  1. Save your energy dude. They were a quartet of uber-trolls who just happened to root for the Sox and who tried their best to turn SoxTalk into ESPN dead zone. That is not an opinion open to interpretation. It's a FACT....supported by a year's worth of post evidence and PM's. They wouldn't have lasted 3 days on any other self-repecting board. I have to at all the pussies who now say they miss this troll or that scum 'cuz he was "real"....Hey where were you when the s*** was going down? That's right, getting your jollies off vicariously through your trio of heroes while they (righfully) drew the wrath of admins and mods. Pathetic.
  2. Then Tizzle, my nizzle, you must admire me a lot cuz that's all I do 'round here pretty much-- just telling it like it is. Or does the balls comment only apply to the anti-PC/GOP crowd?
  3. That's because this site is supposedly run by a Voodoo-sponsored homosexual cabal, silly. You really didn't get that memo, did ya?
  4. Question: do you reside in Vegas , do you think Mark Burhle is a good pitcher and has Metallica ever put on an awesome show in CA?
  5. Kill Bill Vol 1 was awesome. Glorious Tarantino fluff. But I wish I never saw the trailer as the bastards spoiled so much stuff that I knew was coming. Never again. I have taken a moratorium on watching trailers in general, especially Kill Bill Vol 2.
  6. Nah PA, it's hard to fight with someone who you know is alright and fundamentally respect. What we have here is a harmless difference of opinion expressed perhaps in a not-so-tactful-manner. Hardly the People vs. Evil Trio stuff. PS Penn and Duvall OWN. Crowe I could take or leave, but his talent is undeniable.
  7. I am not a big fan of the Rings or Peter Jackson (I AM a big fan of Sir Ian McKellan and Cate Blanchett, tho), but I admire the sheer achievement that is the Trilogy. Matrix, X-men, Harry Potter, SW, etc.....NONE of them can hold a candle to it IMO...in no small part thanks to the LOTR springing from such revered and authoritative source material. And Pirates was pure camp fun, J-Depp/Jeffrey Rush are always cool. That Kiera Knightly chick(from bend it like beckham) is the next wynona ryder.
  8. Meh, weirder things have happened. No wait....they SO haven't!
  9. Word. Orumasa was the first who came to mind as soon as I read. Damn, it was surreal when she said it, considering how otherwise smart she is.
  10. Huh? . Now you're catching up. Things in general aren't nearly as bad these days, are they now? [channeling my inner Steff]: Where did I say you shouldn't aspire to be a man of honor, courage, truth and conviction....liar? My middle name IS idealism.....and that includes feminist ideals. I am scandalous like that. Very real. Unless you happen to think the keyboard is an intelligent being, with feelings and personality. . That's good because if you did, people wouldn't like it. You should have clarified that you espoused "modern family values" then. Didn't sound like it at first. But I see that later in your posts you put qualifiers and dislaimers. Good. My second middle name is "the past".....but when one inspect the "history/tradition" through self-servingly rosey prism, he/she shouldn't be surprised when someone else tries to set the record straight. No s***....and that is why I like you. I don't think I could respect a Bible-thumping, Heaven ticket-obcessing freak. Damn, I knew I should have worked the scowling-Kevin-Costner-reading-off-a-cue-card-and-praying-the-native-extras-don't-eat-him into my narrative to spice things up. Sorry. Here's to hot feminists and traditionalists and dadaists everywhere
  11. And THAT is why my love for James Agree (and Katerine Hepburn) knows no bounds.
  12. If her man's got work ethic, some ambition and is honest, even if he only makes average wage, why on earth would she think he is a bum? Fo14 doesn't seem like the superficial idiot-queen type. (Of course, if he IS a bum, then instead of blaming her gossiping friends, maybe he should look in the mirror. Just saying.)
  13. I am sorry, should I have told you what you wanted to hear and agree with you even though I don't? If you're looking for total ideological/spiritual homogenuity, perhaps melgibsonisgod.com would be more suiting to your sensibilities. BTW, I was raised by a couple of SUPER-AWESOME grandmothers who in their youth gave up SO MUCH (trust me) to bring up my parents and then their grandkids, and NEVER showed anything remotely resembling regret, at least not that I've seen. So I would NEVER suggest that woman-at-home thing is wrong or ineffective.... IF and only if it's a direct result of a CHOICE made with a clean conscience.
  14. Those are MOVIES....works of FICTION....featuring COMPOSITES of various IDEALS and HERO ARCHITYPES that may or may not have ever existed.....Wake the f*** up. I get it...people today don't know how to be true, how to love, and have no honor or courage....blablabla-trite-and-simplistic-generalization-cakes. It was tired when BMR was paying crooked lip service to it. Meh. I love white-washing and romanticizing the past/different cultures, and far be it from me to dismiss the need for art and heroic ideals.......But at some point all this "society is collapsing; people aren't the same!" rhetoric crosses over into undiluted BULLs*** realm. Re: draft. If you wanna die for a trivial cause such as an illegal war, it's YOUR business, I applaud you. Frankly, I value my life and my family too much. Unless it's a Hitler 2.0 type threat where it's a question of survival, sorry... go find some OTHER clog in the machine. Methinks I'll contribute to society some other, equally important, way
  15. To be fair....."liberated" ones aren't always such a good thing. Sluts are overrated IMHO. Courtship, mind games especially the "talking into various 'extracarricular' activities" part are half the fun anyway.....even if masochistic by nature. And once there, overwhelming an inexperienced "conservative" girl (no, not Jesus freak virgins!) in bed can be great fun. It's an ego thing. But hey, reasonably liberated works too and has it's privileges, Soxy. Keep on fighting a good fight.
  16. The adjective "accepting" is very funny one. For ages it had a certain implication..... Social taboos and lack of opportinity + family's expectations + an unwanted pregnancy + physical, psychological and economic pressure from her "early 1900s" man = I can see how that would put a woman in a particularly "accepting" mood. . I dunno PA, some mantras are worth shoving down unenlightened throats.....We've recently found out that, among other things, women are every bit as intelligent, creative and competitive as men are despite the millenii of insufficient experience and lack of education...... And I am pretty sure that after a swift knee in the nads and a small razor strategically placed at your throat while you're on the ground, any woman on here can subjugate you in SECONDS if need be. Hey, why don't you quote Andrea Dworkin while you're at it. I am sure she' got a sound-byte for you Just because I don't bang a nail in with me forehead to show off to my drunken neanderthal buddies or view/treat women as glorified servants/baby machines God conveniently put there for my pleasure.......that don't make me any less of a man. But hey.....if having a consciece, erudition, personality, creativity and a fundamental respect for other's rights and consideration of other's feelings somehow DOES make me less of a man in some backward moron's eyes...then, hell, I am all too happy to admit to being one. I say if you are totally secure in your manhood/masculinity and got your ego on a leash.....I don't see how the idea of a strong (physically and psychologcally), assertive, independent thinking woman should "emascalamatate" you. If anything, it pushes your bounderies and chellenges you to be an even bigger man if you wanna mantain the handle on things. Makes it more FUN, too. Besides....contrary to the myth....a hot feminist is a HUGE turn on. PS I should add that it's a GIVEN that if a woman really DOES want to be "passive and supportive" and stuff, nobody should have a problem with that. Certainly not me. Unlike *some* people, I DON'T PRESUME to know what's *best* for her or for society-- didn't get the memo yet.
  17. Why, cuz he's a jap or because he might be gay?
  18. HAHAHA! That's why you're the second funniest comedian, PA.
  19. Between 1988 and 1997, Sox payroll went up by 900% Please check the inflation/ticket prices trend and get back to be.
  20. Oooh, I love this "society-friendly" rhetoric....That is, until the person who is the most vocefirous and philosophical and non-chalant about it finds out he/she has cancer.........Then, it's no longer the "cancer patients should understand the facts of life and make peace with death without grabbing for my dollar", but RATHER "I want the cure, give me the cure, why isn't there the cure, spend the entire GDP on the cure goddamnit.... AAAHHHHHHH!!" Would you tell your parent(s) "hey, you must die so as to not needlessly overburden society and/or to teach ME how to not take life for granted"? This is WHY there is much need for perfecting the system of government , for better public education and for more efficient wealth/resource distribution: the world/society can easily FEED/ACCOMODATE everybody for many centuries to come (especially now with food technology and all) , but certain expoloitative b****es are hogging everything, thinking a few extra inheritances/brain cells/hours of study all of the sudden make them worth more than 100s millions of less fortunate people of the Third World. Imperfect economic system and a few (hundred million) un-cooperative individuals are ones to BLAME.....NOT the science that tries to cure cancer/AIDS, "artificially" extending average age and expanding population. (Incidentally, worst comes the worst, I wouldn't be against a child max quota, with severe monetary/legal penalties for who want the luxury of, say, 5+ kids) And before I hear how overpopulaiton is spinning out of control....hey, guess what? One nuclear war, one large enough asteroid, one currently uncurable virus/bacteria epidemic or an ozone-related gaffe......and we're back to 5000 BC population levels JUST.LIKE.THAT-- very possibly in OUR lifetime. Be careful what you wish for in other words.
  21. So would you say the most successful person is one with the largest testicles? While it's hard to argue with (but easy to ignore!) all the fascinating theories you briefly summarized, I have to side with 1549 on one sub-issue: human understanding of success/egocentric view of existence is WAY cooler and vastly preferrable to anything else.... Empty, pointless unverse is not something I wanna inhabit and when I die you goddamn right the universe ENDS-- afterall I AM the culmination of anything and everything that has ever existed or not existed or yet to exist.....as far as I am concerned. YMMV. A question: Since the universe is 15 billion years old, why on Earth do we look down on people who like guitar music from 40-70's as though they should be commited to a museum? A few decades is nothing in the grander scheme of things. A nano-second that blinked. Ok, that's enough pedestrian non-sequitory for one morning.
  22. Donnie Darko? I dunno...I find it kinda funny, I find it kinda sad....
  23. All these "white flags are falling!" goons need to be reminded that, as it stands right now, Sox payroll is only 2 Mill away from being an ALL-TIME franchise HIGH. (By comparison, 1999-2000 teams averaged 29 Mill) And unlike 2001 when that powerhouse Tribe team roamed the fields, it will take LESS to beat the overrated Royals this year. JR sucks, it's a given.....but certain unreasonably pessimistic and bilous Sox fans suck even more.
  24. You know it! Throw in the right 5 figures, a mask, a 100-page non-disclosure agreement and I'm there. And you were SO right about Japan's dichotonomneious sexual identity....Man, Audition (Odishon) is the freakiest flick I've seen in a long time. How would you differentiate Japan's brand of "freaky" versus Chinese one? PS Taboos get a bad rap.
  25. You're right as always Uncle Jim. That "advice" post of mine was just a diversion, a prelude to telling everyone how big my cock looks under the city lights.
