I'm going to break this down and address each point.
1. Not firing JM. Agreed. JM should have been canned in late May or about the time the Sox promoted Walker. However, the club did turn around and temporarily saved his job. That was a lucky break for JM.
2. Koch. How could Kenny foresee Koch would lose his heater? He had it in Arizona in 2003. On the surface, the Koch/Foulke trade looked like a prudent move at the time, considering Foulke was on the free agent exit ramp.
3. Which Berry/Barry is which and what was the other one done? This is a non-issue in my book. Rookie mistake that had no negative consequences.
4. Konerko. Overpaid, yes. But if he hits like we all know he can, not by much.
5. Clayton. A huge mistake any way you look at it.
6. Mid-season trades. If KW did nothing and we lost by 4 games, it would be because he didn't do anything. He tried. It didn't work. I give him credit for going for it and don't begrudge those trades one iota.
