  1. True. He had about 7 weeks off due to the surgery so he should not have some of the issues that some players who have played the whole season though.
  2. Being in the Sox FO is like being a parent. No matter what you do, it isn't right.
  3. Oakland and Tampa are pretty good teams.
  4. Goes back to the same question. What's more important HFA or a healthy team.
  5. I took it as if they don't have a good playoff run people will remember August and September and say it was a bad season.
  6. Isn't that the purpose of a rebuild. Build a young, talented core then supplement with veteran FA?
  7. Why would anyone care about August/September? The regular season is about making it to the playoffs. If the Sox miss the playoffs then those months matter.
  8. Surprised he needs to use both arms to do it.
  9. Bad hamstring injuries just take forever to come around. He won't really be right until next season.
  10. Never said they could stop him. Just how they should play him to make it look like they are trying.
  11. Teams know how to play him now without doing research. Play to pull against RHP and to go away against LHP.
  12. Nerds rule the world.
  13. He said that he was out due to the hamstring soreness. Then he was in the batting cage swinging and hurt his back,
  14. Packy is a nickname for Patrick.
  15. They are day to day, as are we all.
  16. With 14 games in 13 days it makes sense leading into the end of the season.
  17. Magically went from lower extremity soreness to low back inflammation. Maybe mental break is a more appropriate diagnosis.

Isn't that what you did by saying it is stoopid conservatives that think this way? You are assigning the opinion to a political group thus making it political. I happen to agree with the majority of your statements but generalizing it to a political group, even if it is the majority, isn't inclusive of the entire group.
  19. He wasn't near the wall but if he continued at full speed to get to it, he would have. That's why he pulled up so his momentum wouldn't have taken him into it.
  20. At the game Saturday I was joking with fans in the area that the Sox should petition the league office to have the runner start at 1st in extra innings as they seem to do better there than with RISP.

This is why it's become political. If someone disagrees with a point of view, it's wrong and stooopid and from the other side of the aisle.
  22. It hit the wall right near me. I saw him pull up as he was running towards us like he didn't want to hit the wall. My thought was "good the Sox need him injuring himself right before the playoffs" Could he have caught it? Maybe. But right now I would prefer he err on the side of safety.
  23. I actually thought it was a good game plan. They ran the ball and stuck with it against the best defense in the NFL. Everyone one of the drives went into Rams territory. There were games last year where they didn't even get into the opponents territory the whole game. They had kept the ball quite a bit. The defense is the group that really screwed this one up.
  24. I think it's more that he didn't play at all in the preseason. He just needs to get his timing back.
  25. This is the correct take. The game plan had nothing to do with Dalton not being able to throw down field. It has everything to do with the poor tackle play and that was BEFORE they lost Peters and Borom.
