  1. QUOTE (knightni @ Nov 11, 2009 -> 07:41 PM) Didja see us all post at the same time huh? Eventually we're going to post 15 simultaneously and break this thing.
  2. Dang, that would make the Senate have someone who actually understands science.
  3. And I have no idea what that means.
  4. QUOTE (GreatScott82 @ Nov 11, 2009 -> 07:23 PM) I'm not so sure Danks or Floyd would 'need' to be involved. Danks and Floyd will be getting more and more money each year that passes. I'm pretty sure SD is looking 2-3 years down the road. If thats the case, a deal centered around Hudson and Flowers is a real possibility. How many more years does Bucholz have before he reaches arbitration? I'm not the expert on the service time issue, he has 1.18 years of service time so far. I think that means he's pre-arb for 2 years.
  5. Yeah, Lou Dobbs is leaving CNN for the Vatican. It all makes sense.
  6. Well, obviously the Vatican can't make a mistake, so we're hosed.
  7. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 11, 2009 -> 07:19 PM) The recent groups want everything closed. No immigration, no trade, no foreign anything. Wikipedia
  8. QUOTE (lostfan @ Nov 11, 2009 -> 06:10 PM) I read rumors that Fox wanted him. Of course they do. If they could get him on their business channel it might make more than 1000 people watch it. Otherwise, he fits the rest of their lineup perfectly. It's also possible, based on how he sounded tonight, he could run for office somewhere.
  9. QUOTE (lostfan @ Nov 11, 2009 -> 05:11 PM) The 80s and 90s were waayyyyy more physical than today's game. Oh God...those series against the Pistons, the Knicks...oh no...
  10. QUOTE (GreatScott82 @ Nov 11, 2009 -> 05:33 PM) MLB Network seems to think Boston has the edge on the Adrian Gonzalez sweepstakes. . SD's new GM was Theo Epsteins Assistant and knows Boston's farm better than anybody. Does Boston have a deeper farm than us? As far the PK situation goes. . why would we have to trade him if we aqcuire A-Gon? He would simply be our DH and he could play an ocassional 1B- similar to Frank Thomas before he became a full time DH. Boston's farm is slowly being depleted by their dealings...but right now, Buchholz is where we're hoping Hudson will be in a year in terms of value. That's what gives them an advantage; most people would rank him as a more valuable piece. But they don't really have anyone who's knocking on the door as a position player right now like we have with Flowers. They do have some serious guys at lower levels though. But those are lower levels, and you only can project a recent draftee so far.
  11. I think Thome may be the only guy on the FA market who actually would willingly DH.
  12. Until we all go shirtless in reply, he won't learn his lesson.
  13. QUOTE (MattZakrowski @ Nov 11, 2009 -> 04:14 PM) Against 100% And this isn't even considering the possibility of the suspect being falsely accused. Governor Perry assures me that never happens.
  14. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Nov 11, 2009 -> 03:59 PM) He did? He talked some s*** after he left about the club, didn't sound to me like he enjoyed his time here. He wanted to stay...in the sense that he could probably tell he'd make more in arbitration than he would if he declined it.
  15. Yeah, but imagine the reaction if he'd had to by Major Hasan a beer.
  16. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 11, 2009 -> 03:38 PM) So the EPA has changed a whole lot and is still censoring employees work (You'll note that they think cap and trade is too weak)
  17. Look for the doctor with the license plate reading "Assman"
