You can keep your cell phone on while it's on the charger, ya know. Works just fine (unless you have a POS).

It's "technically" discrimination? Sounds like the word-for-word definition of it to me. -
Don't flatter Michelle or Steff. I could care less about their inside jokes. If you would have been paying attention to what I've said so far, you would see that I have a problem with them saying stuff like "something's going to happen real soon but I don't want to make my source mad by saying what it is". A perfect example is the other day when we were talking about some of the behind the scenes stuff with KW. Someone said something along the lines of "if only you knew what was really going on", yet there was no SPECIFIC details that explained WTF she was talking about. I don't give a rats ass about anyone's "inside jokes" on this board -- don't kid yourself, buddy.

Subliminal messages? Someone's paranoid. Oh, and for the record, I do not believe in God, so my pro-Veggie opinions are not biased. They are the opinions and observations of a 22 year old who has seen the world deteriorate big time since I was a kid.

Welcome. Why should we promote a minority? We should promote whoever is BEST for the job. People should be hired on their merit, not on their skin pigmentation. -
Last I checked, Big Idea (creators of Veggie Tales) don't conduct marches through playgrounds trying to recruit kids. They put out wholesome, creatively funny videos that people can choose to either buy or not buy. How is that "shoving religion down the throats of America to get their point across"?
-
Saying that I "act differently" is inaccurate. On here, there are many more stupid things said, so I react to them the way that I do. In the chat room, it's mainly talk about the game, so not TOO many stupid things are uttered. Maybe it's because normally, not too many stupid people hang out in there during the games, I don't know. I respond to stupidity in the same fashion, regardless of the venue.

Letting the actions of a few warp your opinion of the whole is sad. By that logic, all Sox fans are bad because of the actions of the few morons that ran on the field earlier this season.
-
So when am I Jekyl and when am I Hyde?
-
The way this country is going, a little more religion in the lives of kids may not be a bad thing. And don't be narrow-minded. Veggie Tales preaches values that EVERYONE should have. Compassion, thankfulness, selflessness, kindness, honesty, forgiveness, and many others are all preached in Veggie Tales' many episodes. You're right, screw them, that stuff isn't important. We should show our kids shows like South Park and Jerry Springer. They'll be much better people that way.
-
How about :fyou Just because I am a huge Veggie Tales fan, that means I'm "religious"? Don't jump to conclusions, my dear. I enjoy VT because of its wholesome message that it sends to the youth of America. They preach values that everyone should strive for, and on top of that it's a very entertaining and hilarious cartoon. And the Veggie in my avatar is Jr. Asparagus, not Larry Boy.

Screw WGN, you should listen to the game on SoxandRoll.com, much more entertaining. I'd rather hear insight from 2 former players than some drunk fans swearing instead of trying to maintain some professionalism. boy oh boy talk about self rightous...........man clujo how come you act one way in the chat room and then a totaly different way on here....come on now its ok to curse on the boards..you do it in the chat......... Swearing every now and then is totally fine. It's a more forceful way to express oneself. But, when it's done ad nausium, it loses its meaning and makes the speaker look like an uneducated moron. "That was a f***ing ball", "f*** you Edgar", "What a s***ty pitch" for 3 hours is not my idea of entertainment. Plus, I love Hawk's stories. Gives me some insight into how the game used to be and how it should be today. I don't think Sox & Roll is going to give me that. And I don't think I act different.
-
LOL. That gives me all the data I need to make my choice. Hawk and DJ.

Your telling me... Actually at times she will watch the games. She's good at bringing the beer and putting the dog out. Ugh...LOL...sad. BTW, beer sucks.
-
Can't watch the game with your wife? You married the wrong woman.

Yes. 100% correct. And I'm not "picking on anyone", Michelle. You and Steff claim to have some kind of inside link to information, but a lot of times what you say is similar to John Edwards (the "psychic"). He'll make tons of vague statements under the guise of being "all-knowning", yet when it gets to the crux of the matter, he's got nothing but vague responses. So, PLEASE provide some specifics in the future when reporting "news". The only difference between news and BS are facts that support the claim, and so far I've seen very little.
-
Maybe there's more of it going on, but it's most obvious between you and Steff. I wish you two (and anyone else doing it) would just spell out what it is that you're saying or what you know instead of trying to play the "you'll just have to wait and see for yourselves" game. It would give you (and everyone else) much more credibility if you'd just spill the beans.

Hey speaking of this, how has Magic lived so long? Does anyone know? Simple -- he was able to afford the best medication from the very beginning. In 1991, the drugs that he was using was top of the line, and was far too expensive for your average HIV infected person to buy. Nowadays, the medicine has dropped drastically in price, so it's becoming a much more survive-able virus. But, back in the day, most couldn't afford the medicine that was most effective, so as a consequence a lot of people died. Magic's level of HIV/AIDS is undetectable in blood tests. So, for all intents and purposes, he doesn't have it. So basically, he bought his life. I am happy for him, but what about all the millions of others, who have or had the disease, and couldnt afford the cure? Well, if you want to call it "buying" his life, then I suppose he did. I'd rather call it "saving" his life. People "buy" their lives everyday with organ transplants, heart medication, etc. It's nothing that most anyone wouldn't do when faced with a life-threatening situation. And yes, it sucks that tens of thousands have to suffer through illnesses that are easily survived. There's not 1 disease/illness that hasn't been survived by someone, but most times a person isn't given a chance to due to financial restrictions. It's a sad but true fact of life -- survival of the most financially fit.

Cryptic statements like this are pointlessly posted a lot by you and HSC. If you want to say something, say it. Don't use codes and winks to each other at a public message board. Save that crap for PM's or something. Being more specific sometimes would help. No offense, just an observation that I would make about anyone here. *prepares for the obligatory "if you don't like my posts, don't read them you prick" response*

Has nothing to do with "handling the 'REAL' truth". I simply had an extremely hard time understanding what it was she was trying to say.
