  1. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ May 27, 2014 -> 07:02 PM) No, I have an extended family member who knows someone who knew Buehrle from around the St. Charles area and they got it for me after I graduated high school. Then I was at all the games when they were in St. Louis and just got lucky with Paulie and I also got a hat signed by Viciedo and a ball signed from guys who aren't here or in AAA (Escobar, Jordan Danks, Reed) i love collecting, started really collecting more this year, especially avisail items. i have the game used pants (white) he wore last year, game used retro hat, batting gloves, cleats used to hit his 1st homerun with sox, tigers hat, tigers helmet, over 20 autos..and ill stop there haha just started collecting other sox now too. just have aj, sale ,pk, hector so far
  2. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ May 27, 2014 -> 06:51 PM) That is awesome!! I have a signed ball like that from Mark Buehrle then I have a world series photo I got signed by Paul Konerko when the White Sox were in St. Louis 2 years ago! thanks! do you collect other signed stuff, game used? always wondered if there were any collectors on here
  3. i got this in the mail today(ttm), was very excited to see it paulie
  4. QUOTE (bmags @ May 27, 2014 -> 01:43 PM) You know what, boo hoo, so what that 20-year HOF veteran Derek Jeter is going to play 2 innings in his final all star game. Is it annoying the elevated status he has maintained from playing in the country's largest media environment? yes, it was. So were his gold gloves, but this one? Can't get mad. i have no problem with him playing in the game, but it sucks that someone that should be going is going to get snubbed. but hey, ny fans are voting and good for them. which is another issue, it matters yet why do fans get to vote? but whatever lol as long as alexei , sale and abreu go, thats their problem lol
  5. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 27, 2014 -> 01:06 PM) https://twitter.com/JeffFletcherOCR/status/...2853760/photo/1 Alexei trails Jeter, Abreu trails Miguel and PooHoles. Jeter starting ugh what a joke but he "deserves" it right lol
  6. im sure now that it came out and he saw it, he regrets drinking that much lol sure hes not gonna hear the end of it in the clubhouse haha
  7. QUOTE (LDF @ May 26, 2014 -> 07:09 AM) some posters corrected me and mention that with the salary cap for drafted players, player are slotted with the amount of what an agent or advisor can asked. I still believed the advisor can asked for the max and there by limiting the ability to sign the other drafted prospects. Rodon, Alex Jackson are 2 known prospects that have boras. Second the personal animosity that the sox and boras has for each, HAS to play into the equations. to me that isnt the biggest problem, the slot money, its the future money if he pans out. its the year to year arb and hitting free agency. no quintana/sale type deals is what i mean
  8. So the people on here that don't have Rodon 1st on their lists is it do to what you think he'll become or Boras $$ ?
  9. QUOTE (fathom @ May 23, 2014 -> 10:04 AM) Rodon to Sox http://www.baseballamerica.com/draft/2014-...mock-draft-3-0/ i know it sucks because hes with boras and the money itll cost, etc but im sure none of us will mind getting him lol better than nola and seeing him to be projected to be ready late 2016
  10. QUOTE (bmags @ May 15, 2014 -> 12:00 PM) What do the #s mean next to the name? i think teams current record?

  12. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ May 15, 2014 -> 11:11 AM) Because forcing someone to think about Dunn's 2011 season is the definition of cruel and unusual punishment ah ok, gotcha haha no one will ever forget lol
  13. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ May 15, 2014 -> 10:30 AM) Not at all. VMart: .301/.355/.430/.785 Dunn: .219/.320/.442/.762 Martinez got on base more, but Dunn hit for more power and had 20 more homers. Depending on what you are looking for, Dunn wasn't really that much worse in 2013. was just wondering why u said you dont count 2011?
  14. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ May 14, 2014 -> 09:22 AM) And he wasn't that much better in 2013 if you can look past batting average. And 2011 doesn't exist in my world. and im assuming this is sarcasm?lol
  15. QUOTE (Soxfest @ May 14, 2014 -> 12:07 AM) I love VM wish he was here next year in Dunn's spot. still better than dunn lol and me too but this team has too many dhs
  16. QUOTE (Soxfest @ May 13, 2014 -> 08:52 PM) Cabrera 3 run jack 2 outs in 9th what a stud. And martinez has been great this year, batting .333, better protection than fielder lol wish the sox would have got vmart instead of dunn,oh well
  17. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ May 9, 2014 -> 07:59 AM) That's odd, Indiana should be considered regional. i picked up 2 at walmart yesterdy and there was a lot more, in indiana(the one by horseshoe casino)
  18. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ May 12, 2014 -> 12:52 PM) That's the whole point of selling high. And unless Vicedo shows he can continue to take walks , and keep his average up there and hit for more power and manage to not trip over himself too many times on defense, we're not at a "helluva player" in return for him yet. Now even close. i agree witht this post, im in the sell high on viceido camp. just too many things i dont like about him(which you stated)
  19. QUOTE (greg775 @ May 10, 2014 -> 09:03 PM) How could we trade Reed for an unknown third baseman who isn't in the bigs? I want REED! Much better than our closers. well, it looked like a good trade the time lol
  20. QUOTE (South Side Fireworks Man @ May 10, 2014 -> 08:50 PM) Alex Rios would have had that. nah, he would have expected the second baseman to get that lol
  21. Off topic, i know, but does anyone know when the abreu sports illustrated comes or came out. Kept hearing about it but i went to target, Walgreen's, etc and couldn't find one
  22. QUOTE (fathom @ May 8, 2014 -> 10:52 PM) The 5 straight strikeouts and a grand slam are pretty nice returns, considering the best player in the package isn't one of the 3 involved (as I'm sure you know). I don't think Olt or Grimm are anything special though, but Ramirez has a great arm and can be a late inning reliever. They win automatically since garza is gone though, even if just one is decent
  23. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ May 8, 2014 -> 10:50 PM) What impressed you more? The .626 OPS before tonight or that straight as an arrow fastball from an A A A pitcher he crushed? Isn't he batting like. 160-180? Probably the next Bryan lahair
  24. i know rizzo is 24 and abreu is 27, but hes still a rookie seeing these pitchers for the first time. look at rizzos numbers his first 3 years. im pretty sure he knows abreu has more talent and has been better but its just as mentioned, to stir the pot and hes getting exactly what he wants.
  25. nice. do players get anything for winning or is it what it is, just an announcement?
