  1. Until Cease proves he can throw more than one pitch for a strike it's going to continue to be that way. Cease has plenty of time left but his lack of strikeouts is quite concerning.
  2. Dunning needs some respect put on his name. He's impressive. He has crazy movement on all his pitches and unlike Cease he can locate it.
  3. Yea I'm with you. Bats need to wake the fuck up.
  4. Frankly this lineup is vulnerable to any RHP with decent movement and command.
  5. Rapida, rev, ramone, STFU LILY.
  6. pretty shitty sequencing from james there.
  7. Serious contreras vibes from Dunning.
  8. I think it's always been this bad but now we have the zone overlay and can instantly see how bad it is. The camera angle factor is no longer in play.
  9. horrible call, robots please.
  10. 164 ISO for Moncada ain't going to cut it.
  11. This looks like a pitcher that is going to shut the Sox down.
  12. Eh, I'm talking more than just his decisions. His arm strength and quickness at 2B are not what the scouting reports, at least the ones I read, would have you imagine. I like the kid I'm just saying he's a mediocre MLB athlete and he'll have to play around that going forward.
  13. He's not a good athlete by MLB middle infield standards, let me clarify I guess.
  14. Probably never or very rarely. His hit tool is as advertised. His athleticism is below average relative to MLB.
  15. Not really that in depth of an article by Fegan's standards but Vaughn has def been taking a lot of balls in the OF.
  16. Lotta good points there. Really it just comes down to not having enough SP.
  17. Right as rain which is why I'm still confused as to why Foster, who ostensibly is stretched out for 25+, wasn't used for two innings last night. Oh well I'll let it go.
  18. For the live of me I still don't understand why Renteria pulled Heuer and Foster last night after they were cruising. They both threw 15 pitches. Sox couldn't have ridden either one for a few more outs so they didn't have to go to Marshall (another guy on borrowed time)? Minor nitpick but Renteria never lets his relievers that are in a groove go more than "planned" or whatever.
  19. He's been doing alright. It's too bad you can only play one DH tho. In hindsight Sox had enough DH types probably should have tried to bring in more pitching.
  20. Those guys don't exactly grow on trees. I'd imagine if any team signed James and he turned into "just" a 110 wRC+ catcher with solid defense (~3 WAR) they'd be tickled pink. Grandal needs to DH more, but once again we've found ourselves with too many DH types and none of them really any good.
