  1. I just don't understand making this a priority. It's not necessarily that they were focused on relief at the expense of other options but this is a pattern now.
  2. He's also due for BABIP regression imo. He has to be. Career low .227 last year with a 85 exit velocity. and now he can't doctor the ball anymore like he clearly was. this is dumb AF.
  3. How many god damn opportunity costs are we going to take on in pursuit of relief pitchers? You know what, if the team is up 8-3 instead of 5-3 in the 7th, maybe we don't need so many fucking relievers.
  4. This is a good change. Sometimes optimization in sports requires rule changes. Steals are exciting, this will help create more excitement. Same with banning the shift next year. and personally as a fan of team with Luis Robert anything that prevents him from ripping that thumb again I'm 100% behind.
  5. Happy for Carlos he deserves generational wealth. I am also happy the White sox didn't just give this man 44 million and an opt out.
  6. Clubs and their fans who have seen him the last few years however think otherwise. His shoulder might like fine on an MRI or physical exam, we'll see how his shoulder feels in August.
  7. Once his legs started to go he was a statue. I remember some jokes about him and Konerko in a straight line race to first around the time.
  8. He continued a long WS tradition of really shitty defensive corner OF. He had a nice arm but anything down the line was an automatic triple as you said. Hit the piss out of the ball for the most part tho.
  9. Is that Mark Zuckerburg or TLR there in the hoodie and dark levis?
  10. I mean this is how Hahn talks to the media. He's done the same thing for over 10 years now. Not sure why people react with anything but a shrug. He could be working on spending 200 million or 2 million in FA and he'd say the same shit.
  11. People are sorta memory holing the whole hamstring issue and fading stuff at times after coming back from that. I love Kopech, his spirit especially is impressive as is his talent but to this point his body (and to an extent his brain) just haven't been there. Rooting hard for him to prove me wrong but so far his record is what it is. I don't blame Tony, most of Kopech's issues happened before TLR got here.
  12. 25 starts at an average of 6 per is 150. Thing he has that in him?
  13. 3rd of all it was Chris Fucking Sale who isn't exactly the median case for Michael, as much as I love his talent. I'm with the people that think we need 7 deep. Get more arms in here. I expect Lance to have more issues too. Everyone is getting older on the staff and some of them are injury prone to say the least.
  14. I'm with ya, my expectations however are with what PTAC is saying. Just how it's done now.
  15. I think Chicago is perhaps in a position to not have that problem if they make a smart move or too though. Unique position. Hopefully they wait out Carlos and he comes back on a good deal because he likes it here. Him with another addition would be awesome. We could rest guys all the time.
  16. I'd be shocked if he goes 140. Shit, regular guys healthy and vet don't even expect much more than 160 now. OU is somewhere around 115 imo. Maybe even 110.
  17. Yea I was thinking the same thing. I like Sheets, but if he can get marginal value at a need spot he's expendable. That said, I like him a lot. I think he can have some 3 WAR seasons as a DH type. He has a nice lefty stroke (and eye) and the shift ban is going to help him.
  18. Let me get out ahead of Sox Talk on the FA efforts by the Sox:
