Dang pessimism reaching a new low. They are winning good you need to attack the World Series team.

With back to back ones, it's just like two inning outings due to the decreased rest.

Instead of increasing the number of innings in a single outing, they are doing back to back days. Another way to increase the endurance.

You are correct. The good players need to carry the team. They are not.

The man no one wants with a hit!

If Anderson, abreu, Jimenez and moncada aren't hitting, a replacement 2B isn't going to make a difference.

Trade Deadline Thread
It would be a reliever not a starter.

It depends on the pitcher but I would agree with the other poster that the bullpen is the greater need for the playoffs as I'm pretty sure they can make it with the current roster.

I would disagree depending on the pitcher of course. If it is an impact reliever there will be more than 15 innings including the playoffs. Also those innings if there are in high leverage situation are much more important than many of the AB's from the 2B. It's not just the amount of time that stats like WAR count, it's also the importance of the situation that counts. An impact reliver will have a greater impact on this team's playoff success.

Starling Marte to As is close
He's 23 with a better than 3/1 K/BB. Young with a lot if potential and MLB experience. He's a nice piece to get for Marte.

It's the same problem. However the are 3 basic causes if the problem. It can be a first rib mobility issue. It can be an impingement in the neck. It can be an impingement near the shoulder with the pen minor under the corcoid process. Just depends on where the impingement is occurring so while it's the same problem could be a very different issue and surgery.

Yeah. That's a tough one. Depends on if it's in the neck or shoulder. The shoulder is the easier if the 2.

It's not so bad if Robert is back to himself again.

Trade Deadline Thread
Agreed. I just don't think the Sox should give up enough of their resources to make 3 deals. That's why I wouldn't trade for a 2B unless it was really cheap.

2021 MLB Draft Day 2 Thread
Refusing to participate in the pre-draft medicals and MRI should have been a clue.

That is an awful OF defense. Should put Sheets in RF and DH Vaughn to really make it a circus.

Luis Robert cleared for Rehab Assignment
It's tough to say. Any muscle injury like that, increases the chance it will be injured again. However the mechanism of this injury was a fluke as he tripped right before the bag and tried to stretch for the bag.

This could be the confounding variable. We will need to see what the eventual deal is.

This would be my vote.

I would think that or Engel/Sheets/Garcia was a given. If they do anything for a position player it would be 2B.

All depends on the price. thats the interesting part.

2021 White Sox draft selections and signings thread
This is more on the team. If they knew other teams were offering more, why draft him? They wasted their pick if they knew his price.

That would be interesting.
