The 2012 Rotation
I think they start off with the loser of Stewart/Sale as their 6th starter/lead starter in AAA.

Referral/Deal Thread
I know this thread hasn't been used in months, but I figured this is worth a shot. If anyone out there spends a ton of time sitting in front of a computer during the day (and since many of you are on here...) I've managed so far this calendar year to take home $300+ in amazon.com gift cards by just clicking on stuff while sitting at my computer through this website. It's literally paying for all of my Christmas gifts. Be happy to provide tips if you were interested in it.

That makes doing it "Quietly so no one sees" impossible.

Official 2011-2012 NCAA Football Thread
Any chance Baylor could wind up in the "Big 10"? (I only ask because Baylor is hiring and I'd love to have IU visiting every few years)

Really would be difficult to get out of window without making noise.

Looking ahead to the 2012 roster
QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Sep 6, 2011 -> 04:18 PM) There can't be any possible way that Vizquel plays again in 2012 or that we offer him a contract. If Ozzie Guillen is offered an extension, Vizquel's extension will be 2nd in line.

... it's about time
I take it that a corollary to this report is that the Chairman also has no ability to use modern communications equipment?

Probably could jump out of my window if I had to. But then again I wouldn't do so...I believe in the scientific consensus regarding gravity.

Looking ahead to the 2012 roster
QUOTE (Brian @ Sep 6, 2011 -> 04:05 PM) I don't like using a top ten pick on a set up guy. I want Sale starting next year. Chris Sale was pick 13.

Now you're just wimping out. Big talk, no jump.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 6, 2011 -> 03:56 PM) I'm pretty sure this one is dead... In fact, their right fielder has been dead for a hundred and thirty years.

Fascinating. You think NW Indiana is similar to California?

AL teams with similar 33 game starts
QUOTE (Cali @ Sep 6, 2011 -> 02:29 PM) The lack of urgency should start with the Manager, but it's definitely on the players as well. Particularly the Captain, which if the things stated here on Soxtalk are true, isn't helping the situation in the clubhouse. He seemed to be one of the few people who came out of spring training ready for the season to start.

Don't blame California for me, blame the Region.

You can still post those there?

Rios for Rowand?
QUOTE (sunofgold @ Sep 6, 2011 -> 01:34 PM) Nobody wants Rowand. I am thinking. hmmmm. If nobody wants Rowand can we sign him to a minor league contract for the rest of year. Don't put him on the 40 man roster but call him up for the rest of the year? He might suck now but a lot of fan might like to see him play a little bit. Is something like this possible? Give him a chance to audition for a backup outfield position next year which might be open. Considering we might trade Quentin and probably won't resign Pierre. Or would it be better for Rowand to just take the rest of the season off (still being paid nicely by the G's.lol) and get ready for next year and try to find a new team. A player must be on the 40 man to appear on the major league roster.

AL teams with similar 33 game starts
QUOTE (Tex @ Sep 6, 2011 -> 01:56 PM) It tells me that there is a fundemental flaw in the spring training program. I'm not certain what was different in 2005 to cause the team to shoot out of the gate. Some of the problems have been veterans who I guess suddenly don't remember how to prepare for a season? Probably another good reason for a manager/ coaching staff shuffle. Let's not forget that there were some guys in 2005 who, frustratingly, did not "Shoot" out of the gate. Konerko and Dye were awful until late May.
