  1. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ May 12, 2008 -> 08:23 PM) what a great game being thrown in CLE tonight i cant even begin to try to explain cliff lee...he was soooo bad last year
  2. Poreda went 6 giving up 3 hits, 2 BB 0 Runs and 5 Ks.....ERA down to 2.34 if he keeps this up for another month or so i expect him to be in Bham
  3. QUOTE (fathom @ May 12, 2008 -> 09:30 PM) They face three of the worst offenses in the AL during interleague in the Sox, Orioles, and Toronto (without Wells, of course). yeah i meant i cant wait til we face the NL though...we get to play the 3rd place San Francisco giants...think about that teams roster....3rd place lol
  4. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ May 12, 2008 -> 09:25 PM) And the Cubs get to play the Pirates afterwards. One powerhouse after another i cant wait for interleague play....the NL is so bad this year its not even funny...ugh i know i talk about it all the time, but it just aggravates me so much to watch the cubs beat up on a new has-been pitcher every night while facing a joke of an offense and bullpen guys nobody has ever heard of (with the exception of the last diammondbacks series, but even that team isnt as good as their record indicates, though i will concede they are very legit, and are the cubs, but the rest of the league stinks)
  5. QUOTE (fathom @ May 12, 2008 -> 09:18 PM) Well, that Padres lead didn't last long. Where's Jim Edmonds when you need him. At least we have Estes trying to stop their winning streak tomorrow. i know randy wolf has been good this year, but how pathetic is this padres team? randy wolf and shawn estes in the rotation? jody gerut leading off and playing CF??
  6. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ May 12, 2008 -> 11:28 AM) How about Cy Young's career losses 316. Who the hell would break that? nobody will come close...this is the record that will certianly never ever fall....its less likely than 511 wins imo.....316 losses requires a guy to lose 20 games for 15 straight years.....considering 20 losses has happened like twice in the last 30 years it has no chance...no manager would ever stick with a guy that long that said im not sure its a "record" in the sense that who the hell wants to hold it?
  7. QUOTE (fathom @ May 11, 2008 -> 05:21 PM) I missed the play, but could Cabrera have made the play on Ichiro's infield single? not a chance
  8. why the hell is the field in seattle so wet?
  9. these mariners announcers are horrendously boring...they make skip caray sound entertaining
  10. QUOTE (north side chi sox fan @ May 9, 2008 -> 10:35 AM) Too bad we miss out on Felix Hernandez and Eric Bedard Silva, Washburn, Batista we gotta take at least 2 out of 3 we have absolutely pounded carlos silva in the past...

  12. QUOTE (rangercal @ May 6, 2008 -> 10:49 PM) I need a f***ing bullet listening to those morons. for as much as hawk and DJ give credit to blyleven as a pitcher...hes that bad as an announcer not to mention this golden piece of broadcasting.... http://www.lemonzoo.com/funny_videos/16411...On_Live_TV.html

  16. oh god if that was gonna be the one to do it ...wow nice play OC
  17. QUOTE (lostfan @ May 6, 2008 -> 09:07 PM) Ughhhhhhhhh ESPN is awful at broadcasting these types of games if you know what I mean. Every time one is in progress they mention it every 10 seconds. i know it really affects the outcome!
  18. QUOTE (TheBigHurt @ May 6, 2008 -> 09:07 PM) Game picked up on ESPN. WOOT! Go Floyd! maybe we can catch blylevan do the "oh s*** we have to do this f***ing thing again cuz i just f***ed it up......oh wait are we live!?"
  19. QUOTE (fathom @ May 6, 2008 -> 09:02 PM) Would it be Manny in the AL so far? manny, kotchmann, Cliff lee or ervin santana maybe
  20. just a random baseball thought...how many players in the AL off the top of your head are MVP candidates? doesnt feel like theres been a ton of dominant guys so far this year....manny i guess...quentin lol look at the NL though...chipper, berkman, mclouth, webb, dlee, utley, pujols, burrell, han ram all those guys have high averages and a bunch of HR, most of the AL HR leaders have really low averages wonder if it has to do with overall depth of the pitching in the NL
  21. espn is about to pick the game up during baseball tonight
  22. maybe juan really started feelin the whole "black tuesday" thing
