  1. thought grandal got that a little better than he did.
  2. Wish him well. I'd have serious concerns ramping up this quickly as well coming off TJ and mentally sounds like he's got more going on. Here's hoping 2021 is normal and he comes backs strong.
  3. Rep in the media? These are pro gms in the saber era man. This isn't hawk trading for some guy 'cause he read a glowing profile in the Sporting News on his skills at third base. Any move they make for Vaughn has diddly squat to do with "media rep" and everything to do with maximizing his value as an asset to the Sox. If they think he can handle 3B for 20 odd games a year as a backup there is zero reason not to get started on it. It only enhances his value if he can play a passable 3B once and awhile to give the 25 man more flexability.
  4. Yup. Was chatting about this with my buddy the other day. We could see some wild ass shit. If a team gets hit hard we will absolutely see guys that "aren't ready" forced into action. From a competitive standpoint it's horse shit as certain teams will be luckier than others, but from a fan's POV it should be quite entertaining.
  5. everybody has mental health issues. Kopech is just more honest because he's a zoomer.
  6. Good lord that bullshit tweet sure did get a lot of miles. People now speculating on "mental health issues".
  7. He also has a chance to regress and loss quite a bit of luster. He had one meteoric rise through the minors. Let's see him do it above A+ now for a larger sample. Regardless there's no way without hindsight you pick Kelenic over Madrigal in that spot. Even with hindsight I'm still on the Madrigal train. I am skeptical that Kelenic is a MLB CF and that he'll ever hit much over 260. @Dick Allen agree 100%. Can't blame them, especially the veterans.
  8. Where's he at? Another guy with a wife and young child. I will say as much as I loathe Manfred he's actually handled this better than Silver from a players' perspective.
  9. Usually I don't get very emotional on these videos but that one had me ready to run through a wall and sent shivers down my spine. LFG!
  10. I wouldn't mind never playing there again.
  11. Has nothing to do with "division" and everything to do with the death cult currently operating the EB. Seriously. Do not blame the 60-65% of Americans that were ready and willing to do what it took to beat this virus.
  12. For me personally it's been an incredibly trying 3 months. I'd imagine most small businesses owners feel the same. To be able to finally unwind with a ballgame instead of endless political twitter or trying to lose myself in a vidya game -- it's GOING TO BE FUCKING HEAVEN. I need it man, and it's happening. Thank goodness.
  13. Missing an entire year would be horrible for all the Sox' youth so I'm very happy they are going to get 60 games in. Hell, we might just make the playoffs!
  14. This sport we love is a fucking joke guys.
  15. Man he holds that ball hidden for a long time in his windup. He's going to slay lefties for his career let's just hope it's as a long time starter and not closer.
  16. Don't you love loving a sport run by some of the most cynical assholes in the world? I think your theory is quite plausible.
  17. Both sides conceded key points it appears. I've trashed Manfred and he still fucked this up but he spurred this today. Maybe the very real existential threat to MLB if they didn't play this year finally got through his and the owners' thick skulls.
