Nope. But, I know that drawing 3 million with a bad team is not a bad thing. If we played at Wrigley and had a division-leading team (like we SHOULD have), we'd sell out every game. Would that be bad?

Saying guys who drive nice cars have little dicks is so obviously jealousy. From my experience i have found that unattractive women say this about rich guys and good looking guys, so that they can have an excuse as to why they cant get these guys. Its pysch 101. They then get a guy who weighs 290, and works as a contruction worker, and tells al her friends "yeah he has a big dick". Its pathetic. But hey, lol, whatever helps ya get through the day............ Listen... I don't have any clue if there is any truth to the myth. I just sited TWO facts that I hear in the radio all f***ing day, ever f***ing day. What your hard on over this issue is I do not know, nor do I care. Take it up with the f***ing advertisers that are shoving elongate or whatever the name of the stupid s*** is down radio listeners ears all f***ing day and night. Obviously there IS a rather large (no pun intended) market for those of you with little dicks. Advertisers play on the insecurities of human beings sweetie. There are MILLIONS of people all over the world, who think they have flaws that really arent there. I cant tell ya how many millions of pretty women think they are ugly and i guarantee there are millions of guys who think they have small dicks who dont. Guys who drive nice guys drive them ummmmmmmmmmmmmmm cuz they like them? Cuz they can afford them? LOL WOW......and yeah sometimes older guys buy sports cars to make themselves feel younger. Yes Bmr.. they sure do. I know many of them. I also know many sporting that sweet BMW, or V06, or Stang, etc, etc... and are living in an apartment, or mommy's house because they can't save enough $$ to buy a house, plan for the future, etc.. They'd rather have that sweet ride. Whether it's cause their dick is small or not, I do not know. But obviously they aint right in the head somewhere. Actually it makes sense. If you are single, a nice car is gonna get ya more dates than a nice house. Guys are smarter than ya think. If some women werent so f***ing superficial, that guys feel like they NEED a nice car to impress them, possibly this wouldnt happen? Just a thought. If a guy buys a car based on how much poon tang he thinks he can get.. he's an idiot. Which in itself is an entirely different thread. He's the idiot? How about the whore with her head under the steering wheel of his 7-series Beemer slurping on his rod in back of the nightclub who's only doing it because she wants to get into his wallet? Who's the idiot -- the guy for trying to fool the girl or the girl who falls for it hook, line, and sinker?

I've NEVER rooted against my favorite team in any sport, and I never will. How sad that some of you would and apparently have.
-
You think Frank will have a .250 average at season's end?
-
Know what...a true Sox fan would NEVER root for them to lose, regardless of the circumstance. Now we know who's NOT a true fan.

Maybe I'm a prude, but the first time Heather went on her vulgar tirade, it was kinda funny. But, 15 times later, it just doesn't mean much. I'd rather read a post with some intelligent insight. Anyone can just hit the CAPS button and type swear words. -
He made a run at .400 one year. I think it was 1993 or something. He was hitting .400 as late as August I believe. Definitely a solid career, as Jim said.

It's very easy to say a guy sucks after he leaves your team. 144 saves over a 4 year span doesn't suck. 6 blown saves in APRIL alone.....HE SUCKS 1 bad month doesn't erase what he's accomplished in the previous 4 years. If you think it does, you have lots to learn about professional sports.

I wish we played at Wrigley Field. Then maybe people would actually show up to watch us play.

I haven't seen anyone mention this, so I apologize in advance just in case I'm being redundant... Cut and pasted from www.chicagosports.com .... Anger management is considered one of Jerry Manuel's redeeming qualities. The Sox manager met with closer Billy Koch about that topic on Friday. Koch was upset Thursday night when Manuel took him out of the game with two outs in the ninth inning against Oakland. Koch, who has a 7.82 earned-run average and two blown saves, stormed toward the dugout, flipped his glove into the stands and kicked the bat stand in the dugout. "Today I am fine," said Koch before Friday's game against Seattle. "[Thursday night] I was pretty hot. I had a good talk with Jerry and it was good. I look forward to today. We had a good conversation and expressed how each of us felt." Koch, acquired in an off-season trade with Oakland, had walked leadoff man Ramon Hernandez and given up a two-out hit to Erubiel Durazo before Manuel summoned left-hander Damaso Marte to face left-handed hitter Eric Chavez. "I think Jerry was expecting me to do that, to be ticked off and upset," Koch said. "If I didn't care, I wouldn't have been. I do care, and I want to be out there to do my job and finish my job. When I can't, I am upset about it. I pride myself on my job, and I have to just go out there and get the job done." Manuel also said Friday's meeting with Koch was productive. "It was a private meeting, but it was a good meeting," Manuel said. "Billy Koch is the guy who wants to be out there when the game is on the line. I know it has got to be frustrating for him at times. But he handled it about as well as expected. He was frustrated about it because he wants the ball. That's what you want as a manager. You want a guy who wants the ball in those situations. "There are going to be times when he is not going to be right. And when you have a chance to win games (with another pitcher), then you have to make those decisions." --------------------------------------------- I don't care what anyone says, I'm glad Billy showed some fire Thursday night. He's one of few Sox players who have this season, and hopefully his competitive nature will rub off on some of our zombies.

its a figure of speach there, clujo.......lol.......dont get your panties in a uproar......lol.......... ian they are only b****es if theres a buffet to be slammed around... otherwise they are just plain ol underachievers...........lol lol .......... I'm not wearing panties today. And I'm glad you weren't serious when you said we have crappy talent. The void of green made me wonder.

LOL. And what was your answer? Seriously...someone mentioned that they had a gay player on his high school team. No offense, but nobody gives a rats ass about HS baseball. The reason a gay player would be a distraction in the majors is because the media would be unrelenting. They would constantly be asking questions, and eventually someone would say something politically incorrect. THAT'S when the distraction would take place.

Ugh. There are VERY few athletes that qualify as a "true hero". Cal Eldred is not one of them. "Inspiration"? Maybe. "Marvel of modern science"? Perhaps. "Hero"? Hell no. People like Jackie Robinson are heroes. Hell, I don't think I'd even call Lance Armstrong (cancer survivor and winner of like 4 Tour de Frances) a hero. if you wouldnt call someone like lance a hero then your a non feeling person..........heros come in all shapes and sizes and for different reasons.... someone of cals stature and the things he went through to keep his career going are part of the fabric that heros are cut from.......the desire and driving force which keeps one on a path to achieve can easily be thought of as a heros way .........if i want cal to be a hero then thats my choice... he is a rolemodel and definately a man whos struggled through hurdles to get to a road in his career where he can succed.......hes got heart .......hes got class.... hes got a 9 in screw in his arm....he can be my hero ................... Fair enough. I guess we just have differing definitions of "hero". To me, a hero is someone who shows more than determination and an unwavering desire to succeed. A hero has those qualities, but IMO also uses them to better the lives of others -- people that they most likely do not even know. People like firemen, police officers, surgeons, etc are all heroes IMO. People who play a game can certainly be role models and inspirations to millions of people, but "hero" is a term that is used a bit loosely nowadays IMHO.

He knows that. He's been very humble so far, and with good reason. He's always done well in April, only to fall apart as the season progresses. The only solice we can take at this point is that he says he hasn't felt this good physically in a long time. We'll see what happens tonight against a pretty good Seattle offense. Probably Esteban's toughest game to-date.

Crappy talent? Ya don't really think we have crappy talent, do you?

If I wanted to be part of a gang bang, I'd go down to Chatsworth, CA and sign up for one. Any chick that's had dozens of rods in her mouth and up her ass, I don't want ANY part of. Woah.... who said anything about up the butt.. ?? Clujer.. me thinks you are a bit more wild then you let on... Heh. Ya think so eh? -
In the game that the Royals lost 6-5 2 nights ago, they looked AWFUL in the 9th. They should have easily won that game, but they made about 3 fielding mistakes that led to the loss. Collar's gettin a little tight, and it's only the first week of May.

Move Frank to where? #4? #5? Since the consensus is that Magglio is our best player, we need guys that are going to get on base for him to give him RBI opps, and Frank has been our best guy in that category. His .446 OBP is the best on the team, and he's not even hitting well yet. When he starts to, watch out.
