Exactly, Silver (or Stern) would look the greedier ones in the eye and tell them how fucking stupid they are and how they gonna kill the golden goose. Manfred is probably sitting there saying "well if that's what they want hey, we'll just have to accommodate them". Nothing in Manfred's tenure suggests he has any clue that his job is to protect the owners by protecting them against themselves at times.

People don't like Manfred because he's not smart enough (and too weak) to have the best interests of the entire sport in his purvey. Adam Silver is smart and strong enough to look the owners in the eye and tell them that they are gonna kill the sport if they try some stupid lockout season long.

Some rough napkin math would probably have a division winner at 95 games having roughly a 60/40 win expectancy for each game at home over a 84 win team, maybe even slightly higher. If the division winner has an ace that turns that first one into something like 70/30, even better. I dunno, I'm fairly open to this change, I think it's better than what we have now.

3 straight at home is a pretty big advantage, is it a big enough advantage? Eh, I don't know.

I'm feeling optimistic. Not only will a deal get done it will "fix" the playoffs to give the division winners a great advantage. LFG.
