It's not ok, I just understand why they do it. I've said repeated times that throwing at the hitter is against the rules and should be punished. But I understand why it gets frustrating and why it's done. I've also said I wouldn't do it and I have never taught anyone to do it. I hope you are clear on that logic. -
Giolito to 10 day IL, Cordell & Fulmer recalled

This was my concern. Will they do a piggy back start with the two of them because they both have done multiple inning appearances? -

I have no issue with it but that doesn't mean it shouldn't be punished. The deserved to be thrown at was for the multiple times he has done it. I can see why someone would do it. I personally would not and would not teach it but I can see why someone would but it breaks the rules and should be punished. If my son did it multiple times I can see why it would frustrate the other player enough to where it might get them to do it. This is why I don't want him to do it. Anderson's bat flip is not the first time he has done it and not the first time someone from the Royals has had an issue with him doing it. They didn't throw at him until he did it multiple times. This is why I can see why they did it. -

I think there was something to him starting his baseball career late because he focused on basketball for so long. He really was and is still learning the game. He is an athlete that is becoming a baseball player. -

Eloy kills high fastballs, low pitches not so much. Should his nickname be Cerrano? -

No I don't expect him to know about it. That isn't the issue. The issue is should the hitter celebrate every home run or hit they get. My point is they should celebrate a big moment in the game. If the pitcher retaliates by hitting a hitter, he should be punished. I don't think it's stupid at all. celebrate important things not the mundane. Hitting a home run happens 5,000 times during a baseball season, Anderson will probably do it 25 times this season. That is not worth celebrating. -

I would not have an issue with this as I would define it as a special moment. -

Professionalism isn't the retaliation. Professionalism is how Anderson reacts after the home run. The pitcher broke the rules, he should get ejected, maybe suspended if its egregious enough. -

no doubt about this. -

Yes, what about the kid that threw the pitch? Are you going to tell him that if he doesn't want to see a celebration get the kid out? Kids that age don't see the shades of gray in the MLB discussion. It's more black and white about taunting the pitcher. -

No. If someone does that they should be punished. in this situation Keller was ejected. He broke the rules and was punished for it. -

I disagree that a home run not in a big moment is worth celebrating with teammates. A game winning one or anything in a big moment, I would agree. This home run for Anderson was nothing special. Not worth celebrating. -

ok. I guess we see it differently. When my kid try the bat flip for hitting a home run, I pulled him from the game. -

Sure. Like I said, I don't disagree with celebrating big moments. But celebrating something that happens about 5,000 times in a season? It's not worth celebrating. -

Celebrating every mundane thing can be. Do you think it's fine for 7, 8 and 9 year olds to do the same thing? Every time they get a home run to do the same thing? -

Correct. This is why Keller should have been ejected and not Anderson. I'm not saying anything that actually happened in the game was right or wrong. I can just saying I don't agree with the lack of professionalism in celebrating a mundane moment. A game winning HR in the bottom of the 9th, sure. But not the mundane activites. -

Not me. I'm not involved with it. Nothing I say or do will have any effect. Just my opinion. Also I don't think it's much of a problem. It doesn't happen to often. Tim has just done this repeatedly in games with the Royals. -

They are also examples for younger generations. Just depends on how you think kids should act because they will follow the examples. I do follow the NFL and they still do have many rules regarding how the celebrations may occur. -

There have been many issues with it in NFL. They have specific rules on who can do it, when they can do it, what props they can use. Who cares if it's 2019. Professionalism isn't arbitrary. -

I guess I perceive a celebration differently. Celebrations, in general are for big moments, Birthdays, graduations, weddings. Celebrations aren't for doing your job. -

This is the issue I have with the situation. He did nothing to get ejected other than previous run ins with Joe West.
