Blix said that they were making gains in their search but Bush and Co. kept pressuring that we needed to invade and not allow the search. In later interviews, Blix has called Bush and Co. "bastards" for subverting their search attempts at every point. Bushie was the one who went over the UN and said we were invading despite what Blix did or said. Let's not forget that the blood of the 200+ dead US soldiers is on Bush's hands. Which Bush? The one from 1991 (I think) who failed to overthrow Saddam the first time? Or do you mean Clinton who had ample time and support to do the same in the 90's? Let's not blame the deaths of our soldiers on 1 man, OK? Take off your liberal colored glass (LOL, HSC reference) and look at the polls that showed a majority of Americans as supporting the war. If you're going to blame someone, blame your fellow Americans -- not the man with the guts to finally take action. If only Harry Truman were alive...

LOL, yeah, lots of liberals on here it would seem. I, for the record, am independent, just as any open-minded, clear thinking person would be.

When was the mission declared accomplished? I don't really recall that. But, I do recall that the object of the mission was to overthrow Saddam's regime, and I haven't seen him or his cronies doing much lately. And many of his henchmen have either been captured or have surrendered. Sounds like a fairly successful mission up to this point. And of course our soldiers are dying -- it's war dude. And they're being shot at from buildings full of citizens. What do you think is going to happen? And like I said, with every death being front page news (unlike wars in the past due to a lack of extensive media outlets), of course people are going to be up in arms. And Rumsfeld, in a sick and cold way, is right. Stuff does happen, and it's unfortunate that Saddam had to bring it to this point. But, hopefully we will never have to deal with that sick motherf***er again.

Yes. LOL, those creative geniuses at Nintendo.
-
Geez, all this talk of Nintendo is making me want to buy one that works and play all of these great games. Anyone know if they are available, and the cost?

I don't remember the name of it either, but I know what game you're talking about. You could pick your team from a list of 3 types of players. They ranged from skinny (fast but weak), fat (slow but powerful) and in the middle (average speed and average power). It was fun, but I still liked Baseball Stars.

SNK, yes. I loved that game.

For a second before reading this thread, I thought Claudette was the name of your employee-sweetheart. , my bad.

Well if Iraq keeps going at the pace it's going with more troops dying nearly every day and the whole thing about intelligence failures. The CIA, according to the Washington Post, cut the uranium from Africa stuff in October...so they are wondering how it made it into Bush's speech in January. More and more people are getting disgruntled about the Iraq war and how much money it is going to take to deal with that. If people start sifting through Bush's lies and bulls***, he'll be out in 2004 for sure. Kerry is going to run but he voted for the Iraq war. I wonder how he and Lieberman thought being more Republican than the Republicans would get them the Democratic ticket. I don't know why everyone is so surprised that this Iraq war is going the way it is. Did they expect us to go in and have 0 casualties. If you ask me, it's gone very well. When you consider that every solitary US death was analyzed ad nausium, it just seems a lot worse than it really is/was. And until we've been in there a while longer and give us more time to search for the supposed WMD, it's far too early to paint Bush as a liar. Sure, he's a liar because he's a politician, but it's too early to say he lied about all of the things he said about Iraq. Time will tell. And how many democrats voted "yes" to the Iraq war? Just curious. Well here's a page of Bush's lies so it wouldn't completely surprise me if he was lieing about WMD. Frankly I'm pretty sure he is. http://pearly-abraham.tripod.com/htmls/bushlies1.html This is only page 1 of the lies too! I want you to concede right now that if you followed ANY president's every word over the course of 3 years, you'd find just as many "lies". That's probably true, but I'm just trying to illustrate how it is quite fair to think that George W. Bush was lieing about WMD. Maybe, but some people think he was lying simply because we haven't found anything yet, and that's not fair. Maybe if the UN was honest, they would have found them for us months if not years ago and saved this country billions of dollars and the lives of hundreds of our service men. Of course, that would be expecting far too much.

That's only because the green feature is too advanced for you.

You ripped Al Gore? How could you do that? Afterall, if it were not for him inventing the internet, none of us would know each other.
-
Isn't that Senator, John Kerry I think his name is, going to run? Either way, it doesn't matter who the Democrats put against Bush -- Bush is either going to win or lose on his own merit. In other words, if the economy gets better by November of '04, he'll be a lock.

Tecmo Super Bowl and Baseball Stars were definitely my favorite games. It was so great building your team in B.S. and trying to beat the HOF team with your team of .150 hitters. Oh, to be young again...
-
Who knows, but it's making this all the more unwatchable. Oh, BTW, congrats Bret on your fine performance tonight. What a joke.

Why is Berman forcing out these screams and fake orgasms for Giambi? Trying to make us get excited over nothing...sad.

Throughout a 162 game season, all 25 players on our roster are going to f*** up more than once and a :fyou or two will float their way.

LOL, I doubt it. There was some black guy out there in a Sox uniform who jumped and tried to rob a Jim Edmonds HR, but I don't think it was Willie. Besides, you know them coloreds...they all look the same

valet parking yes they charge.. but regular self parking if your a patron at the hotel they dont charge.. .most of them dont anyhow its all included in the room rate.......... Trust me, Michelle, they do charge for self parking as well. They do it in every large city in the country. Anywhere parking is at a premium you will be charged. If you just had parking added into your bill fine, but don't be naive to think that the charge wasn't there. It is not included in your room rate, but is charged additionally. well rex...were not talking about every major city in the usa here were talking about chicago...i have never been charged for self parking at any hotel i have stayed at.... places like the hyatt, wyndham, fairmont, chicago hilton, all include that charge in the room rate......been there done that..........if you valet park then its a different story.. they charge.....and expect a tip...... really you stayed at those places, i would figure you to be the hotels for the 30 min rate. yeeessssss LMAO! Anyway, I guess the only time I've ever really stayed at a nice hotel was in Las Vegas (Venetian = 5 stars ), and they do not charge one penny for self-parking. Maybe Vegas is different because they know they'll make plenty of revenue from the casinos. That's a possibility I suppose.

There have been a lot of things that have made the game mean less. I think the first thing is interleague play. Used to be, these players only played in the WS, and there was a sense of hatred between the 2 leagues. Now that they play each other a lot, the anger doesn't build up -- it's time-released. Also, with players moving around as much as they do, there's no sense of "I'm an American Leaguer". It's "I'm a baseball player" now. Plus, they make so much damned money now that a lot of things mean less to them -- AS game included. Without a doubt my most memorable AS game moment was Cal's HR in his final AS appearance. It was simply amazing and a great sports moment.

Not even the fans that pay their multi-million dollar contracts?
