I've seen enough in real games at the big league level to write him off personally. He's a zero tool player. If he wasn't left handed I'm not sure he'd even be on a 40 man. His defense is shockingly bad for a guy with his profile at the plate.

Euro soccer has pulled it off almost without a hitch. Quality of play is the same and hell, even the piped in noise manages to cross the uncanny valley for the most part. Obviously there are certain, lets just say "structural" differences between our response to COVID and the Euro zone's but given the testing in place we should be able to have a season that is quite normal in most aspects and very abnormal is a couple (length and no fans). Frankly I don't think the players after a week will even notice. Athletes adapt. Us fans will too. One thing to look forward to is just how much banter you'll pickup now.

I really DGAF about Jason mentioning the wives but the dude is a grade A cornball and when the team starts winning, and they will, it's time to get serious once and awhile. Jason drives me nuts. He's a bad combo of baseball illiterate and goofball. He doesn't do the shtick half as much when he does national college basketball so I'm not sure why he thinks it plays better locally. He's better than old Hawk (so anything post 2012, which broke him), but that's not saying much. I hope he turns down the fucking shtick this year, but he seems to just be ramping it up.

Having a guy that can cover 2B, CF, SS and 3B all without killing you if he has to start there for a month is a very rare and valuable skill to a contender. To be fair to Leury, he's probably a 1.5-2 WAR starter on many teams.
