I think you have it backwards. The die hard roots for the team and enjoys the game no matter what. They are tied to the team. You are tied to and a die hard fan of wins and wins only. There is nothing wrong With emotion and anger but die hard still root for the the team no matter what.

I think that the Mack pick up allows the Bears to win games while playing a more conservative game and let Trubiskey learn as he goes. Its really the best of both worlds if they can make the playoffs while Nagy learns to be a head coach and Trubiskey learns how to be an NFL QB.

Like it or not they drafted a project and just like the Sox rebuild, they need to stick with it and progress him as he can. If they give him too much too soon, he will cause too many issues and the defense won't win them games. What you see now and what he, Nagy and the offense look like at the end of the season will be very different things.

I don't think there is even a remote chance this happens. It took Alex smith 2-3 years to get good in this offense and he had the advantage of being an NFL QB for years.
