  1. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 27, 2015 -> 08:41 AM) Well, we know the Nationals have extra pitchers available (Gio, Zimmermann, Fister)...but that's a highly improbable option. The Mets supposedly are looking to shore up their starting line-up. So the obvious one is trying to trade Noesi or Danks. Of course, there's P. Maholm out there for free, Aaron Harang, Kyle Lohse...the Cardinals aren't likely to take on Danks' contract, but you never know. Matt Garza, maybe? Yovanni Gallardo, although the Rangers needs to at least try to compete the first 2-3 months (if possible). The Cards keep getting asked by Amaro for Carlos Martinez AND to take on that huge contract for Hamels, so that might be a non-starter for Mozeliak. They're not going to get anywhere asking for Cueto, David Price or Jeff Samardzija, either. The Cubs won't just give them Edwin Jackson....not where it's going to backfire against them. And the Cards can keep saying they're willing to wait on Marco Gonzales and their overall record's just fine. I'd bet the Cubs would actually just give them Edwin Jackson.
  2. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 26, 2015 -> 07:51 PM) from their system? Someone, I think it was rabbit but perhaps not, noted this...not sure what the time frame was, but it was about the idea that Sox minor leaguers eventually produced the highest WAR at the major league level, maybe in 2014 or 2011-2014 or something like that? It also stopped being true about 3 days after Mike Trout was called up.
  3. QUOTE (bmags @ Apr 26, 2015 -> 05:55 PM) Amazing, I am anxious to see how often that has ever happened (could this be a first?) They said last time for this franchise was Bobby Howry in 99.
  4. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 26, 2015 -> 05:51 PM) Orlando has struck out 3 times today already. This does not augur well for him. D'Oh.
  5. Orlando has struck out 3 times today already. This does not augur well for him.
  6. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Apr 26, 2015 -> 05:46 PM) I say 1 You're out.
  7. Predict number of strikeouts before inning starts, anyone else in for 3 more?
  8. QUOTE (Thad Bosley @ Apr 26, 2015 -> 05:14 PM) They played it as Volquez was exiting. Still brought a smile to my face to hear it too
  9. Nice of that big guy to turn into cushion for Gordon.
  10. QUOTE (Condor13 @ Apr 26, 2015 -> 04:27 PM) More f***ing horrible baseball just like little league. We just got lucky they made a dumb call to send moose. They did pretty well on the relay and hitting the cutoff man at least.
  11. Bah, baserunning dumbness but wouldn't matter anyway.
  12. QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 26, 2015 -> 03:26 PM) Why do we sign guys that are dead pull hitters? LaRoche hits right into the shift again. His approach is absurd. If he pulls a ball on the ground, he's out. That simple. Because guys can also hit the ball out of the ballpark with that approach and that's a useful thing too.
  13. I think Jose's eyes got a bit wider when he saw that pitch.
  14. JR Smith just took a swing at one of the Celtics, ejected for today after a Flagrant 2, could see more afterwards. Cavs could be looking at missing 2 starters for their next game.
  15. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Apr 26, 2015 -> 02:18 PM) What's Robertsons k rate at now? And f*** herrera About 2.14.
  16. Yeah I guess we all thought that K/IP ratio of 2 was a little disappointingly low. Good job getting that up.
  17. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Apr 26, 2015 -> 01:36 PM) It was Bayless, not Mayo. And would you rather Brooks be in the game? The Bucks have been destroying him all series, and Hinrich has been invisible After reading that post I had to guess he wanted Hinrich in? Was Hinrich available?
