He already was wrong, in spirit in not technically. I pointed out several comebacks made by teams farther back than 7, AFTER the break. He choose to ignore that fact and stick with his narrow minded view of this one particular technicality.

Pena really has done a great job. Nobody expected the Royals to be anything close to what they have been, and with all the injuries they've had to the pitching staff, he kept them hanging in there. They are fading now, and it will really be difficult for them to overtake both Sox and Minni. But, still, so much more than was expected.

Loaiza certainly seems to be the front runner at this point. But, this thing is not decided yet. A couple of bad outings and he could lose his momentum, as well as the AL Central, for that matter.

I usually try and read a complete thread before I comment, but after seven pages of this drivel, I had to stop. Jugger, what happened here was that you posted a poll hoping for a certain result and it blew up in your face. You got pissed off and started throwing these: :fyou around. When that happened, the all the pompous season ticket holders pretty much gave it to you with both barrels. Then that comment about not going if it's not a .500 team pretty much sealed your fate because it does make you the definition of a fair weather fan. I know, you tried to tap dance out of that by claiming you were a "die-hard" and blaming your friends. Having said all that, you did tone it down and come back to being more civil with your comments. That was cool. I didn't vote in your poll because I live out of state and any time I get to attend a game it's a treat for me. However, you might try sitting and composing a nice, well thought out and well-worded letter to the Sox management, which you present your point of view. I'd recommend not using any of these: :fyou

Thanks. Its not the flamers, its the numersous mindless posts i have to sift through. Its tiring. I guess i just need a break, been here too much. At times, some of the stuff does get tiring. But, for the most part, I really enjoy this board.
