There is a danger with young starting pitchers on bad teams, especially with kids that aren't overly confident. To me it seems like he's constantly second guessing himself, especially with his mechanics.

Collins ranking kind of puzzles me. If he can catch up to big league fastballs, which every indication says "yes," you're looking at a floor of a 10 year career, even at 1st base. Basically, he'll have a longer career than 90% of the other guys on that last.

Nah. The sign of a good storytelling is that it immerses you despite the subject matter. Sci Fi is my favorite genre for a reason. I have no problem suspending disbelief, but it's tough when there's little consistency in the universe they create eg the characters powers and how they relate to other characters.
