Hypothetical question here. If Bill Clinton, now that he has been out of office as president for a term, decided to run for office again, could he do so? I guess the question is, Is the limit two terms period, or two consecutive terms as president? Also, could the Democratic nominee name Bill Clinton as his running mate?

You have to remember that for 400 years, blacks were selectively bred in this country to produce bigger, stronger slaves. That would tend to put the cream of the crop for athletic genes into a broadbased group that has since gone on to reproduce several generations. That, in itself, would account for part of the reason for the athleticsm of taday'd African-Americans. And I'm sorry if this post offends anybody, but I am just stating a fact that hasn't been mentioned yet. Of course, Jimmy the Greek Snyder got fired from CBS for saying almost the very same thing.

That's interesting speculation on Jiggett's part. And it's not entirely out of the question. Considering that JR is getting up there in years, he may be looking to sit on the front porch and drink lemonade. Also, we had that recent rumor about Trump negotiating or interested in a pro sports franchise in the $250 million ballpark, and that is about the right amount for the Sox. It's a longshot, but there may be a smidgen of creedence to this.

I just read a couple of articles out of LA. It appears that McCourt will move quickly and the probabilities are that Evans is on the verge of becoming history. McCourt wants some offense and he wants it now. Rumor has it that he will talk to Pat Gillick about the GM job. The A's have said they will not give LA permission to talk to Billy Beane, so that appears to be a dead issue. We might end up with a couple of those prospects for Maggs after all.

Rogers didn't even hint that this is anything more than speculation. If ESPN has it listed on it's rumors page, it's probably based on this article. Valentin, Konerko and moving Koch's salary for Washburn and Erstad would be ok, but I'd like to see them add Travis Lee to play 1B with Koch's salary out of the equation. That would go a long way toward balancing the lineup. Maggs, Frank and Carlos from the right side, Erstad and Travis Lee from the left.

If a guy is more concerned about his "star status" than he is about the team and winning then just leave him in perpetual free agnecy for all I care. I'd rather not have him.
