  1. Just in case - if anyone ever cites Cease’s BABIP as suggesting he’s been unlucky this year I want us to point back to this game thread as why it wasn’t luck.
  2. Cease is going to go 5 innings with 15 K’s and lose.
  3. He also came up last year and gave up 0 runs over his first 3 starts. So there is talent here.
  4. Radio guys say he’s hung a couple offspeed pitches already including the double to LeMahieu
  5. I did not get how hard that was hit from the sound like I have on some others this year. 116 off the bat.
  6. That works for me. He has been better in the past, but if he is as bad out there as he has been so far this year for the future, he’s basically unplayable out there in anything other than emergency stretches.
  7. True, but I also don't believe AV ever had even a 2 week stretch in the OF last year where he performed as bad as he did in April.
  8. FWIW, Andrew Vaughn has been absolutely awful in the OF this year. Eloy in his limited time in 2021/2022 has been substantially better than Vaughn out there.
  9. Out of this whole series this is the game you gotta win.
  10. For the Yankees it’s Luis Gil making his first start of the season, followed by Cole, Montgomery, and Cortes. Tough pitchers the next three days but the weekend guys are lefties.
  11. I can’t of course, and the people who said “if this happened then Hahn should be gone” can make those statements quite confident that they won’t know that either. And while it may feel awesome too say that I am supportive of good things and oppose bad ones, we live in a world where that clarity is rarely present. We eventually will probably have to deal with that in this case, so it seems fair to me to push on that point.
  12. I’m going to run someone’s nose in it if this is settled out of court with a bunch of nondisclosure agreements? That’s rather amusing. What you folks did was the easy thing. Declare if something obviously bad happened and we all know it then the person who did the discrimination is bad! Congrats! That’s rarely how these things work and we all know that. So why is it ok to declare what you all did but bad to challenge anyone on the more likely unclear scenarios?
  13. They apparently did do some extra on field practice before the game since they finally had good enough weather to be out doing so.
  14. You specifically on page 1 of this thread said that if this is true Hahn needs to go, and yet the world is built so that if rich people do these things they have multiple layers of protection so that you’ll never actually know it for sure. So why are you and others declaring that you have a big problem with this if it happened without facing up to the fact that there’s a system that will cover for people who do things like this?
  15. I don’t have a good answer but it’s way easier to say Hahn should be gone if this happened than it is to acknowledge we probably won’t get the whole story and will have to figure that out ourselves.
  16. Since you won’t say it explicitly here’s the text, you can copy and paste. “I would have no problem with the White Sox firing a guy for being gay as long as they settle the lawsuit out of court.”
  17. Exactly. So if every detail happened and they settle out of court, no consequences? Everyone ok with that?
  18. So let’s imagine this is settled out of court with no public admission of anything. If something happened that’s probably the likely scenario. Everyone ok with no internal results?
  19. Somebody is going to score a run in this game right?
  20. Not at all? C'mon man. I'm ok with "It wasn't all Tim's fault or even mostly Tim's fault" but "It's totally ok that Tim Anderson is leading the league in errors and it had zero impact on last night's game" is just as far the other way as blaming him for the whole loss.
  21. I’m not ready to say this team is the most talented in baseball even on paper when the Dodgers exist as a thing.
