike zone, he rakes fastballs, and hits breaking balls at like a historically bad rate fathom beat me to saying this exact same thing
  12. seemed like AJ was nowhere to be seen either though...that ball wasnt that far from him, even if it is uribes ball
  13. i can't believe keith foulke was higher than garland...especially with the bad blood foulke left with and the times he blasted the sox after he left.....
  14. caucasian......half italian ....the rest is euro mutt as well
  15. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Aug 14, 2008 -> 08:50 AM) Best burger from a chain restaurant I've had, bar none, was Backyard Burger. They're a smaller chain, in the south, so I suppose most here haven't had one. But they are superb. backyard burger has the closest burger to real restaurant quality of any fastfood i have ever had...good chicken and fries there too...i wish they had em near chicago
  16. QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ Aug 13, 2008 -> 10:54 PM) I can gurantee he hasn't been sitting on his couch eating ice cream since the CWS ended. and i can guarantee he hasnt been doing anything that resembles playing in A ball from KW
  17. QUOTE (scenario @ Aug 13, 2008 -> 09:11 PM) You act like he's a 30 year old journeyman or something. He's 24. Teams don't dump 1st round draft pick pitchers at 24 years old. except the phillies
  18. QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ Aug 13, 2008 -> 05:45 PM) Like a month or so? This isn't the NFL where not signing basically benches you for your rookie year. he's gonna get two worthless weeks at Kanny...CWS ended june 25....so he coulda gotten all of july and all of august...so 2 months...if he started at Kanny he conceivably could have been to W-S and maybe even Bham at the end of this year with BHam likely a start next year....now he prolly will start in A ball next year...its not a huge deal, but it woulda been nice for the kid to play....we are a bit short on prospects, and i for one would have been happier if he was playin ball rather than sitting at home for the past 8 weeks
  19. bout time ....kid lost alot of development time
  20. QUOTE (ChiSox35 @ Aug 12, 2008 -> 01:33 AM) Only NFL game I've been to was a Bears blowout of Seattle in their Super Bowl year. It was fun, but I'd rather be at a Sox or Cubs game without a doubt. I sat in the upper tank that night and saw two fools tumble down the stairs in my section, and IIRC some tard jumped into the lake afterwards. IMO baseball is hella better live than football, and I'd rather see a regular season baseball game than be at the Super Bowl. ive been to only maybe 5 NFL games, but i agree with you. baseball is a sport that is better in person than it is on tv, but football is close to bein the exact opposite...i dont think ive ever enjoyed watching football as much as i did when i was on my futon in my suite in college with a bunch of my buddies, a case of beer, some ordered food and 3 tvs set up to watch the various college football games
  21. between dunn, big unit, bigger unit (rauch) and tony clark...this has to be the tallest team ever
