  1. WTF GW an 8 vs. #9 UNC Wilmington? Syracuse a 5, not a surprise. Syracuse vs. A&M in a 5 vs. 12 game.....nice.
  2. Where you live? And get your ass in a basement.
  3. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 04:42 PM) The actual play was far from pretty. I meant more the competitiveness/intensity/effort aspect. No question about that, which is why the Big 10 in my unbiased opinion is the best league in America.
  4. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 04:38 PM) Paul's not from Chicago. I do see your point, though. Yeah sorry, I meant in general. If they say it's about ANYTHING except the money, it's almost guaranteed to be a lie.
  5. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 04:36 PM) This is no doubt dissapointing. But the Bears offer was more than fair. I guess I read too much into the "coming back home" stuff. Bunch of bulls***, always is. It is ALL about the money 99 percent of the time. People like Paulie are a RARE RARE RARE exception to the rule.
  6. U.S. has blown several great scoring chances, especially early. If they don't come back and win, there's your reason why.
  7. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 04:31 PM) This was a great BIG 10 tourney. Ehh not really. Pretty good game today, but yesterday's games were marred by missed open looks and tired legs. Overall, an average Big 10 Tourney, although they almost always are because these teams know each other so well and are tired.
  8. QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 04:27 PM) $31 million for Randle El? You think being underneath that is just being "cheap"? Maybe not, but the Bears will never sign the big free agents and take the next step, especially after a season like last year. Same old sorry act, even if maybe in this case they were right.
  9. Yeah, so much for that. Bunch of worry for nothing, per usual.
  10. Ahh yes, Texas and Kansas are tied with 10 min left, then Texas doesn't hit a FG for 9 minutes. That is a bit of a problem.
  11. Ohio State is a dangerous team to pick to go far....their legs seem to be going out lately, causing the 3's to miss, and if you have enough depth inside to get Dials in foul trouble, tOSU will have problems.
  12. Iowa played well and caught Ohio State at a great time with them not playing well. Congrats to them on the BTT Title, should get a 3 seed because of it.
  13. Shocking to see the Bears lose out for being cheap.
  14. Yes sir, I was just gonna post that. There is only 1 thing for the bubble teams to still watch, be big Florida fans against South Carolina.
  15. Nebraska and Wake were soundly beaten today, Nevada defeated Utah State, San Diego State defeated Wyoming, and Pacific defeated Long Beach State. Good day for the bubble teams. The only thing left for bubble teams to watch tomorrow is South Carolina vs. Florida, and root like hell for Florida if your on the bubble.
  16. Nebraska and Wake were soundly beaten today, Nevada defeated Utah State, San Diego State defeated Wyoming, and Pacific defeated Long Beach State. Good day for the bubble teams.
  17. Congrats to class A boys Champs Seneca, going 35-0 to become the first undefeated class A boys Champs since 1986.
  18. North Carolina actually scared me A LOT today even in defeat. A DAMN GOOD Boston College team shot 61 percent for the game, hit half of their 16 three point attempts, played solid defense, dominated the glass.....and won by 3.
  19. Not sure how it got to this, but the color guy on the UCLA/Cal game just said "Dick......so hard knocked the camera out". That is the leader in the clubhouse for best unintended humor moment of March so far.
  20. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Mar 11, 2006 -> 06:18 PM) Ya, they were saying if he comes back next year, he could be up for player of the year. They are lucky he's 6'8, or he'd be a lock to leave. With that said, he might leave anyways. Reminds me a lot of Elton Brand.
  21. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Mar 11, 2006 -> 04:39 PM) Oh, I'm with you...even if other will question my die-hard Bulls fandom... Like I've said before, I'm not shedding any tears after any Bulls losses. The higher their pick, hopefully the more beneficial it will be for the Bulls' future. A ninth place finish does nothing for this team. Agreed, this could be a blessing in disguise. I won't cry if we crash and burn this year and end up with TWO very high picks.
  22. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Mar 11, 2006 -> 05:14 PM) I still think people need to wait until you pair Chandler with an actual center (like Aldridge) and see how he does then. This is what Brand's 5th or 6th season in the NBA and he hasn't really dominated like he has until this season. Maybe the same timeframe for Chandler? Brand has been good for 20 and 10 his whole career, it's just being noticed this year since he's a bit better with more help and his team doesn't suck for once since he has that help. If you put Chandler with Aldridge and Aldridge is a stud, then Tyson maybe averages about 8 and 12 a game, still not in the same neighborhood as Brand. You could put Jesus with Chandler, but Tyson would still have s*** hands and no offensive game.
  23. Leon Powe is still the most underrated player in America, even though he's out of gas today. Oh, and UCLA is VERY dangerous.....a Pac 10 team that actually defends doesn't come along too often anymore, but is damn dangerous when it does.
  24. Well, now we are going to have 2 very solid lottery picks. We don't have a single 4 or 5 that can score points, and that's just a bit of a problem.
  25. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Mar 11, 2006 -> 03:50 PM) Yeah, but Tyson's "normal nights" include altering shots left and right like a tremendously poor man's Bill Russell at the age of 23. Put a legitimate SG and a legitmate C on this team, and you'll see just how far we'll go in the long term with Tyson wreaking havoc on the offensive glass/playing legendary defense in the paint. Let's separate championship teams from pretenders: It's all about points in the paint. We may have a guy who could turn out to be THE MOST EFFECTIVE PLAYER IN THE NBA in terms of limiting Opponents FG% down low. Pair him up with a scoring C and then we'll see what's up. And yet, you continue to b**** and moan about the 2001 trade. I'm gonna have to take a s*** on those short term thoughts. Brand might have the work ethic, but he ain't got the rare quickness, height, length, wingspan, or leaping ability to have that type of effect on the defensive end. I use my eyes. No paper arguments here. Don't worry, I won't mention specifics from the "Brand is a better defender than Chandler" argument that took place on here a while back. Brand is a scoring assassin down low, and while I'd love to have him, I'll take Tyson's defensive upside and get my scoring punch elsewhere (C, SF, SG, bench). Brand is special, but he's not that special. He's listed at 6'8, but he's barely 6'7. He damn near defines "Undersized PF". Tyson is a true 7'1 with the makings of a legendary shot-altering force. And yes, being a Tyson supporter is pretty f***ing sweet right about now, ain't it? He's beginning to tap into his potential. Always remember that we're talking about a 23 year old. I don't give a f*** about tools, I give a f*** about the fact that Brand puts up 20 and 10 every year at the 4 while playing solid defense, and Tyson is never going to be able to put up numbers resembling that. Best case senario is that turns out to ONLY be a bad trade for the Bulls.
