  1. Yeah, walk the bases loaded to set up a DP with a pitcher that can't throw the ball over the plate. Great idea. This team is finished. We can't beat the sub-.500 teams, and we'll be lucky if we finish the season at .500.
  2. A month ago I e-mailed Hawk and DJ regarding Danny Wright. I asked them how short his leash was since he hadn't won any games and had a bad ERA. Hawk said that we needed to give Danny time to recover fully from his injury, and most of you agreed. Well, a month later, his ERA hasn't changed and he STILL has 0 wins. Time to get his ass out of the rotation before he costs us even more games.
  3. When Mark retires, he can refer to the Cardinals as "we". But as long as he's being paid by the White Sox or any other ML team that's not St. Louis, he cannot and should not refer to them as "we". Doing so is very unprofessional. He's still got a lot to learn about PR.
  4. I haven't watched the Sox in a few games, but I don't have to have watched to know what's going on. This team cannot play against teams that are below .500. They have no real heart, and they are not going to make the playoffs unless something dramatic happens. What a waste. Sox fans deserve better.

So she endured 7 months of "abuse". If it was so bad, she would have left after the first instance of "abuse" -- and if she chose to stay in spite of it, that's her fault. Try to keep up Clu.. we were not talking about her taking "abuse"... Then what were "we" talking about? Who's "we"..? You got a mouse in your pocket? I was never talking to "you". "Try to keep up Clu" looks a lot like you're talking to me. What was I thinking?

  7. I just wonder what some of you bleeding heart liberals will say if/when the US troops over in Iraq uncover a massive cache of weapons of mass destruction. Will you give GWB his due, or will you still scream for his "lying" head? But then again, it's only an area the size of CA -- if there was anything to find, they would have found it weeks ago

  9. Buffalo never got Hasek a cup -- Detroit did.
  10. I don't think there's any limit at all. The only reason pitchers only go 1-2 innings nowadays is because managers are so hell-bent on having everyone play.
  11. http://www.baseball-almanac.com/asgbox/yr1999as.shtml Pedro started and got the win, and did not go 5 innings.
  12. Where've you been? Heh. The Wings are now looking to trade Curtis Joseph since they don't need an $8M goalie sitting on the bench. He has a no-trade clause, but a hockey fan friend of mine told me that he said he'd only waive it if he would be traded to the Rangers. We'll see what happens.

Cut and pasted from CBSsportsline.com Tyson's former wife, actress Robin Givens, also talks about being abused by the boxer. According to transcripts of the show, Givens says Tyson would choke and kick her, often causing her to vomit. He would then begin to cry while she consoled him. "It just started getting dangerous," Givens said. Tyson and Givens acknowledged that repeated infidelities on Tyson's part put a strain on the one-year marriage. The couple divorced in 1989. Who's to blame for the abuse? The first time it happened, Mike was. But, EVERYTIME after that, it was that b****'s fault. Abuse me once, shame on you -- abuse me twice, shame on me. :fyou Robin Givens. "Actress", LOL -- all she'll ever be known for is being Tyson's wife in his glory days.
  14. From watching AS games in the past and seeing the starter go 2 innings and seeing him pick up the win.
  15. Um, no. The best thing that can happen for the Sox right now is going out tonight and killing a sorry Detroit team. The AS game is a nice honor, but I'll bet you Frank would trade his spot on the team for 6 or 7 wins in our last 7 games before the break. The bottom feeders is who we need to maul in order to get back into this race, and I don't want them to f*** up and lose this series like they did the TB series.
  16. Like YASNY said, a SP doesn't have to pitch 5 innings in an ASG in order to get the win.
  17. If it's after 5 innings and tied, I believe they suspend the game and they normally finish it the next day before the next game. So in other words, it's like a double header, but with about 1.5 games instead of 2.
  18. 2 hours? C'mon dude, 2 hours of your life voting for some stupid AS game?
  19. Hey I am moving to Vegas. How far of a drive it is from San Diego to Vegas? According to www.mapquest.com, it's a 337 mile drive, which they estimate taking 5 hrs 28 minutes.
  20. I saw it yesterday, and I enjoyed it very much. I don't want to give away any of the plot, but I went into it with low expectations, but it was a VERY well-done movie.
  21. The funniest part of the Roadrunner & Coyote cartoons is when the rock/safe/piano/etc is falling towards Coyote's head, he holds up that little umbrella for protection. too funny.
  22. Heh, betting on baseball is the #1 no-no for the sport. Like Artie Lang said, Sammy would have been better off if bags of cocaine had flown out of his bat instead of cork. It's really quite sad.
  23. You know nothing yet. As usual, youre letting your uncontrolled emotions, control your words. Sorry Bmr... but arrest warrants don't get issued for no reason. The woman knew the resort he was staying at. And the doorman recognized her. She was obviously there with him. Guilty of adultry is more then enough to say adios. Don't even care about the rape charges. If he hurt her, he'll get his. Cheating is unexcusable. If its all true, I agree. This wouldnt be the first time one human being tried to blackmail another.....if he is found guilty, punish him to the full extent. How is she trying to blackmail him..? Ever hear of settlements out of court? She's obviously hoping Kobe will give her a settlement of $25K or more to drop the charges and get his name out of the news. It's extremely unlikely that Kobe is guilty of any wrongdoing, and hopefully his name will be cleared and this b**** gets hers.
  24. Question, and I'm not being disrespectful -- how many Sox games have you seen either in person or on TV this year?
