  1. If there is such thing as a guard version of Chris Webber, it is Steve Francis. And Francis with Kobe in the same backcourt....lol.
  2. QUOTE(Goldmember @ Feb 17, 2006 -> 04:56 PM) Kanye West hates midgets. midgets don't care about black people.
  3. I got 10 bucks on Mike Jackson
  4. North and B&B are clowns, but they also have solid ratings, so they aren't going anywhere unfortunately.
  5. Unbelieveable the things you can say if your black. And of course, some would say we are racist for saying Gumbel is racist...
  6. So we WON THE WORLD SERIES last year AND are the 2nd most improved team in the AL? Now THAT is some s*** right there, well done Kenny!
  7. So that's where all these damned Cubs fans come from.
  8. QUOTE(The Critic @ Feb 17, 2006 -> 08:13 AM) I like him because: He seems to have the respect and attention of his pitchers He is the pitching coach of the 2005 World Series Champions and He sounds like he should be in GoodFellas No doubt....the pitchers love Coop and with the way he talks, you'd swear he's got a cheap cousin that was mysteriously deposited in the East River.
  9. Haha so both the Cubs mediocre free agent RP signings rip on the Champs because they are jealous, and the Cubs most outspoken leader (Michael Barrett) is being all pissy too. I got 3 words for the Cubs punk ass players and punk ass fans: KISS. THE. RING.
  10. Yeah, Coop is definitely the man.....last's years staff speaks for itself.
  11. QUOTE(Steff @ Feb 15, 2006 -> 03:24 PM) Speaking of the WTC tragedy... and I assume this will soon head to the other forum... has anyone seen this? I'm in the middle of it for the first time. Thoughts...? http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-5...&q=loose+change Very interesting......here is a video I watched on YouTube that I found interesting. At first you might be like WTF, but there is quite a bit of evidence overall that makes you think, a lot of which is similar to your video. http://www.youtube.com/?v=MZY4afOtKM8 I don't exactly think the U.S. did this, but I also find it hard to believe we had no clue it was coming.
  12. Big win, impressive win, but i'm not going to get overexcited going into the break.
  13. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Feb 16, 2006 -> 07:49 PM) Portland's Sebastian Telfair caught trying to bring a gun onto a plane at Boston's Logan Airport. Return of the Jail Blazers!!
  14. Good to see the Bulls close out that half well. At least the late basket got the lead back to double digits at the half though.
  15. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Feb 16, 2006 -> 07:32 PM) Those damn unwritten books. :headshake UGH!!
  16. Btw, the one i'd go with on the top, the one I think Ozzie will go with on the bottom.... Pods Gooch Thome Kong Dye AJ Uribe Crede Anderson Pods Juan Thome Kong Dye Gooch AJ Crede Anderson
  17. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Feb 16, 2006 -> 07:23 PM) Which is sad considering they have a lot more talent. It's one of the unwritten rules of sport that any team with Chris Webber must underachieve. Same thing with the Cubs will always suck and the Bears aren't allowed to have an elite NFL QB.
  18. QUOTE(Jimbo's Drinker @ Feb 16, 2006 -> 06:14 PM) Darrell Arthur, the top ranked remaining recruit for next year has named KU his leader.. he is the #4 Power Forward in the class and 19th overall. My Webpage Ehh he's been a KU lock for a while, regardless of what's been reported. He'll be a very good player for KU, although another guy that may be gone after 2 years.
  19. With the Bulls the #9 seed, 3 games behind #8 Philly, the game at the UC, and the All Star Break after this game, it's a must win for the Bulls. Good to see them come out with a sense of urgency, let's hope it keeps up.
  20. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Feb 16, 2006 -> 04:06 PM) That was me. I haven't really heard his name in any speculation, but if he comes up, he'd be a great replacement. He'd be able to still utilize his ties to Texas to recruit there, and I think he'd be able to get Indiana players to stay in-state. Yeah, whoever you get has to do a better job keeping his players in state. Davis did a terrible job of that, and while I don't buy the "the Indiana coach has to be an Indiana guy" crap, that state is too talented to let that much talent get out of it. Although the same could be said for Bruce Weber in Illinois, which has me nervous (although having 3 top 100 players in the 2007 class, 2 from Illinois and 1 from Indiana with a shot at D Rose from Chicago makes me feel A LITTLE better).
  21. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Feb 16, 2006 -> 03:34 PM) Eh. Keep him in the booth; he's great at that. Sure, he'd be familiar with the situation with his experience, but in the end, he didn't come through at UCLA either. Yeah, that's true. Whoever said Rick Barnes had an interesting point as well, Texas is a football school, and Indiana isn't. Plus, Indiana could offer him quite a deal I'm sure, and IMO Barnes is a very good coach. Another name I thought of for some reason is Lorenzo Romar at UW, even though I have no clue about his background.
  22. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Feb 16, 2006 -> 03:38 PM) Ha, we've had this gtown convo before. Yes, as of now their guards are their achilles heel but a team that plays the type of defense they do, along with not turning the ball over much and having a stud in Brandon Bowman has one hell of a s*** to make it to Indy. Obviously jmo. And I will just say, as always, it comes down to the bracket.
  23. QUOTE(Rex Kickass @ Feb 16, 2006 -> 11:08 AM) Far right doesn't equal conservative. Far left doesn't equal liberal. Well said, but a republican can't seem to be voted into office without being far right, and a democrat can't seem to be voted into office without being far left. Apparently moderation in either party means sellout and flip flop, which is sad.
  24. As long as Thome and Konerko are hitting 3 and 4 and we are willing to give up on Uribe hitting 2nd if it doesn't go well, I'll be happy. That's all I ask.
  25. QUOTE(SnB @ Feb 16, 2006 -> 03:01 PM) I agree with boz and I know i've said some things along these lines to you already, but whatever. We've seen you do this before, the whole "anti everything non illini" and we've also seen you freak out about the illini pretty quickly. I'm thinking about the loss to OSU reaction. There's absolutely no reason to say some of the things you say on here. A ton of us coincide perfectly well while discussing all things Big Ten, but for some reason you refuse to do so. Ehh I suppose I'll try to calm down, I actually like these boards. And I still didn't over react to that embarassing OSU game.
