  1. Wouldn't be opposed to it but wouldn't be thrilled either going out to 2022 fully guaranteed. Obviously it makes sense to gauge interest in him at the deadline before entering negotiations but say for argument that the offers were pretty underwhelming (nobody offered a top 100 guy) and the Sox and Jose are looking to get a deal done... How about three years, 65 million ('19,'20,'21, so you're hoping for about 3 WAR a year and paying full freight on it) with a vesting option at 500 PA for 2022 at 25 million. If he's healthy in 2021 I'd have to think he's productive. I don't know if I value his leadership as much as yourself 2k5, but it is worth something and if there isn't a good trade to make I'd be fine paying market rate for him, just don't go past 2021-22.
  2. I'd guess he had a setback as he was supposed to have started his throwing program last month, no?
  3. I'd rather he comes out full bore and tries to improve on his delivery at 96-97 then come out half assed and try and "save it". I have no idea how durable Reynaldo will be in his career, seems a fool's errand trying to predict how a pitcher's arm will hold up. Look at Ohtani or Sale...
  4. Team looks a helluva lot better with competent SP on most days. If kopech can force himself up in couple months could be a fun late summer. Lopez needs to cut down on his walks but not much to critique other than that. When he's throwing 97 he's got quite a bit of margin for error.
  5. It's all coming together!
  6. Soria looking a lot better.
  7. are they going to screw moncada again? ffs he should be 2-4 with a walk.
  8. I'd like to see Fry's role extended at the expense of Nate Jones.
  9. good lord Nate Jones is frustrating.
  10. Beautiful. And good job Omar, for once.
  11. pretty good change right there, put him away.
  12. Covey is the new Kluber and Palka is the left handed JD Martinez.
  13. bosox fans are pissed with that effort no doubt, starting with Moreland's jogging.
  14. Lopez seems to be able to focus when he really needs it but then again, could just be luck.
  15. they sure have had some lucky hits, and devers forgets how many outs there are.
  16. He needs to clean up the walks but his is another great start from Lopez. The clay is def there, physically and mentally.
  17. nice thing about today's game is that the staff can show Yoan he was correct to take that with the technology. Fucking horse shit.
  18. YOU HAVE GOT TO BE FUCKING KIDDING ME
  19. Tim Anderson! Anderson almost single handedly turned a 2-2 score into a 3-1 score in a few outs. Nice dude.
  20. Also note how easily a part time 1B in Davidson makes that play look. It's really not that hard to figure out your stretches. Abreu gets tangled way too often.
