QUOTE (scenario @ Mar 4, 2009 -> 10:39 AM) It's a girl for White Sox's Buehrle and wife White Sox staff ace Mark Buehrle and wife Jamie became parents Tuesday to a six-pound, seven-ounce girl named Brooklyn Jayden. The baby is the couple's second child. Buehrle is expected to stay with his family in Missouri before rejoining his teammates on Sunday. yuck lol

QUOTE (lostfan @ Mar 4, 2009 -> 09:18 AM) ^^ Not convinced of anything other than the fact that he deserves a shot to get on the roster. And that's it. the guy is almost 30 , has been a career minor leaguer. he only had a few good games and that is all! he was garbage down the stretch and he proved that when he plays everyday he sux. like u said, if anything, he can be a backup of or something. btw, i honestly dont think BA or owens should be an everyday cf.
-
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 4, 2009 -> 09:31 AM) The entire cubs team should be on that list. imo, carlos zambranos contract is a bad one. why is he worth almost 20mil? what has he really accomplished? isnt 16 games the most hes ever won? i dont know, buehrle has accomplished way more and while pitching in the a.l. its just that z gets the ks i guess.
-
dewayne wise, he has this look, 5-11, oh whatever, its 11 ab's! he still sux and always will
-
ha 4mil, down from 10mil he was making and that he could have gotten again

QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Mar 2, 2009 -> 10:27 AM) Aftr watching the horrendous defensive play of Wilson Betemit in Sundays ST games versus the Dodgers maybe we should make an offer to Cabrera and keep him at short.

QUOTE (fathom @ Feb 27, 2009 -> 03:22 PM) In all seriousness, I want Stewart to win the backup job. He at least proved he can hit lefties last season in the minors. i dont think any of them will give u much offensively so i say go with whoever handles the pitchers best and does a good job behind the plate
-
QUOTE (fathom @ Feb 27, 2009 -> 03:22 PM) I just feel that a catching combo of Stewart and Corky would give you a .300 batting average and good defense. Of course, that .300 batting average accounts for Stewart batting .180 and Miller .120. lol 7-0, end of 5th. nice job by the sox pitchers
-
QUOTE (fathom @ Feb 27, 2009 -> 03:17 PM) Hypothetically, if Stewart and Miller can both hit over .400 during Spring Training, would you keep both of them and then trade AJP? no lol bcuz spring training doesnt mean anything. theyre facing pitchers that are rusty, trying to work on some things and scrubs
-
BA scores , 7-0 and owens grounds out..

QUOTE (Markbilliards @ Feb 27, 2009 -> 03:11 PM) Where are you guys getting Gameday from? I don't see it available on mlb.com http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/gameday/index.jsp?g...chamlb_arimlb_1
-
QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ Feb 27, 2009 -> 02:56 PM) Well sorry for your luck BA looks like you will be in the minors this year... its funny how meaningless spring training is. wise can be lucky and hit off pitchers that dont care, are working on things or that are scrubs and end up hitting .500, and making the team , yet it wont matter once the games count. he'll suck as always
-
QUOTE (joesaiditstrue @ Feb 27, 2009 -> 02:54 PM) the overachievers are at it again Owens walks, followed by a Deweezy triple 5-0 sox .429avg for wise now..uh oh lol
-
QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Feb 27, 2009 -> 02:50 PM) Gameday showing Viciedo's HR was dead center, I likey i know its spring training but what i like is that, like ozzie said, hes not scared, thats really a positive

QUOTE (Kenny Hates Prospects @ Feb 27, 2009 -> 11:25 AM) You're probably right. BTW, what do the numbers at the end of your name mean? I've seen that before, the 1334 thing. Is it like some code or something? lol i just always use them bcuz i wont forget them. i chose them because ozzie(13)and freddy(34, probly my fave ex sox of all time) bcuz if i chose some random number i wouldnt remember them lol
-
off subject, i know but who is this pitcher theyre referring too..or maybe i just forgot.. whitesox.com It was Guillen who apologized to the White Sox fan base last year for putting a relief pitcher into a game against Boston who had been regularly getting hammered and got crushed once again by the Red Sox on that night. That particular pitcher no longer is with the team.

QUOTE (Kenny Hates Prospects @ Feb 27, 2009 -> 11:04 AM) I grew up not even caring about the Cubs. In fact, I didn't even know the Chicago Cubs the franchise existed until I was maybe 7 or 8 years old, that's how Sox-centric it was. I even rooted for the Cubs in 2003 because the Sox missed the playoffs and I had some friends who were really great non-Sox-hating Cub fans who I wanted to see happy. It wasn't until I started to catch s*** from some d-bag Cub fans at work and so on for wearing Sox gear that I began to dislike the fans. I still didn't even loathe the Cubs team itself until I noticed "the greatest fans in the world" throwing their garbage all over CF during one game I attended. Once I realized that the Cubs organization practically encouraged that behavior by mentioning it so light-heartedly on-air, and how they do still encourage throwing baseballs back by calling it "tradition," then I began to hate the Cubs and wish years and years of pitiful failure upon them. i think thats why most sox fans hate the cubs bcuz i was the same. i didnt dislike the cubs, i just liked the sox, but its when the cub fans start talking crap that u learn to dislike them. vise versa too

QUOTE (Kalapse @ Feb 19, 2009 -> 04:42 PM) hopefully for their sake too(winning bidder), viciedo is the real deal lol http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...3DLVI%26ps%3D54

QUOTE (R.J. @ Feb 25, 2009 -> 03:48 PM) Don't think I'm basing this purely off of today, but Tyler Flowers is pretty clearly a future first baseman. then why would they say hes the future c? we need someone after aj

QUOTE (daa84 @ Feb 25, 2009 -> 10:59 AM) Quentin Owens Dye in the OF Fields Ramirez Getz Broussard across the IF AJ catching Richard Thome DHing I'll be waiting to see if guys like Beckham, Flowers, JorDanks, Viciedo, Nunez get in after an AB or two (or IP)for the starters hes the one im most anxious to see. just bcuz he looked great in bp doesnt mean anything or that he has ton of power. i want to see if he cant actually hit or is he guna be like andruw jones or something lol
