  1. You can thank me for that, I manifested it into existence.
  2. What are the odds of a no hitter right now? Probably like 15-20%. Yikes.
  3. His style works much better on a national broadcast once a week for CFB or hoops. Over 150+ games it's grating. I was sick of him after the first year.
  4. Yea it looks stupid. Other teams have some cool ones, not us.
  5. Top 25 all year according to statcast, nice.
  6. Holy s%*#. That has to be one of the hardest hit balls all year. Damn.
  7. It's the INJURED LIST old man.
  8. Two s%*#, cursed franchises. Should be a real blast.
  9. It's like raaaaaaaaaaiiiiin, on your wedding dayyyyyyyyyy, the freeeee advise that you just didn't take....
  10. He has an OPS below 800? He's not exactly a great hitter. Only by our s%*# standards is he much.
  11. A wRC+ of 82 (89 against RHP) and -4.1 runs below average (position adjustment included) with the glove so far. -.2 fWAR. This is the type of player only the Sox keep around. A smart franchise would have flipped him in the offseason for a A ball lotto ticket and figured it out otherwise.
  12. Not sure it's about "doing the work" as much as just not having a body suited to pro baseball. He looks to be in fine shape, maybe slightly flabby but for a slugger that's usually the body type you want and plenty of players have played heavier without injury problems. Eloy is just injury prone. Is what it is.
  13. while we might not be able to figure out the "why" we can use "the best predictor of future injuries is prior injuries". Eloy has certainly owned the injury prone label.
  14. Like others have said I doubt it's due to lack of preparation pregame. Offseason? Perhaps. But it's probably just he's injury prone given these are all soft tissue injuries.
  15. Those are pretty crazy odds for a single MLB game.
  16. edit: honestly who even cares arguing about this s%*# team.
  17. almost impossible to meaningfully improve strike zone recognition at the MLB level. While you can often change your true talent against certain types of pitches in the zone, you rarely see guys that had a high o-zone swinging percentage in the minors suddenly turn patient at the MLB level. I'm pretty sure you know this honestly, but just reiterateda: this is an org wide failing, the players are just here and shitty at it because the org doesn't draft for it, doesn't develop it and certainly doesn't put a priority on it. Amazingly we seem to have zero core values as a franchise other than perhaps raw velocity for our staff. There's almost nothing else we do better than bottom 1/3 in MLB.
  18. He's really not any good anymore. Too many injuries, too much of a mental disaster.
  19. Hey you said it, I'm trying my best not to use any insensitive terms but we're gonna get slaughtered. This is like the Comanche against an East Texas wagon train.
  20. We're gonna get massacred by the Braves.
