That team was not as good as this one and they've spent near the cap which was what everyone always asked for. You will be the person that if they win a world series you will be unsatisfied, call it luck and refuse to go to a game unless they add 3 more all star players.

True. There is the distinct possibility they knew the market for FA OF was starting at 5-7 years and 125 and they just decided they would use the resources elsewhere. I know many think they got caught with their pants down or misread the market. Maybe they knew the market and that's why they went elsewhere.

But then the media gives them a gard time for not talking. When they are stuck there is no good choice, they need to determine which is the lesser of the evils.
