Garcia to Philly for Gavin Floyd and Gio Gonzalez
QUOTE(supernuke @ Dec 6, 2006 -> 10:58 PM) Well you would be a lousy GM then, I would have gotten all that plus Figgins and Santana for Garcia.

Garcia to Philly for Gavin Floyd and Gio Gonzalez
QUOTE(PhilliesBuff @ Dec 6, 2006 -> 10:24 PM) Imagine if McCarthy came to the majors and laid a total egg, went to the minors and laid an egg again. Thats what Floyd felt like to us. Um, that pretty much happened. Then, they found the flaw, fixed his mechanics, and he got back to dominating. If they can do the same with Gavin Floyd...

Rangers Have Interest in Garland
QUOTE(R.Sweeney @ Nov 20, 2006 -> 08:28 PM) How about this. If Sox fans had the choice of who was dealt... Which team would you deal with and for what prospects? Vazquez for something similar to what the Sox paid for him, minus the salary dump.
-
Sheffield for Freddy?
Two words: HELL NO!
-
A-Rod, what's the asking price
They ARE desperate for pitching, and the Sox DO have an extra starter to deal...

Leading off for the 2007 white sox will be....
QUOTE(SEALgep @ Sep 30, 2006 -> 05:38 PM) Jimmy Rollins QFT (hopefully)

Was our best starting pitcher in the bullpen all year ?
While we're talking about how good McCarthy can be, anyone want to join the fan club?

So THAT'S why Ozzie is slow with the hook...

Trade Mark Buehrle to...
...nowhere. I don't understand the turning on Mark. 1 bad year out of 7 seems to be an abberation, not a trend. I see no reason to turn on the face of the franchise for 1 bad season.

Buehrle
I can't believe how quickly Sox fans have turned on Buehrle.

Prime reasons why the 2006 White Sox failed to repeat
QUOTE(VAfan @ Sep 19, 2006 -> 03:29 PM) 7. The Tigers and Twins beat us at our own game (which was the Twins game before we stole it in 2005). Completely false. The Twins' game was to ride good pitching and contact offense to the playoffs, only to make an early exit. Let's hope they continue that game.

Defining Moments of 2006
There were MANY defining moments in 2005. I'd say at least one per month except August. I hope this is a defining moment, but the way this team has played for the past 2 months, it doesn't look like it will be though.

Top of the 9th, what's your call?
I love the last 2 options. At least half the site should be clicking option #5.

AND THIS BALLGAME IS OVA!!!!
QUOTE(Heads22 @ Sep 8, 2006 -> 11:06 PM) http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb...p&team=home Eeeeriely similar to a certain game last year. This doesn't feel like those games though. I assume you're referring to: A) Pierzynski's walkoff against the Dodgers B ) Crede's walkoff against the Indians C) Both A and B This feels more like "Thank god they saved this game" than "OH MY GOD THEY DID IT AGAIN!", if that makes any sense.

AND THIS BALLGAME IS OVA!!!!
I'm not happy with this. I'm very happy with the outcome, but not the way the Sox had to get there. They shouldn't have had to go to the bottom of the 9th to win this.

Sox vs. Indians...Anthony John Walkoff
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Sep 8, 2006 -> 10:03 PM) Is this the new Paul Konerko? Still nothing the other way but he's hitting the ball hard and finding holes. No, it's the one we saw for most of August.

Sox vs. Indians...Anthony John Walkoff
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Sep 8, 2006 -> 09:38 PM) Who are these guys? This is not 2006 White Sox baseball I am watching. I do believe I have seen 4 straight singles, a Juan Uribe stolen base, 2 Scott Podsednik stolen bases and Freddy Garcia hold a good hitting team to 2 runs through 6 but I may be delusional. I've seen the same thing. Maybe we're both delusional?

Sox vs. Indians...Anthony John Walkoff
QUOTE(tealeafreaderii @ Sep 8, 2006 -> 09:34 PM) whats going on? Is byrd getting pulled? They haven't updated gameday for a few minutes... Rafael Perez is in.

Sox vs. Indians...Anthony John Walkoff
Bases still jacked and a run already in? You mean this team has an offense, and it's not afraid to use it?
-
Sox vs. Indians...Anthony John Walkoff
QUOTE(SoxHawk1980 @ Sep 8, 2006 -> 08:43 PM) Because he's a beloved former White Sox. Hell, people in this thread are talking about Ryan Howard and who should be the NL MVP. Why not mention a good night for Frank? Because, like you said, he's a FORMER White Sox player. I'd rather not hear about him helping the A's to the playoffs, but I suppose I'm in the minority on that.

Sox vs. Indians...Anthony John Walkoff
QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Sep 8, 2006 -> 08:41 PM) Yeah. It's not like he just played 15 years with the Sox and put up HOF numbers. I appreciate his efforts here, but I honestly could care less about how much he's helping Oakland.
-
Sox vs. Indians...Anthony John Walkoff
Holy crap, the offense put 2 hits together. Time for Konerko to GIDP.
-
Sox vs. Indians...Anthony John Walkoff
QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Sep 8, 2006 -> 08:39 PM) I was talking to everyone but you. Okay...that still doesn't answer my question. Why should anyone here care what Frank is doing this season?
-
Sox vs. Indians...Anthony John Walkoff
QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Sep 8, 2006 -> 08:38 PM) Big Hurt up with a man on 2nd. He's 3-3 so far tonight with a HR and 3 RBIs. Why should we care?
