  1. You know things have gone downhill when just a few weeks ago, if the Sox were down by 5 going into the 9th, I'd have a good feeling they'd come back. Now down by 1, I feel only a miracle will allow the Sox to come back.
  2. Can't believe this is happening. RAy, just get out of the f***in booth already!
  3. I hate this feeling. It's like September 2005 all over again with that sick feeling in your stomach.
  4. Huge at bat! Iguchi needs to get on base. This is nerve wrecking as hell.
  5. Wow! What's up with Widger. Last year he was fine.. getting big hits and homeruns off of Randy Johnson.
  6. Let's stomp those little kittens right here! Huge freakin inning.. we need to scrore at least 2.
  7. At least Freddy or Javy aren't on the mound now.. they'd have thrown a tantrum and lost their cool. Big out right here!
  8. Throw your best stuff, Count! I swear if we lose the lead here, I'm gonna throw my remote.
  9. Someone from Comcast Sports Net needs to shove a camera in Roger's face next time he walks to the dugout.
  10. Thome, Konerko, and Dye are due.. and we need Iguchi to set the table.
  11. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Jul 20, 2006 -> 12:54 PM) I heard Hawk say its sold out. How come tickets are available on Ticketmaster? I checked yesterday and couldn't get a pair for any game. A few tix might've been re-released today, but it's still officially sold out.
  12. I've never seen anyone lack hustle and look so lazy in my life.. BA looks like he's in slow motion out there.
  13. We need to catch a few breaks today, have a few lucky bounces go our way, and get back home as soon as possible. The next homestand is completely sold out, and I hope the crowd sparks the energy back into this team.
  14. You can barely see the Cell in one of those pics. Wish I could afford a condo on one of the high floors of this building. I'd be in heaven!
  15. I found these pics of Chicago on skyscraperpage. They were taken 3 days ago. Thought some of you might enjoy these too. WOW!! http://forum.skyscraperpage.com/showthread.php?t=110739
  16. Count me in as on board.. The off day tomorrow is a good thing for the Sox. The team looks sluggish, tired, and not hustling at all. And it's all contagious from player to player. I wonder if they're still feeling the effects of the 19-inning marathon of last Sunday.. and then straight to the all-star game with millions of interviews..surely it's been a long week for some of the guys. If Garland can hold his own Tues night like he did in his last start (shutout through 5), it'll put a spark in the rotation, the rest of the SP will feed off the others' performances, and we might see a little winning streak on the horizon. After Detroit, our home crowd will give the Sox the boost to roll through the 2nd half. I'm not worried yet at all.
  17. Voted Yes for Thome! "Weeeell, I'll put it like this.. Honestly, this is how I see it.. my swing feels very good, it's gonna be great".
  18. IF it was the other way around, and the Cubs were on their way to repeat with the 2nd best record in MLB, and the Sox were the 2nd worse team in baseball, the Cubs would always be the top story and once in a blue moon they'd mention if the Sox won or lost. I'm sick of hearing about the Cubs and having them overshadow the Sox.. it seems like the more they lose, the more they're covered and the more popular they get.. and the more we hear "Ohhh, the Cubs boast the most dedicated fans in all of sports". Just because tourists pack their dump of a ballpark every day does not mean Cub fans are dedicated.. I'm annoyed by it and I'm sure a lot of Sox fans and Sox players are too.
  19. If I had to guess, even when we're in an exciting tight race with the Tigers for the best record in the Majors, and on a quest to repeat as World Champions, the Cubs will get just as much coverage as the Sox. The local media needs to stop covering the Cubs, everything's been discussed to death, Dusty's here to stay, and not much is going to change. But can you imagine if they go on a ten game winning streak? All the attention should be focused on the White Sox in these next 3-4 months. The Sox SHOULD be the huge story in Chicago right now. The Cubs deserve to be ignored by the media!
  20. That's interesting about Minute Maid Park.. I had heard that when the dome is closed, it's loud as hell. For some reason, I rarely hear the word "loud" when people or the media refer to the Cell. And one of my buddies was telling me he swears the Cell isn't as loud as it used to be before they tore down the old roof and put in the canopy and Fundamentals. He says it's a different sound now; it used to be a deeper deafening roar. I have tickets for the Detroit series in August and September, so I guess I'll see/hear firsthand for myself.
